It's the potassium in bananas that work. So I would imagine other foods high in potassium would be also.

Are you logging and weighing all your food, including bites, oils and condiments? Including all prepared foods?

All of them plus bacon.

I have a friend who went to a couple weight loss clinics, one was vlcd (she was hungry all the time and had no energy) but lost a lot of weight in a couple months. When she gained it back a couple months later she went to another one this time for injections along with a vlcd. She lost a lot of weight and regained it all…

I have pcos (pretty severe and every symptom there is), insulin resistant and habitually low vitamin d. I have never been put on meds to lose weight. The only thing that has ever worked was watching my carb intake and my calories. This time in the first month I have lost a little over 10 pounds. It can be done.

Vitamin D3- I take 3-5000iu a day

I try for between 50-100, I tend to be under 60 total not net.

OP, I agree with kommodevaran about your protein level. On low carb, high fat the protein is moderate and not equal to the fat. Who set those for you?
-
Are you eating enough protein and fats?

I like Optimum Nutrition Chocolate and Vanilla.

I am not Keto low carb, but am low carb. I have mine set to 25c/30p/45f. I usually average about 50-60g of carbs a day, sometimes lower. For proteins, I eat a variety of meat (chicken breast, deli turkey, beef, pork, you about name it) even on salads. I also eat eggs and cheese (hard cheeses are low in carbs but have fat…

Must haves for us would be: Broth (chicken and beef), Chicken breast, beef (ground and steak), turkey (deli), pork chops, bacon, eggs, onions, peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, cottage cheese, hard cheeses, berries, sometimes cantelope, nuts, Kind Bars, heavy cream and butter. I do go to the store…

I have pcos, an insulin resistant and have low vitamin d. I went to a dietician a couple years ago (stopped going once the instance wouldn't pay anymore) and am doing what we discussed then. It is low carb but not Keto low. I would recommend you go see a dietician.

I work full time and then come home and cook for my two sons and I, unless we are grilling then my eldest does the meat. Dinner typically takes less then 30 minutes and definately less than 45 minutes. I have been finding recipes all over the Internet, supplementing what we already had. If I find a good one I add it to my…

When I did shakes I used Optimum Nutrition and it was good. I mixed mine with either almond milk or milk though.

I have pcos and insulin resistant plus habitually lie vitamin d. The only thing that has worked for me is lowering my carbs. My macros are set at 25% carb, 30% protein and 45% fats. I played with my macros until I found a combination that worked for me.

Does your Dr mean carbs or net carbs? 10% is aweful low. Did you see a dietician? If not I recommend that you do. I didn't this time but am following what I did when I did go to one. I am low carb because I have pcos and am insulin resistant. My carbs are 25%, some days are better than others but it averages out. My…

Caprese Chicken

Like ponycyndi, I aim for a percentage due to pcos and insulin resistance. Mine is 25% of my total daily. That is total carbs, not net carbs.

Local Farmers Markets sometimes have local honey.

I have 2 sons (age 22 and 23) who live with me. They are eating meals I prepare for dinner, I do add some additional sides for them and their portions are larger. Tonight we are having Caprese Chicken with a side of Angel Hair pasta. Last night we had Caramelized Onion and Bacon Smothered pork chops with Lima beans. Twice…
