  • I would just subtract the fiber. Not all sugar alcohol subtracts on a 1 to 1 basis.

  • Do you have a doctor or a dietician? They should be able to tell you how many grams of carbs per day and per meal to try and stay under. I watch my carbs but am not diabetic. Depending on lots of things, how high you blood sugar is, how much you weigh, age etc the number could vary.
  • Tonight is taco salad, finished the leftover chicken Dijonaise last night ( and it was very good).
  • I noticed on someone's dairy they added butterscotch pudding to it. That sounded interesting.
  • I have pcos and am insulin resistant and have never been prescribed metforin. I have a friend who was just put on it and he is having some problems with it but he isn't adjusting his eating habits at all.
  • Chicken Dijonaise with French bread.
  • I do. But I take more than that to stay at the low end of normal. It's actually pretty common.

  • My sons eat the same things that I do. I sometimes add additional sides for them. Their portions are bigger but that's about it.
  • Plus as we get older the less our skin absorbs from sunshine. The darker your skin is can also affect absorption through sunshine. When I was first diagnosed my level was 9. Last time I checked it was at the very low end of normal.
  • I take more Vit d than that a day. But I am always deficient. At one time I was taking prescription for it, 100,000 units twice a week.
  • Love bacon. One of my families favorites. Sausage also. Had brats for dinner last night.
  • Last time I checked they had a coupon on their website.
  • Chicken, some cheeses. Tofu, steak, beans, nuts
  • I have pcos and am insulin resistant. Try to keep my daily carbs down to 50-100g per day, usually on the lower end of that. I avoid low fat and no fat products as they typically add sugar to make them taste better. I have been trying lots of new recipes with a lot of success. I have lost about 19 pounds so far and just…
  • Alice, weight is lost mainly in the kitchen. You don't have to excercise to lose weight. That being said you do have to excercise for your health and to tone your muscles. I started out by getting my eating in order, and gradually increasing my numbers of daily steps. Mainly by taking the long way to the water cooler,…
  • You can friend me if you like. I don't do warm water or lots of salads. My day typically has between 12-1300 or so calories with lots of fats and protein. I have lost almost 19 pounds with another 75 or so to go.
  • Slow cookers (although I don't have one but am looking into them now) also can come in real handy and save time.
  • Every meal I make takes 30 minutes or less and we have some pretty incredible meals. You could also make extra and eat it for more than 1 meal (I had leftover Thai Cashew Chicken for lunch today from lasts nights dinner). I also some times prepare chicken breast ahead of time for salads during the week. It really takes no…
  • I have been way fat since high school, have tried many times to lose it. This time at 57 I am determined. I started at the end of May at almost 244 pounds (that was a couple weeks after I started). I set my goal at 1 pound per week and am currently at 225. I have a long way to go but have found several new dinner recipes…
  • This morning I had a container of Powerful Yogurt, Key Lime flavor and it was delicious. I usually don't eat a large breakfast during the week and do more of a brunch on weekends.
  • I have been looking for yogurt that has a good amount of protein and less sugar and tried after seeing it on this thread Powerful Yogurt. First I tried the Vanilla Bean and it was good although I didn't decide that until half way through the container. I have had a couple of them and would buy them again and could eat them…
  • Today is the leftover Thai Cashew Chicken that I made for dinner last night. It was really good.
  • Romaine, grilled chicken breast, bacon, cucumbers, strawberries and walnuts with chipotle ranch dressing. I also like the Farmhouse turkey bacon ranch salad at Arby's, the Blackened Bleu Chicken salad at Zaxbys, and the Apple Pecan salad at Wendy's, as well as the strawberry poppyseed with chicken at Panera.
  • Low carb is typically 50-150g per day. Keto is 50g or less (although most consider it 20g or less)

  • I could be wrong but I think the OP is concerned with preserving muscle while losing weight.

  • In going through your diary you typically have a couple hundred calories a day left not including excercise calories. I did notice that you use a lot of non fat and lite products. If you are concerned with not meeting your fat macro I would substitute some full fat products for those. One thing to note is that a lot of…

  • I read last night that they reached a settlement with the courts about their business practices. If I remember correctly it was a rather sizable settlement. That being said, if the product doesn't agree with you, why would you continue to use it?

  • Y'all can add me. I weighed myself a couple weeks after starting at 243.8, now am 225, would love to get to 150-160. I don't think I weighed that in high school.
  • Oh and I haven't had a working oven for years. I mainly use a big skillet and a sauce pan. I did finally by a countertop oven but don't really use it that much.
  • Will your insurance cover a dietician (not a nutritionist)? If so I highly recommend it, since you need to learn nutrition and portion sizes. Nutrisystem will give you portion sizes but is expensive and you will not learn proper nutrition. Plus with a history of heart concerns, breastfeeding and having so much to lose a…
