I think if one is used to using artificial sweeteners then they are more likely to enjoy the flavor of the Quest Bars. That being said, some of the flavors that are flavors I would ordinarily enjoy I don't really care for in Quest Bar form. I have more of an aversion to the the TEXTURE of Quest Bars. For me, putting them…

I just realized the OP is a guy...man up and set the spider free outside!
-
I normally scoop spiders up on a piece of paper and toss them outside, but you specifically said it was a "big and creepy" spider...depending on the size of the thing I might not be so kind!

^^THIS!!^^ I do eat some of what I used to eat in moderation, but for the most part my "binge foods" don't appeal to me as much as they used to since I either find them too salty, too sweet, too greasy, etc. Also, I often don't really like the way I feel (bloated/tired/etc.) after eating them.

If I didn't know better I would've sworn those pics were of my husband and not some random dude online. Most definitely completely normal!

False. I've never eaten sushi.

The "best" alcoholic beverage choice really depends on WHY you're drinking. If you're choosing to have one or two beers just because you like the taste then beer is a fine choice every once in a while. If you're drinking to get a buzz then shots of liquor will get you where you want to be for the least number of calories.

^^THIS!!^^ I think weighing oneself daily or weekly is just fine for people who can be logical about the scale going up and down by a small amount, but for those of us who can't do this then weighing once a month (or even less) is probably a better choice. I personally prefer to focus on how my clothes are fitting instead…

I weigh about 90% of what I eat and have noticed that virtually everything weighs more than what the label says it should.

+1--Eat the Honey Nut Cheerios if you like them better and get your iron from an iron supplement. Or eat more red meat.

I don't think one can do any kind of training to change their basic body shape.

I'm just under 5'3" and will be more than happy if I stay at my current weight of 160-ish lbs. :) Since everyone else is sharing pics, here's what that looks like from both the front and the side!
-
I consumed 1,606 calories today/83 grams of protein.

I'm 5'2 1/2". My CW is in the upper 150s and I am happy here, but if I lose more then I will be OK with that too!

I was already having a drink before you said that...does this mean I have an excuse to have another one??

I'm actually considering maintaining my weight at a higher weight than my original goal weight so I won't have to give up alcohol as often. Sad, but true!
-
I meet with a registered dietitian regularly and when I saw her last week I asked her the exact same question about alcohol that you are asking here in the forums. Her answer: drinking alcohol in and of itself does NOT slow down or stop weight loss, BUT a) most people don't eat fewer calories on the days they drink leading…

^^100% THIS!!^^ My husband has seen me in sizes ranging from a 4 to a 34W and he has ALWAYS treated me the same regardless of my size!

Sockeye salmon is significantly lower in calories than Atlantic Salmon. It has 131 calories per 100 grams compared with 208 calories per 100 grams of the Atlantic. Source: USDA

Actually, webMD says that "going" as infrequently as once or twice a week is perfectly normal. As far as weighing yourself goes, if you are concerned about also weighing the weight of your stool then only weigh yourself right after you "go!"

I was also going to recommend Amy's entrees as a healthier alternative to Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice, or Smart Ones. In addition, I would also recommend Kashi, Garden Lites, and Evol. All of those and the Amy's are a bit more expensive, but I've found that one can get them for a more reasonable price at Target.

For YEARS I thought I didn't like sweet potatoes after an unpleasant experience with them as a child. I just tried a few sweet potato fries when I was out with some friends over the weekend and realized that I actually DO like them. My recent good experience, combined with all of the GREAT ideas in this thread have just…

Never tried them, but they sound yum. back to the broccoli I said above

Yum, as long as it's been reheated properly. If not, then yuck! Broccoli

Thanks, kayjosh2422 and cycletrak1! I just entered my information on the spreadsheet, including my April 6th starting weight since I know I won't be weighed again by that date. My plan is to TRY using the spreadsheet unless my technological impairment gets the better of me! Good luck to ALL who are participating in this…

IMPORTANT QUESTION: I just looked at the spreadsheet in the link you provided and I noticed that the participants seem to be weighing themselves weekly. I do not own a scale and only weigh myself every 4 to 6 weeks when I see my doctor. Does the fact that I will not be weighing myself weekly disqualify me from…
