Definitely IN for this one! My weight loss has started to slow down a bit now that I weigh less and this is EXACTLY what I need to keep myself motivated! :)

I second what the poster above me said about discussing your lack of an appetite with your doctor. That being said, having had mental health issues myself I recognize one of the meds you listed (Zoloft) as an SSRI antidepressant. When I took Prozac, another SSRI which is chemically similar to Zoloft I too almost completely…

I personally LOVE their Sardinian parchment crackers! The crackers are 60 calories each, but they are HUGE, so I never need to eat more than one or two at a time.

No, but it might fill you up and therefore cause you to consume fewer calories when eating your meal.

Making your plate look similar to the one above is DEFINITELY key. A few examples of my own plates:

I've reduced my type 2 diabetes and lost close to 200 lbs while focusing more on calories than on any of the other macros. My latest a1c was only 5! In fact I am OVER on sodium almost every day. My food diary is public and you're more than welcome to look in there for food ideas. :)

IMO one can eat intuitively AND count calories at the same time. BOTH of these things are tools and do not have to be (nor should they be) mutually exclusive of each other.

That is VERY awesome, and so are YOU! I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to quit smoking for 20 years and I am SO impressed that you were able to do it and even MORE impressed that you were also able to lose weight in the process! GREAT JOB!!

^^THIS^^ is a GREAT point too since some people DO develop gallbladder issues when they suddenly reduce their calorie/fat intake!
-
I do it too! And I had NO idea this was SO common!

I second checking with your doctor, but BRIEF abdominal pain is usually GAS!

^^^^It really IS as simple as remembering THIS!!^^^^

YUM! I'd eat that minus the cranberries since I don't really care for them!

Those look awesome! I'd make them with less cheese since I'm watching saturated fat, but they look like they taste AMAZING! :)

I think it depends on how much weight one needs to lose. A 10 pound loss would be a LOT more obvious on a 130 pound person who dropped to 120 pounds than it would be on a 250 pound person who dropped to 240 pounds. My starting weight was close to 375 pounds and I had to lose 100+ pounds before ANYONE noticed it at all.

I could see that, about looking current. Doesn't apply in my case, though. If I think something looks good on me and I like it, I don't care if it came straight out of the 1970's, I'm wearing it![/quote] +1 I really couldn't care less if what I'm wearing is "in style" or not. In fact I would rather wear something that…

Give me the flat boobs, PLEASE! This is the ONLY place I haven't lost weight and the ONLY thing keeping from wearing a size medium shirt. If I would tease my blonde hair I could probably pass as an impersonator of a circa 1980s Dolly Parton! UGH!

Ah OK, I didn't realize that the issue was work stress rather than scale stress! :) I haven't worked outside the home in about 10 years, but one of my friends who has lost about 150 lbs. has the same issue with wanting to eat because of stress from her job. She has learned to cope with this successfully by 1) budgeting her…

Thank you! :D

I'm the opposite of you in that I actually tend to LOSE my appetite when I'm depressed/stressed, but as a person who has lost close to 200 lbs in 500 days I do have some advice for you. And that is to STOP weighing yourself so often if not seeing a loss stresses you out and makes you lose your motivation. If you can't…

@WestCoastJo82 --The big glass in each of the pictures is actually Diet Pepsi; the glasses with the stems, however, do have wine in them. I really WISH I could drink that much wine each night and still lose weight. I suppose I technically COULD drink that much and still lose, but I would be hungry and probably also VERY…

LOTS of olive oil--it's heart healthy and VERY high calorie!

I second what the others are saying about using the information from the USDA. If you google "calories in boneless skinless chicken breasts" (or any other non-processed food) the first thing that comes up will be the USDA information. There will be pull down menus so you can find out the calories in 100 grams. I usually…
