I like to make large amounts of my own trail mix with popcorn, cereal, nuts, fruit, etc. I usually only pack snacks because I've noticed that a lot of road side stops now sell packaged fresh fruit, salad, and stuff like turkey cheese sandwiches and/or wraps.

I've also found that RunKeeper overestimates burns. I started using Runtastic, and I find that the burns are about the same as those of MPF for me, but then again, MPF also has a record for overestimating (still lower than RunKeeper though). Runtastic doesn't have interval training though.

Hiit gets me more worked up than steady cardio does, and quicker too. I feel like my endurance improved more thanks to hiit because my hiit workouts are longer than my steady cardio ones - I think it's because that little rest/ easy interval is pure heaven and that keeps me going. Definitely try it out to see if it's for…

A really inexpensive fried rice is with veggies (I used onions, carrots, and A LOT of spinach), scrambled eggs, and ketchup. It reheats well too. I also enjoy baking tofu cubes/sticks ahead of time to snack on later on, or put on a bed of greens/ rice with sauce.

I love quick fried rice: cook carrots, onions, and greens, scramble an egg, and cook some diced chicken in one pan. Add rice and ketchup or soy sauce and season it to your liking. Then it's done!
