  • I just read a forum that explained it this way.. the body doesn't know if you are burning calories through exercise or just being alive. Because we burn calories at rest, we have a negative net intake everyday already. Say I burn 2200 calories a day at rest for this example.. I eat 1200 calories and don't exercise. MFP…
  • Ahhh im a guy! Anyways.. me and my gf just bought healthy choice fudge bars today. They are actually really good. If you like ice cream then try those :)
  • Lol great responses. And I read it on livestrong.com
  • Also, when I set my goal to "maintain weight", my daily calorie goal jumps up to like 2300. So my "off/cheat" weekends actually turn into maintenance days. And like the person above said, sometimes I even lose some weight during the weekend because it shocks my body or something.
  • I take every saturday and sunday off. I still monitor what I eat to make sure its not garbage. I just eat more. I have my daily goal set to 1400/day but on the weekends I hit 2000 and sometimes more depending on my plans. I've lost 38 lbs (havent logged my new weight yet) since february and I have had times where I didn't…
  • Don't drink it. I read on several sites that diet soda actually causes weight gain in most people
  • Yeah its totally inaccurate because my brother is a gym rat. He's in there ever single day for 2 hours (minimum) working a different set of muscles everyday and his BMI says he's overweight. I wouldn't worry about that. You are at a healthy weight when you look in the mirror and realize you love the way you look, not when…

  • Yeah I agree with everyone else. That extremely unhealthy and you will gain that weight back in the end. You don't get nearly enough proper nutrition like that. 1200 calories/day is the minimum to avoid starvation. Try eating that instead and up your exercise if you have the time. Or change your routine. If you do the same…
  • ^^ everyone I have asked says they are great and I've seen some before and after pictures of people who were on kettlebell regimens. And like someone commented earlier, I've read that you can burn 1000 calories per hour if you know what you're doing. The exercises are also very versatile; its cardio and strength combined…
  • I recently bagan weighing everyday because im so close to my original goal weight so im just being impatient. I only record every monday. I haven't weighed in at all this past week. And I weight myself first thing saturday morning to see if my recorded weight on monday is higher because of the weekend food
  • And honestly don't listen to these people that are saying you will gain the weight back when you stop taking it. I have lost 15 lbs since I stoped taking mine almost 2 months ago. Yes, you can certainly do this without pills, but you can also try them. Just don't be stupid about them. As I said already, research the…
  • I took my first diet pill a little while ago and I plan on using it again. It was called D4 Thermal Shock. You take 1 pill, twice a day. You can take 2 pills, twice a day, but no more than 4 in 24 hours. I lost 11 lbs in the month that I used it. I was eating an average of about 1650 calories and I ran elliptical for 20-30…
  • You would hate me right now. I just had pizza :)
  • I don't know which machines to use, but I read that you can't really target fat. The body burns fat from wherever it wants and, unfortunately, the stomach is usually the last to go.
  • Get some progresso low sodium tomato parmesan soup. It has 1780 mg of potassium and only 200 calories per can.

  • I've read that you burn more calories when its cold because your body uses more energy to maintain your body temperature. Not sure if that's what you're looking for, though. Just because you sweat more doesn't mean you're burning more calories. Some people aren't sweaters. I know people who run for 30 minutes and barely…
  • Im having trouble with it too. The situps wont do anything, though. It will build your abdominal muscles, but the layer of fat over top will still be there. I have read a million times that a mix of cardio and strength training will get it off. They say to work your abs and obliques at the end of your workout because they…
  • @indyfferent the topic title was a joke. You know, to attract people to the post. Good try being big and tough. If you're gonna be an *kitten* then get off the site. You are supposed to help people, not be critical of the things they post. Go **** yourself
  • My brother is a gym rat, he's in some insane shape. I suppose I could ask him. Its just hard for us to see eye to eye because im trying to get thin and burn my fat while he's trying to get big and cut. I will be in his shoes one day, but I can't do that until the fat is gone. He advised me as if we were doing the same…
  • Im hoping patience and time is the key to the formula because I've been doing just that (cardio and some core/strength) and I still have a ways to go with this ab fat.. frustrating..
  • You say go for it? Great before and after btw. Incredible.
  • I second the question! Its all I have left to do and its pissing me off..
  • Hey dude I actually had a gynocamastia the summer after my freshman year of high school and the results were awesome. I had it because I developed a bad hip disease and was unable to walk for a long time when I was little, therefore creating more estrogen in my body and producing breast tissue. Its changed my appearance…
  • Try livestrong.com im sure they will have some nutrition facts
  • Ahh see I was apprehensive because I have herniated disks in my lower back and something called perthes disease in my hip. Not sure I should even try this. Maybe I should ask my doctor or therapist first. At any rate, thank you everyone. Im confident that they will help me as long as I do it right and be patient. The good…
  • Your diary didn't show your sodium levels, but try to keep that low. Sodium makes you retain water so you could seem bigger than you actually are. The carbs shouldn't be too low. Low carb diets only work if you stay on them forever. If you use a low carb system, you will probably gain the weight back when you change that.…
  • I got the nutrition facts from livestrong.com - I feel as though that's a reliable source. They have a similar thing on their website with tracking food and all that. I think MFP is easier though. And yes, livestrong.com is the Lance Armstrong wristband thing website. Its a health amd fitness website. That's why I think…
  • If you like peanut butter and jelly, try changing to almond butter and marshmallow fluff. The sodium/sugar changes are amazing. Try finding some fresh, boneless, skinless, perdue chicken breasts. They have almost no sodium, just under 100 mg per breast. The only problem I have with them is the fat, but you can work with…
  • I have the same problem. I confide in my mom and my thin gf for support. They are amazing and they support me every way they know how. However, they both say im fine the way I am. They said that when I started this all, 30 lbs ago. It is what it is. The people that love you, love you for a reason. Appearance, weight in…
  • Definitely don't feel defeated. I think the first few weeks are the hardest. It takes time to mentally make such drastic changes.
