I've got the fitbit flex so not as fancy as some. But I love it. I've been so lazy this week so definitely planning on making sure I take my weekly total over 70k steps on the weekend so I can pull an average of 10k steps a day. I definitely find it makes me move more.

I would do as the above poster said. Log everything separately, four egg white, maybe tea spoon of oil and then try and guess how many veggies were in it. It won't be exact but probably your best option.

I love both...on guys and girls. Bizarrely I have both and my hubby isn't really in to them but he's happy with mine. He has neither and still super hot to me.

I have the nutribullet and works perfectly for that kind of thing.

I did yes (I was a surrogate for my sister last year). I lost a bit of weight in the first trimester and then gained in second and third. But I only gained around 20lb overall and my niece weighed 8lb 15oz so a lot of that was baby, placenta etc. I stuck to around 1600 calories when I was in the first trimester and upped…

In one month of dieting I have lost 14lb before now. However in another month I have lost 1lb! It all varies so much. A stone in 2 months is achievable for some, it depends on a lot of factors like how much you have to lose in total, your height, current weight, how active you are etc. It's just less than 2lb a week which…

I suffered a lot with acne in my late teens and up to around 28. The best things for me were more natural. The less harsh chemicals the better. For the last 6 years I have used witch hazel morning and night as a cleanser (just pour some on to cotton wool and wipe around face) and then use aloe vera gel with added tea tree…

For me I just stick to my calorie goal, ensure I hit my minimum protein and then fill the rest up with what I like.

Personally, I would get a second opinion. I'd say eat at least your BMR and maybe get some exercise if you can to give you a few calories to play around with. But I am not an expert. Your doctor is an expert but I would still question anyone who recommended 1000 calories a day. Is there any medical reason as to why the…

Yep! I'd been having Weetabix chocolate minis every day for breakfast and guessing what 40g was. When I got my scales I weighed what I thought was right and it was 70g! Soon adds up and eats in to that deficit.

Oh actually that is a lie, as someone above mentioned....airport security in the UK have them and also we were in London a few weeks back and the police that guard Downing Street had them. But I've never been in a situation where I could actually hold one. Here in the UK we do have gun crime but I think most crimes are…

I live in the UK....I've never even seen a gun in real life :)

Just keep getting back on the wagon and don't give up trying. Because TODAY.... may just be that day for you.

Sounds like a good plan! Good luck :)

So you've eaten your days worth of calories and you want to burn off 526 calories of exercise before eating 526 worth of calories? Really it should work out fine. I wouldn't get on the scale tomorrow because like the above poster says..... sodium and water retention! Plus it will still be food weight digesting in your…

Absolutely fantastic! Well done :)

You don't have to over drink, just enough to stay hydrated. Try taking smaller more frequent drinks throughout the day.

This is something I heard which is kind of cheesy but it struck a cord with me. Losing weight is hard......being overweight is hard.....choose which hard you want. Personally I don't like being overweight with how it limits me and the increased risks for my health...so even though losing weight can be a struggle for me, I…

If you stick to your calorie limits you should be fine hun. Although personally for me, those kind of shifts would leave me wiped out and when I am tired I tend to use food to keep my energy up, which of course makes it hard for me to stick to a calorie limit. But when you eat isn't important for weight loss, just limit…

So take this with a pinch of salt (as I read it online lol) but apparently estrogen can be stored in excess fat cells. So if you are losing that fat it can release this stored estrogen and can mess up your periods a little. I don't know how true that is though so it's always worth a quick trip to the doctors to check for…

I think as long as you are sticking to your calorie goals in any 24 hours (or even across the week works for some) then you should be fine. You can change the meal names in your diary so maybe having it set out as 2pm - 5pm, 5pm - 9pm etc instead of breakfast lunch etc might help you plan your meals around your shifts?
-
I do 3 days weights / body weight work out, 2 days swimming but also have a daily step goal and try to get out to walk on my lunch break ever day.
-
Nope, not for me. The ones prescribed tend to be pretty hardcore and lots of side effects and the "natural" ones are not really regulated so can contain all kinds of things.
-
How many calories are you eating and how many calories from exercise are you eating back?
-
Well done you! Maybe, although you felt ok on 1200 calories, once you bumped the cals up you had more energy so even though eating more you were generally more active? Anyway, congratulations on your loss :)
-
Are you able to put off your lunch an hour or so? If you could stretch lunch until around 2.30 then maybe you can get up to 8pm without picking. Make sure you have some proteins and fats as they keep you feeling fuller for longer. Are you allowed any snacks in work? If you could have a few minutes to grab something that…
