I'm 5'9" as well. Currently 245, targeting 165-170. Beyond that will be bonus.

No loss for me this week either...after a 3lb gain the week before. I had an "AH HA" moment. I have been thinking about doing more smoothies, especially green ones with either spinach or kale, but something about that bright green color made them really unappetizing. Today I made one and used my green Rubbermaid reusable…

I now realize that my 6 month stretch of nothing but excuses as to why I can no longer get up @ 4:30am MUST come to an end....sigh. OP - Good for you (and the other early morning club members too)!

I broke my leg 7 years ago and will never have full range of motion in my left ankle. Can you increase the incline from flat on the treadmill? I use ours and run/walk at 2% grade and no longer suffer from knee, back or foot problems.

First, I'm glad you're going to be ok. Second, can you use this this time to do other exercises (with doctor's permission of course) or tighten up your eating plan (weighing foods, trying new recipes, etc)? Healing takes time but it doesn't have to be 100% a setback.

+1, especially being seated properly. I hurt my knee hiking this summer and was able to use the stationary bike while that healed as long as the seat wasn't too high.

I am up and working out most mornings by 5:15am. I don't eat first either. For short runs 2-3 miles I don't need water during them. On those days I'm feeling a bit sluggish as the alarms goes off @ 4:55am, I may have a tiny bit of juice for little pick-me-up....which is completely not based on science, just that I feel a…

I am starting over the weekend...probably Sunday this weekend. I need to use today for cross training - aka I've got about 2 hours worth of leaf blowing that needs to get done before it rains here again.

Me! I'm down 56lbs since the worst point and 28lbs since May1st of this year. I can finally move much, much better than ever before. Feel free to add me as a friend. I have actually been doing intervals/hills training over the last month and I'm ready to start. My three "run" days are tues/thurs and one of the weekend…

Assuming you can't get a scale for tonight, I would think that 117 calories is between 1/2 - 3/4 a cup cooked....this is just a guess. If you can't weigh it, do you have measure cups to find out how many cups come out in the final product. Less accurate than a scale, but better than a total guess.

How much rice does the recipe call for and is there added fat (oil, butter, etc)? What does the recipe say is the number of calories per "serving"?

Please add me in! Thanks.

http://www.ourfifthhouse.com/2014/03/slow-cooker-chicken-kale-soup.html I just made a batch of this over the weekend. I use unsalted chicken stock, chicken, onions, celery and kale. http://damndelicious.net/2013/11/02/slow-cooker-crockpot-honey-sesame-chicken/ I do this as a freezer meal and my entire family eats it.

You look amazing and should be super proud of your progress - it shows! Keep at it, you're doing great. I'm also a mom of 4 and I'm down to a weight that I haven't seen since 2006.....next goal is Onederland.

I've tracked calories gross calories eaten and pounds lost since May 1st on a spreadsheet and figured out that my TDEE is around 2,100cal/day. I've set my loss to 1lb a week using that and it has worked out. And this is my weight loss trend over that time period. Ditto @WBB55. I could go to a larger deficit, but I find…

I put a ton of chicken breast in the crock pot this morning with minced garlic, diced onion, oregano and basil along with a can of petite diced tomato.
