  • I agree! I'm a terrible sleeper anyway but as my hubby will soon be on evening shifts I am trying to start getting to bed a little earlier each night.
  • I tend to just get plenty of vit C, drink loads of fluids and get some rest.
  • I'd love to drive through the Canadian Rockies, it looks amazing. I got to do one of my dream holidays when my husband turned 40. I booked him a surprise trip to Iceland. We spent 5 nights there and saw the Northern Lights, then we went and saw Orca's swimming in the wild. It was wonderful!
  • I am starting to change my breakfast food to include eggs so that I get some protein at breakfast, I am also looking at changing my afternoon snack to either a protein bar or greek yoghurt. Obviously meat and fish are high in protein but including things like yoghurt, cheese, nuts and beans as snacks or incorporating in to…
  • I'm in the same boat as OP. Would love a foot tattoo but worried they will start and I just won't be able to take it and end up with a couple of random lines lol. I've got quite a few other tattoos but just working on the bravery for the feet doing LOL.
  • The only way to lose weight in the long run is to maintain a calorie deficit. Set up MFP to lose 1lb a week and then log every single thing you eat and drink. Make sure you weigh and measure. Try and get some exercise in and eat back approx. 50% of the exercise calories (MFP generally way overestimates calorie burn for…
  • Well I managed to get up early and do a weights / body weight session today!! Alarm set for 4.45am and downstairs warming up by 4.50am :) I think I will need to tweak my routine a little to make sure I don't end up late as I am pretty busy on a morning (getting myself showered and ready... then the kids up and ready....…
  • I like the above idea. Just take baby steps. Something like making sure you log consistently every day, don't worry about cutting calories, just log what you eat. Then switch out something high calorie for lower....and do that for a week. Then add in a short walk each day etc etc. Just keep doing until suddenly you will…
  • That brownie looks awesome! We have a microwave here so I could totally make that! Thanks Hornsby for your reply. Seems to be that I will have to look at other ways to fix my sweet tooth and get a protein hit in the afternoons, hopefully the brownie / greek yoghurt ideas will work out :)
  • Actually I quite like the idea of adding whey to greek yoghurt with toppings! Thanks for throwing that out there :)
  • Than my own husband! He's a great dad, makes me laugh every day and he loves me and supports me in everything I do. So all that, plus he gives the best cuddles, makes him so sexy to me :)
  • Most mornings around 300 - 350 and it's usually porridge. Weekends when I have more time I like to go for a walk and burn off some extra calories then come home and have a bacon and egg sandwich and a cuppa. I look forward to that sandwich soooooo much when I am out walking lol.
  • 1300 generally isn't enough for most people, especially with a high activity rate like yourself. I'd say if you could open your diary people may be able to help more. Also a little more info like current weight, height, goal weight etc would be beneficial. If you quit now I just know that in a years time you will wish you…
  • Leeds lass here :)
  • I'm not working out in the AM at the moment but will be soon. My hubby's shifts are changing meaning I can't go to the gym in an evening or out for a walk / jog once the kids are in bed. I could still work out at home in the evening but means waiting until dinner has settled and I prefer at least 2 hours before working…
  • I'm not really a football fan but between the husband and two boys we always seem to have football on in the house!! Hubby is a life long Manchester City fan, he lived in Manchester up until he met me and moved to Leeds. And even though we live in Leeds our two boys are following in his footsteps and both City fans. I've…
  • I'm a similar weight to you and am not working out as much as you and I am losing weight slowly a 1600 calories a day. As I lose weight I might need to drop that a little but I love food so am going to eat as much as I can while still losing weight, it's a win \ win situation then lol. I eat chocolate most days, but I also…
  • Just like the others have said, unless you have a medical reason then you can lose weight eating carbs and still lose weigh (more than likely) eating more than 1200 calories a day. Set your MFP goal to lose 1lb a week and eat back some of your exercise calories (I aim for around 50% of my exercise calories because for most…
  • Every time he calls you fat.....kick him in the nuts..... that should sort it x
  • I find setting goals like that and challenges to be stressful. I need to take things at my own pace and if that is slow.....then it doesn't matter. In a years time I will definitely weigh less than today :) Try and be as organised as you can with the kids. I find batch cooking and freezing things good because then I have a…
  • Sounds like you got yourself a good plan. I work Mon - Fri so I always do a little extra walking or time at the gym so I can have a treat on a Saturday evening or an extra Yorkshire pudding with Sunday dinner :)
  • I;m 5ft 4 also and weigh around 20lb less than you. I know it's not an exact science but I lose 1.5lb a week on average eating around 1600 calories and about 50% of my exercise calories. Are you logging absolutely everything? Weighing and measuring every thing that you eat? Anyway 1.5 a week is a totally great sustainable…
  • Hi there. Leeds lass here :)
  • I'd say that if you are eating 1480 calories, feel fit and well and not deprived, are hitting your daily goal for protein and you are still losing at a nice steady rate of 1lb a week I think that sounds absolutely perfect.
  • I absolute love this thread!!! Awesome work everyone and THANK YOU for sharing your photos and stories. I have regained a lot of what I lost and was feeling down about it but you have all inspired me to never give up!
  • Hey I have been thinking of starting again. I'm happy to have some buddies! Day one week one will either be tonight or tomorrow. Hubby is at the gym tonight so if I have time once he is back before dinner I will start :)
  • I'm sure it's confidence. If you haven't been happy with your body it's bound to have an impact when it comes time to undress. Good for you :)
  • Awesome work, well done x
  • Well done, you look great! Good luck for the rest of your weight loss journey.
