I have had referred sciatica pain that results in a very tight hamstring and pain from my lower back to my hamstring for a year now. It's not debilitating by any means, but I certainly can't exercise like I used to or it starts to get really uncomfortable (especially running). It is so frustrating as it gets better with…

Congratulations! You look amazing and absolutely adorable. Happy Holidays!

I didn't see any reference to the actual study, but the article says that people who drank juice instead of eating fruit and vegetables (for more than 4 years?) were at higher risk of developing diabetes. That makes sense to me. Replacing fruit and vegetable consumption with drinking fruit juice for years at a time has got…

It's so sad that people are so rude here. I think gluten and highly processed foods cause people a lot of problems. Good luck to you!
-
And I'm sure someone, somewhere thanks you for that. Goodnight jonnythan and all other MFP community folks!
-
The reality is that I'm not out to try to prove anyone wrong and you are. I have stated my opinion and encourage people to do the same and make their own choices.
-
search "aspartame dangers" or "artificial sugar dangers". Plenty to read.
-
Again, good luck to you in gaining, or losing, or whatever you're trying to do.

I encourage everyone to do their own research and make their own decision. There's plenty of info out there. Read it! Make your own choice! Is that so bad?
-
That you are entitled to. I happen to agree. :)

What I meant by one sided, is some people only believe research put out by our government. That this information is the truth and that's it. There's a lot more information out there that's to the contrary. Is it the truth? Who knows? I think people have a right to an opinion. Read everything. Make a decision for yourself!…

Says the self-proclaimed "general bad *kitten*".......

I agree with you, but brace yourself for some alien, harsh criticism. It's a tough crowd.

Who said anything about actresses? I researched. On my own. I don't even watch TV. You should try it. I just noticed you have early 5,000 posts. I guess you've got a lot of time on your hands? Perhaps because you're generally not tolerable to people in person? I can't imagine why. As are your 'pals' who also have thousands…

Thanks, jonnythan. What would we do without your confirmation of what's good and bad?

I said I'm not a fan of SOME vaccines and my children are not FULLY vaccinated. I did my research on the pros and cons of each vaccine. I don't think that the full round of all of the "recommended" vaccines are necessary. I think there can be negative effects of them. I think some are OK. And I have the right to research…

No, my children are not fully vaccinated. They don't eat the standard american (full of processed food, ,minimal fruit and vegetable intake, etc). They eat mostly whole foods, real food. They are active and they are perfectly healthy. In fact they've always had less illness than other kids. I don't pass judgement on people…

I'm not a fan of (most) immunizations, chicken pox vaccine being one of them. I'm sure I will be criticized for that as well.

You omitted the end of my sentence which added the phrase "it's not natural". If you need scientific proof that man made food products are not good for you and natural foods ARE, look up the hundreds of articles and studies already performed. For me, it's obvious based on information that's already out there. Maybe that's…
-
It's just like all of the other additive and preservative laden crap in our grocery store isles- bad for you! Aspartame, splenda and all related ingredients are chemicals, man made ingredients. I don't think you need a formal study to prove it's bad for your body, it's common sense, these are not natural food sources.…

How awful. I'm so sorry for the pain you feel. You're husband is not being a good partner- at all. If he would say such a hurtful thing about your weight, he would likely say hurtful things about other things important to you. Your partner is supposed to support you and bring you up. He is doing the opposite. I would tell…

I've had the same question. Ideal weight searches on the internet vary. some give a range that is quite wide. I think it's important to consider is your frame size. You can search the internet for ways to measure your frame size if you are not sure if you are small, medium or large framed. Then you can either choose the…

In order to feel successful, I think it would be a good idea for you to set small goals for yourself. And reward yourself for meeting those goals (not with food ;)). Before you know it, your small accomplishments will add up to big ones- and viola! success. Hang in there and believe in yourself. You did it once, you can do…

Have food on hand that is GOOD for you. If all you have nearby is BAD food, you're likely to eat it....
-
My post was in reply to this statement. I'm evidently not so good at posting. :)
-
No kidding! I didn't even know that you COULD see other people's diaries. Not sure why you would want to.

Sounds yummy! I'm going to try this.

Great minds think alike! ;)

I'm going to throw out a weekend challenge for everyone. (I hope I'm allowed to do that. :)) Let's keep it general. This weekend, complete at least 1 FULL HOUR of exercise. You can do it all at once or break it up into shorter workout sessions. Do cardio, strength, whatever you prefer. Have a great, guiltless, healthy…

That situation must be very difficult for you since you aren't able to take control of the situation. Sounds like you already know what the limits of decision making should be. The best you can do is talk to the mom, and talk to the daughter. But communicate it in a way that is out of your concern and your step daughter's…
