That sounds MUCH better than what I'm planning to have tonight, but tomorrow night is my night out with friends and I'm sure I will have something equally as tasty then! :)

I'm planning to have some Hillshire Farms Turkey Smoked Sausage sauteed with arugula, spinach, and red bell pepper. Depending on how the calories/carbs work out after I weigh everything I may also add a slice of bread to the meal.

Only if I was REALLY drunk since I'm old enough to be his MOM! ;)

For the peanut butter----if you weigh the jar BEFORE you take out any PB and then weigh it again afterwards and subtract the difference then you will be logging ALL of the PB you ate including whatever you licked off the spoon. As for the other things, I typically log small bites of things as 25 calories...50 calories if…

I think that people who have no food issues or less serious food issues might be able to maintain a normal weight simply by following the MyPlate guidelines and not counting anything. I doubt this would work for me, however, since I tend to think food portions are quite a bit smaller than they actually are when I weigh…

I agree with you 100% that sugar on vegetables is utterly disgusting and for YEARS I believed I hated sweet potatoes because the first and only time I ate them they were drowning in brown sugar and melted marshmallows! And to answer your first question, YES, I always eat the skins on sweet potatoes (and any other kind of…

I'm 5'4" and 153 lbs. and wear either a 10 or a 12 (US) depending on the clothes. My mom is also 5'4" and wears the same sizes I do even though she only weighs about 135 lbs. She carries her weight in her midsection while I carry it in in my hips, thighs, and breasts...hence the reason I weigh 18 lbs. more than she does…

WOW----you have done an AMAZING job!! I would like to point out that in addition to being 160+ lbs. lighter you also look at least 10 years younger than you did year ago! :)
-
@kayjosh2422 ----Thanks! I truly appreciate that I am still able to remain in the group for support since it is a well-established fact that maintaining weight is MUCH harder than gaining or losing weight for those of us who have food issues. I am VERY determined to continue weighing/measuring/logging my food for the rest…

I drink wine more days than not and it hasn't slowed down my weight loss at all. If you are drinking for the buzz more than anything else then liquor (like the vodka you mentioned) will give you the most bang for your buck while beer will give you least. Also, there is LOTS of good information on this site:…

When I look at other people's food diaries I am definitely only looking for new ideas for meals or snacks and not to pass judgement on their food choices. I have had my food diary open to the public since my first day on MFP and the only person who has ever "judged" me is someone who I am also friends with outside of MFP.…

That's awesome! And since you mentioned it, the recent departure of my own Aunt Flow/Uncle TOM could partially explain why the scale showed such a big loss for me yesterday!

Michael J. Fox (and now I'm showing my age! :) ) Food(s) you absolutely REFUSE to eat?

@lisabinco ----That dish looks delicious and it just so happens I have both a lime and a sweet potato I need to use up so I am thinking this will be dinner either tonight or tomorrow night. Thanks for sharing it! :)

Yours must be set to the MFP default setting of only being open to those who you are friends with on MFP...not to say that this bothers me or I think there's anything wrong with that!
-
Either play with my dog or read a good book. Most interesting place you've ever visited?
-
The MFP default setting is for one's food diary is actually for it to be open to your MFP friends only. I have personally had mine set to be open to the public since day one since hiding/lying/being secretive about what and how much I was eating was a MAJOR part of my binge eating disorder. I have actually yet to have a…

Thanks @RaeBeeBaby and @Brans34! :) My MFP goal weight is set to 130 pounds, yet with my weight 23.4 pounds above my original goal weight I feel like my weight is about where it "should" be. 130 pounds is actually at the lower end of the "normal" weight range for my height/frame size while the 153.4 pounds I currently…

I've lost 10.9 lbs between March 9th and today. My starting weight when I joined this challenge was 164.3 lbs. and today I weighed 153.4 lbs. Today my doctor told me that I am no longer considered overweight and that I can start trying to maintain my current weight if I want to. If I were to fail to lose more weight would…

This was going to be my advice. I have the same problem and deal with it the same way since it doesn't matter WHEN one eats their calories, only that they don't eat too many of them.

Last night I was eating dinner in the outdoor area of a restaurant and caught a glimpse of my reflection in the window. It actually took me a few seconds to realize that I was looking at myself and not another person sitting inside the restaurant! I do have to say I am not entirely sure that this qualifies as a true NSV…

The people who are losing 20 pounds in a month are people who weigh 300+ lbs. I started out losing that much in a month, but now that my weight is in the 150s I'm lucky to even lose 5 lbs in a month. And ditto to what the people above said about your cheat days probably slowing down your loss.

@TeaBea Thank you so much for posting this link! The estimates given by this calculator are VERY close to what I've found to be true for my metabolism and I've bookmarked it for future reference!
-
The MFP calorie calculations are an estimate based on the "average" metabolisms of people who are the same gender, age, height, etc...but some people are going to have a slower or faster metabolism than the averages MFP uses. For example, I seem to lose weight faster than they predict the "average" 44 year old female will…

Homemade baked sweet potato "fries" with ketchup and 2 veggie hot dogs with dijon mustard. As soon as I post this I'm going to make a big cup of coffee!
