Lean Cuisine is one of several convenient low calorie options that are available. But like anything else, if you eat too many of them you won't lose (and might even gain) weight!

100% agree with you that Dr. Oz is a putz. I eat at least 50% of my daily calories late at night and have lost over 170 lbs in the past 13 months. Clearly he has NO idea what he is talking about!

Since I've lost close to 200 lbs I've had lots of NSVs, but my most recent one was realizing that I can put my laptop on my lap since I now actually have a lap again! :grinning:

A cat, probably. My dog...no way, I could never sell out on anyone who has been that loyal to me.

All of the pictures of you are fabulous, as your username says. However, I am going to have to choose all 4 of the food pics in your profile since I have yet to eat dinner and they all look amazing and delicious!

ANY exercise is better than NO exercise. Do what you feel like you are able to do right now and then gradually increase your activity as you continue to lose weight and gain more energy.

According to the USDA, one pistachio has approximately 4 calories. So if you ate 100 pistachios then you ate about 400 calories.

That is good to know since many people are motivated by their tickers!

ah so you have to use BBCode to do it. not thinking that is worth the trouble to do each time and I am REALLY hoping MFP will bring our tickers back!
-
how did you do that?

It works but it looks STUPID :\

I'm not sure what to think of the new forums. Some things are better, but I think the new format is going to take some getting used to. I also do NOT like that our tickers are now missing. I am going to try posting mine as an attached image to see if it works that way.

I'm not really surprised at how well counting calories works because I always knew it did even though I didn't bother to do it. What DOES surprise me is how satisfied I feel on so much less food. I am actually LESS hungry now than I was when I was eating 5 times as much food.

You must be VERY tall because based on the picture on the right I would NEVER have guessed that you weighed anywhere near, let alone over, 300 lbs!

You would THINK a doctors scale would be the most accurate scale of all, but actually that is not always true. I typically weigh about 10 lbs. less on the scale at my endocrinologist's office than I do on the scale at my family practitioner's office. FWIW---I use the higher of the two weights and actually ask the…

To each his or her own, but I personally prefer to have my tattoos in places where they are easily disguised by my clothes if I feel like sporting a more conservative look.

Yum, but only if I was REALLY hungry. Sushi.

Glad to know I wasn't the ONLY person who slept through the entire thing. A friend of mine called and woke me up about 6:00 that night to tell me what had happened. She said she debated calling me as soon as it happened but was afraid I would stay awake all day watching the news coverage instead of sleeping. She knows me…

I've lost over 160 lbs in the past year eating my biggest meal of the day last. Both my doctor and my nutritionist know I eat this way and they have never said it was "disordered." This IS something I can do in the long term because my preference has always been to eat more later in the day. You need to "spend" your…

Your food label should show the number of grams or ounces per serving in parentheses after the number of cups per serving. If you weigh the food then you can be sure of exactly how much you are eating.

I like Fiber One Honey Squares cereal...it's 80 calories and 10 grams of fiber in 3/4 of a cup. I don't eat it with milk, but I assume if it tastes good by itself that it would also be good with milk. ETA that I am referring to the Honey SQUARES as opposed to the Honey Clusters suggested above me. I'm sure that is also a…

You are right...if it isn't made with raw fish then it isn't really sushi.

Depending on the size of the sushi pieces, the sushi probably has fewer calories. Like the poster above me said I would check google for a more accurate estimate.
