Day 4 done. Doing pretty well, but the one thing that gets hard are the side lunges/raising the dumbbells out in front up to eye level. I do fine the first set of reps but the second time it comes around it gets hard lifting towards the end...feel it in my arms, but that's a good thing! Happy Monday everyone :flowerforyou:

Went for a morning walk with my husband so didn't get to the dvd until noon. Feels good to have it done now. I could feel it in my arms when it was time to do push-ups, just a little tight/sore underarm to upper chest area. Everything else was fine! Have a good day everyone! :flowerforyou:

Day one done at 7:00 this morning, then went out for a walk after. Yay. I know every morning won't be this good, but at least today was! Have a good Friday everyone :flowerforyou:

Ready to tackle this again...felt good the last time I got through it. Really need to get myself in gear again and look forward to support from the group. :flowerforyou:

Tried the Extra Hearty Veggie Chili recipe from the book last night and it was very tasty! I wasn't sure how it would be with SO many veggies in it but it turned out great. The flavor from the seasonings really made it! Very filling too.

Thanks for posting that recipe, I love taco seasoning and now it will be great to make one with no salt! Think I'll make a taco salad this weekend.

Hi! I'm on day 2 of the DASH diet and thought I'd search for a group, so it looks like my timing is just right here. Thanks for starting this group! I have been on MFP almost two years now and did great at the beginning and then slowly started to gain some back. My husband, who has always eaten whatever junk he wanted and…

After doing other types of workouts the past couple days I am back to 30DS. Level 2, day 8

Haven't been good about checking in on the board daily but I have been sticking with the 30DS! This morning I I finished Day 5 of Level 2...halfway through the program! Not a fan of the V-curl/squat thing :grumble: but it's definitely a good workout. Hopefully I will see results at the end of all of this! Have a…

Day 4 done this morning, then went for a half hour walk after and feel pretty good. Still don't like the side lunges while lifting weights out in front but am managing. :grumble: Happy Friday everyone! :flowerforyou:

Finished Day 3 this morning. Since I have mostly felt it in my arms and not my abs I really tried to concentrate on pushing myself a little harder on the ab exercises. Have a good day everyone! :flowerforyou:

Woke up this morning and decided to start 30DS then saw this group afterward....perfect timing! I did it last August faithfully and saw some results. Since then I have been mostly working on c25k, zumba & going to the gym but I really need to go through this again so here I am. Looking forward to all of OUR success stories…

nybor, when I was at the Santee Chuze I asked about the Grossmont location and they told me it will open around the end of September....yay!! I'm happy about that too since I'm closer to that location.

Very inspiring! Congrats on your progress. This is why I need to go on the message boards once in a while, it just makes me realize why I need to keep pushing myself and try to stick with what has worked in the past. Keep up the good work!

I am still so sad this morning about Junior. One of our all time favorites. Not only great on the field but off as well. My son was fortunate to be one of the recipients of Junior's foundation's college scholarships. He was so genuine the evening we met him and lit up the room, the kids just loved him. So sad  RIP…

Forgot to say....hamandcheese the Disney World Wine & Dine Half Marathon will be awesome! You're gonna have a great time doing that at night. In January I ran a 5k inside Disneyland at 10:30 at night and loved running through there when the regular crowd was gone. Laughed when I read you ran one the morning after a concert…

Once again it took me a while to check in but I see I'm not the only one. Just have had a lot going on. Father-in-law in and out of hospital not doing well at all, putting a lot of stress on my husband who is already stressed because he is so busy at work right now. School/band events with my daughter (who is a…

The Color Run 5k is coming to San Diego! They just opened registration yesterday. It's November 3 at Qualcomm Stadium. I've been wanting to do this, it looks like so much fun! It would be cool to have a MFP group there. There are two waves, 9:00 and 1:30. I'm signed up for 9 and can't wait. info: thecolorrun.com…

Happy Monday everyone, My 5k Saturday turned out well and my time was 35:07, which made me happy since I had been averaging between 37 and 38 minutes on my training runs. It poured like crazy overnight beforehand but by race time the only thing to put up with were the strong winds, which I didn't mind. SaraTN, thanks for…

Good for you Jarnard...have fun Saturday! I am doing the Fearless 5k Saturday at South Shores Park. Been out there the past month working towards my goal of just being able to finish it jogging the whole time without stopping. I'm at that point now. Wish I could improve on my time though. Just afraid if I push too hard my…

Hi there Group! Just a quick check-in to say hi and again I am always inspired by reading what's going on with all of you. Wow, hamandcheese, fantastic results! Way to go! This Saturday I have a 5k coming up and I have been trying hard to prepare for it. This time around has been a little harder since I've been having a…

Hi, hope everyone's having a great weekend. This morning was all about getting stuff done around the house and tonight I'm going to a zumba party, I can't wait! Two hours straight of zumba and the theme is "White Party", they said to wear white or anything that will glow under a blacklight. LP, sounds like…

When I did both during the same time period last August I always did my run first but that was mostly because I wanted to do that before it got too hot outside. I say whatever works for your schedule or try mixing it up and see what you like. I'm sure you'll have no problem. I've actually been thinking about starting 30DS…

Happy Monday everyone, After a busy weekend helping with moving son home for spring break, daughter's drumline comp, chili cookoff @ church, visiting homebound in-laws, etc etc, it felt great to get out and jog this morning. Rained all last night and this morning was beautiful out (just in time!) Eating was also…

Hi everyone, just a quick check in to read the latest with all of you and say hi. My jog didn't go as well today and for once it wasn't because of my knees. Just kept tiring out and alternating jog & walk. Usually I can jog 30 minutes or more straight without walking. A little worried about my 5k in three weeks but…

This is exactly what I was searching for! Thanks for starting it John. I never do good at these but it's still fun to do. I'll try to remember later today to log into yahoo and set mine up! Go Aztecs! :flowerforyou: Mary

Happy Monday everyone, Busy weekend going to my daughter's activities (high school drumline comp all day Saturday and piano recital yesterday), plus a couple family gatherings. Did good with my eating Saturday but had pizza last night at the in-laws. Haven't done that in a while. The 5k that I am signed up for next month…

Found you last month and then got busy and didn't think to check the board on a regular basis, forgetting it's not like the news feed on the home page with constant updates :blushing: So just took the time to catch up since my last post. SO MANY inspiring people here, I definitely will make it part of my routine when I log…

Oh no! haha (sorry, had to laugh a little). Glad you're okay though. I'm surprised something like that hasn't happened to me yet (uh oh, shouldn't have said that!)
