  • Just a comment about the exercise thing - it says not to start exercising while you're on hCG, but if you already are exercising it's okay (& recommended) to continue. Basically, the foods you cut out are processed foods, starches and refined sugars, the cutting out of which would probably not hurt a soul in the world. I…
  • There are lots of us doing this. I've never had any problems with it - dropped quite a bit of weight quickly, and for the most part kept it off. What little I gained back was from poor choices in eating (i.e. soda instead of water for almost a week straight, overloading on carbs because it was convenient, etc), and when I…
  • I occasionally grab a sushi roll as my 'breakfast' (at around 5:30-6 p.m.) when I'm working nights, and that holds me until around 10 or so, which is a good 'mid-morning' snack time. I don't think I've ever had sushi as a meal otherwise, though. DH & I usually split a roll or two as an appetizer when we go to the hibachi…
  • ooohhh! good question! Although DH did say he'd put a pole right in the middle of the freaking living room if I wanted to do that!
  • I agree - dressing room lighting & mirrors were designed by a sadistic SOB. There's no other explanation!! Also, remember the pictures we see in magazines, etc, are airbrushed to be perfect! Find a tankini you like (I found one with a skirt that I adore), be proud of what you've done so far. Realize that it was just one…
  • I've got a t-shirt I've had for years (since the late '90s) that has that saying on it - courtesy of the United States Marine Corps. Not sure where it originated, but that's the first place I saw it.
  • It's also nice when they flirt with you at the stop light/sign, too...knowing they can't see anything except hair hanging out below the helmet!
  • I have the New Balance ones, and I love them. I can most definitely feel the pull in my calves and the back of my thighs when I use them on the treadmill. Also, they look just like regular sneakers. I wear them almost everywhere, even though I know you're only supposed to wear them for exercise. At work, I sit most of the…
  • I don't want to be the fat chick on my bike. I was told that 6 lbs = 1 horsepower on the motorcycle...cheaper and healthier to lose weight than to swap out the engine! I want to be hot enough to drive my car. I want to look good enough to walk around with my husband. I can just hear people wondering why that good-looking…
  • Hang in there... we all have stressful times. Tomorrow is a new day - don't beat yourself up over this! And, hugs, if they're appropriate =D
  • That sounds really neat. Excellent tribute to a dear friend. O/T - is that your scooter in your ticker??
  • No way. That puts 5'8" at 140lbs. Way too small, in my opinion...and not what the BMI calc on here says, either. I know it's only a tool, and not medical advice, but even that says at 5'8" I should be between 141 & 165lbs. Thanks for the info, though!
  • There are lots of us!! Try this topic, too. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/161214-hcg-progress-updates-page-2-for-people-on-it-or-thinking-a?page=18#posts-2341389 I'm on day 7 of the protocol, lost 8 lbs so far. Welcome to our group! Feel free to friend me, as well...
  • I'm glad to see all the positive responses as well. It's nice to find a place where people don't bash you for doing something a bit different. A really good friend from work got me started. She's done a few rounds (not sure exactly how many), lost - and more importantly, kept off - a decent amount of weight. Actually saw…
