I'm drinking Tim Hortons coffee out of a Starbucks cup right now :naughty: I found Tim Hortons k-cups at my local grocery store this weekend and was faaaaar more excited than I probably should have been. I moved down to the United States from Canada 5 years ago and haven't had Tim Hortons coffee in a very long time, so to…

Bravo! Congratulations! I'm so glad you went!

:kissing_heart: I like hip thrusts, especially while making eye contact and grunting loudly. But I gotta give my vote to deadlifts. They make me feel big and strong.

Mondetta Performance Gear (MPG) stuff from TJ Maxx. Their stuff is redonkulously expensive if you buy it online, but from TJ's it runs in the $15-30 range and is durable/comfortable/stylish.

Do you already have a strength training program you plan to follow?
-
Don't worry! You're not alone, it can be very intimidating! Is there a trainer you can book for one session to "show you the ropes"? Can you start with dumbbells instead of the bar? Otherwise, just take a deep breath and go for it! 99 times out of a hundred the guys in that area doing their thing aren't going to think…

Craiglist is definitely where it's at for home gym stuff! The biggest of high fives for your accomplishments! For flooring, check out horse stall mats! Very, very durable, and generally cheaper than gym mats. :innocent:

You call yourself helpful, I call you a *kitten*.

Deep dish or Sicilian?

Grapeseed oil does great at high temps too. Stay away from olive oil. +1 on the pizza stone, makes all the difference.

yesssssss except I'm so not hungry by the end of the day I think I might vomit if I try to cram it in there. maybe I should keep it at work and have it at lunch/mid-afternoon instead? time of day really doesn't matter, right? and who in their right mind is going to steal my gelato from the work freezer?

Late to the show, but I wanted to say that the vast majority of the people mentioned here have either directly or indirectly influenced my eating or lifting habits and I owe a great deal to them. Not sucking up, I swear, but thank you all for your seemingly infinite patience.

Not even a toss-up (ha! see what I did there?!): Sicillian.

REALLY glad FPH got shut down for the harassment thing. The stuff that was happening in that subreddit was disturbing on sooooooo many levels. ETA: I just posted on an MFP friend's wall about Reddit censoring people, but I was talking about the censoring that they're now doing in other subreddits unrelated to what happened…

Bacon? That's definitely not relevant... but that sparkly stuff? That's definitely sugar.
-
I think that's a really good point. I've been focused on getting my protein in, and it's hindering my efforts to get any kind of calories in at all. I think eating smaller portions more frequently is going to be better, because I've been trying to eat my "regular meals" and failing miserably. I think I've been terrible at…

If you're staying well within your calories, then there should be no problem with eating the amount of sugar you're eating. Unless you perceive there to be a problem with amount of sugar you're eating, then you should stop eating the amount of sugar you're eating by eating less sugar. This convoluted, unhelpful post…

I'm so glad you like it! And so very, very jealous that you found it!

There's a really great app called Libra (it's free) that averages out your weight so you can still see the downward trend! It's a great way to keep your sanity!

Blah, sorry, should've been clearer in my original post: I'm on topamax for seizures, and I can't really switch because a) I just titrated up to this dose and the prospect of switching over to a new medication again is just the worst, and b) there's not really any other medications I can switch to. I've been on lamictal…

My whole firm is doing a 5k at the end of the month and I HATE CARDIO. But I might do it for the "team building opportunity". I'm weighing my options here. Pros: team building exercise, opportunity to whup co-workers' butts at running. Cons: I HATE CARDIO, $65 sign up fee, I HATE CARDIO. Also, I'm Erin. I don't like my…

I just signed up for their emails because I am awwwwwful at working full time and being a mom and working out and keeping a tidy house. There, I said it.

I agree 100% with this, but for one itty bitty factor: I caught a guy I was dating having an online relationship on the side. I freaked out and he swore he'd never do it again. He thereafter put passwords on ALL of his electronic devices. I then dumped him promptly. If he hadn't put passwords on all of his devices/acted…

Gaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. That is all.

The crop top, I just walked around looking like a lady of the night. Just kidding, I borrowed an ill fitting North Face sweat shirt from a co-worker and told my boss what her other option was. I wasn't about to go out and buy a new shirt while I was still mourning the loss of my sweater!

Maaaaaybe start with a few spoonfuls of it at first to see how it goes? Like those people eating entire packages of those sugar free gummy bears?

You can swing by and get my laundry any time! (eta: that sounds vaguely sexual and I promise you it's not! I apologize!) I specifically only buy clothes that can be washed and dried. Nothing that needs any sort of special care. Last time I bought a sweater that needed to be hung to dry, my husband accidentally shrunk it in…
-
I would hire someone to do my laundry. I hate doing laundry. I FULLY REALIZE it just involves sticking a bunch of clothes into a stupid machine, and then sticking them into another stupid machine. Doesn't matter. Still hate doing laundry.

I cry every. damned. time. It doesn't matter how many times I see it. Every. time. My son just likes the scenes with the balloons. ETA: Just at the beginning, to be clear. I only cry at the beginning. And maybe at the end, a little bit.

APPARENTLY the closest place to me that sells it is over 6 miles from my work, and ain't nobody got time to go all the way there. So I will be filling out the "pretty please start carrying this" form and bringing it to a) the Whole Foods closest to my work, and b) the Whole Foods closest to my home, because neither carry…
