I had GD when I was pregnant with my oldest, may have had it with the youngest (the doctor thinks I didn't and the lab reversed some numbers), almost everyone on my dads side including him and my sister are diabetic. The endo predicted I would be by age 40. I do have pcos and am insulin resistant but am 57 with no diabetes…

High carb/low fat

I could never cut out dairy, cheese, cream you name it. That is one thing that holds me back from Paleo. That being said it is my preference, I try to lower carbs. Whatever works for you and you can sustain.

Lucky Charms is a favorite of mine!

I tend to eat low carb. When I started I looked for a bunch of new recipes. We have found several that have become part of our regular meal plan. My diary is open.

Tonight we are having chicken Dijonaise, this week we have also had cashew chicken, and meatloaf. Caprese chicken is also good, as is Caramelized onion and bacon smothered pork chops/chicken and red curry chicken (had both of those this week also). All of these (except the meatloaf) cook in 30 minutes of less, have a…

My diary is open, I log day and I also periodically post recipes. I do limit carbs though (usually around 50 g per day, every once in awhile I may hit 80 or less then 50). I do not use fat free or even low fat products as most have added sugar. I have lost about 18 pounds with at least another 70 to go.

Homemade Cashew Chicken with rice.

Meat loaf wrapped in bacon, with baked beans.

I would suggest a therapist as support. 130 is bordering on underweight for your height. I would suggest a trainer for toning since it appears your body issues are more related to toning.

I peaked at your menu and although you haven't logged much if that's all you eating you must be hungry. You are doing very low calories. I wouldn't go below 1200 a day. Plus it didn't look like you were getting enough protein.

Mine is always open.

I have pcos and am insulin resistant. Never have been on it.
-
Why are you limiting carbs? I do it because I have pcos and am insulin resistant. I adjusted my macros to what works for me but I still watch my calories first. If what you are doing is working for you I would just keep doing it.

I usually get take out. Steak salad from qdoba, farmhouse turkey salad from Arby's are a couple of my favorites.

I have had pcos for decades, maximum doses of clomid to get pregnant, gestational diabetes when pregnant controlled entirely by diet (they let me try it even though they thought I was going to have to have insulin injections). Pcos is not prediabetes. However many sufferers are insulin resistant. Most everyone in my family…

Made low carb meatballs tonight also. They were yummy. Ate mine with just sauce, oldest is having his with pasta and the youngest had meatball subs.

Oh and last time I picked up their protein powder but have tried it yet and they carry bars similar to Clif Builders bar which I might pick up when I go back.

I recently started shopping there again. Produce (broccoli, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, romaine, onions, peppers) is way cheaper and so is dairy (milk, eggs, heavy cream, half & half). I also but frozen ice cream treats there (1/3 the price of the Goid Humor ones) and chocolate. Spices are much cheaper and so it the…

If you aren't doing it for weight loss and realize that you need to transfer and eat healthier than why would you waste money on 8 weeks of that stuff?
-
I typically eat between 1200-1300 calories per day of regular food. I try to avoid low fat and sugar (but aside from an occasional diet soda don't do sugar free) , don't eat alot of carbs but its all regular food.
-
^^^^ This! How do you know how many calories you are eating if you aren't logging? I do what is considered low carb, but I watch my calories first. You cannot lose weight doing low carb if you are not in a deficit. I do low carb because I have pcos and am insulin resistant, plus post menopausal and low vitamin D.

I don't use fat free dressing because of all the sugar in them. Balsamic vinagrette would be about it. I prefer full fat dressings, current favorite is Chipolte Ranch.

Water, Diet Coke, diet A&W (with heavy cream added if I have the calories), and Sparling Ice Lemonades (found them in an 18 pack at BJs).

Is there a particular reason you chose low carb/high fat? Are you doing low carb or Keto?

It also says to check with your doctor first and that it should be used under medical supervision. I would not proceed without that and I don't think given the possible side effects that I would take it.

Just bought a new Ninja. Was very pleased with the previous one. This one came with a pitcher, food processor, and three cups (one of them stainless steel). Got it on sale at Kohls, used $50 in coupons and Kohls cash to get the price even lower and earned another $20 in Kohls cash. Awesome deal.

I have pcos and a couple other things and am not active at all, although I am trying to change that. I have lost 16 pounds in the last couple months just watching my calories and reducing my carb intake to between 50-100g per day. I have tried a bunch of new recipes so that I don't get bored. I started with macros…
