Amazing! What an accomplishment. I know 3 or 4 people from here in Florida that were there and got their first 100 mile buckles too. Congrats again!

Fat secret? Nothing hardcore. Half a jar of peanut butter with a spoon at 3 AM maybe? Now if you want drunk secrets...pull up a chair.

I live in Safety Harbor. I can be found regularly on the Pinellas, Ream Wilson or Courtney Campbell trails pushing my boys in their double stroller or on the weekends running. During the week I run around the neighborhoods near me.

cold quinoa is great as "cereal". i eat it in the morning with fresh blueberries and/or bananas with almond or coconut milk.

I recently transitioned to a plant-based diet and have never felt better. It definitely helps me recover faster from workouts. Looking for friends and always interested in recipes for both meals and smoothies.

I am a vegetarian who is slowly transitioning towards veganism. I try to eat as clean as possible and have noticed a dramatic change in my health because of it. Looking for friends who are all of the above for both support and also so I can look at your diaries and get food ideas!

I completed my first 5K in over 20 years back in December and have a 5K coming up in late March and an 8K in May. After that I will be training for a fall half-marathon. Would love to connect with other runners on MFP as well.

There is no greater responsibility or privilege than to care for and nurture children. I am lucky enough to be able to do it every day. I truly feel grateful and blessed to spend so much time with my kids. It is certainly the hardest "job" I ever had, but nothing, NOTHING is more rewarding. My wife is glad that I am…

I'm going to research it more and try it with coconut oil as some suggested. I thought it was delicious (and probably better with grass-fed butter) and will keep drinking it even if it has no weight loss or energy benefits.

Unsalted. I guess it was started by this guy. http://www.bulletproofexec.com/how-to-make-your-coffee-bulletproof-and-your-morning-too/

Very inspiring. Congrats on the goals reached in 2013.

Vic you work really hard and you can see the results. I have no doubt that you will reach your goal. You help inspire me. Keep it up man!!!

I run primarily at night. A lot of it has to do with my schedule but I definitely like the anonymity of running in darkness. So I totally get where you are coming from. Having said that, I think that I have an over-inflated view of myself. I think that when I am in public that I am like an actor on a big stage and the…

*Shrugs* I'm not a marriage counselor, psychiatrist, or member of the clergy. I have my own family and marriage to worry about. I think it is very strange to ask for marriage advice from strangers on a public message board dedicated to diet and fitness. Issues like these are always complicated and if I were your husband or…

This. Candy corn is disgusting.

I try and make good choices and select things that I know I'll be able to find in database. Fresh veggies, fruit, crackers, cheese etc. I try and avoid dishes with multiple ingredients as I have no idea what is in them or how they were prepared. If I do eat something like that though I just try and find the highest calorie…

Yeah this is what I do. I have 4 or 5 smoothies that I make regularly that I have saved in my recipes. It is a little burdensome the first time you make it weighing everything and then finding it in database, but after that it's easy.

I just started running again and am doing a 5K in November and a 10K in Jan, with my sigths on a marathon late next year. I am on Nike+ as well. I am always looking for MFP runner friends to add.

Congrats on your weight loss and the half-marathons! I am hoping to be where you are in the coming months! Thanks for the inspiration.

That's awesome! Congrats!

Are there any stipulations on what can be counted as a calorie burn? Obviously cardio workouts, strength training, etc. would count, but I know some folks count stuff like house cleaning or washing the car. I have no opinion either way, just wanted to know as I don't normally count that kind of stuff.

I see my buddies RyanDryFly and helena_jj are on Team USA and my other buddies Apernet, VictoriousLion and StarChasers are on Team UK...so count me in. For Team USA of course!!!

I live in Clearwater. Welcome to the area. Feel free to friend me.

Feel free to add me. I learned a long time ago that I don't have all the answers.

I just started making green smoothies myself. I wanted to try and eat more green veggies, but I really don't like much other than salads. I made one today that was pretty good, but that may need some tweaking: 1/2 cup of dry oatmeal (put it in first and blend into a powder so your smoothie isn't clumpy) 2 cups of spinach 2…

I quit smoking 17 days ago a few days after joining MFP. I knew it would be hard to quit AND start eating better, but I wanted to make a total commitment toward a healthy lifestyle. Drinking tons of water, exercising, and healthy snacks are all things that helped me get through the cravings and now they only crop up…

Wow! So awesome and inspiring. Congrats on all the goals you have accomplished and good luck in your marathon training!

I have been smoke free for 10 days now after smoking for 23 years. I have been chewing nicotine gum as a quit aid and the worst of my cravings seem to be behind me. I decided to quit about a week after I joined MFP because I was afraid of gaining weight like others. I didn't want to do it later on after I had lost a bunch…

Haha. Yeah. They got it at a "garage sale".
