  • I sorry but your diet really, really scares me as it sounds like you plan to use it for some time. Check this link out. It is a 1200 calorie diet designed to lose weight. It has a daily menu plan for 7 days. Take a look and see what you think. It will at least give you an idea of what you should be eating.…
  • When you filled out your profile (with your height and starting weight), MFP would have asked you how much you want to lose a week. Based on your answer, it would have suggested how many calories you should consume. Then as you record your food intake in the diary, MFP would have calculated how many calories you had…
  • 18 pounds in one month from counting calories and very little else. I keep it at 1350 to 1500 calories per day. If I don't count I hate to think how many I would eat!! Best of all it allows me to have variety in my diet and for me that is much more satisfying than trying to stick with than other plans I've used.
  • One other thing - a container that keeps romaine fresh until I use it up. Best I've found is by Progressive. (Prepworks by Progressive Lettuce Keeper - 4.7 Quart) - I've had fresh romaine in it and then left for ten days and when I came back the romaine was just as fresh as when I left. Just don't put it in the dishwasher…
  • A variety of good sharp knives and a good skillet. I have a new favorite skillet which is great for a single person. A ceramic 8 in by Silver Stone. Got it on Amazon. Really no stick. I use no Pam and just brush it lightly with oil before I use.…
  • Thanks for sharing. These look very useful. I have a breakfast sausage recipe from the Davita.com website that I have tinkered with but haven't looked for an italian sausage recipe yet.
  • Since my google link worked, I've created a separate folder to store my recipes that I've entered into MFP. Feel free to use and check periodically as I will be adding recipes I've tried and liked. FYI - I aim for reduced sodium, sugar, and fat where possible. :)…
  • I tried that and it didn't work. Also tried attaching with the little icon - that didn't work either. So I've submitted a bug report for the attachment icon. It should work as it does in other sections of the site.
  • Did the google drive link work? If so I have some more recipes to post.
  • The link above leads to the taco seasoning, zesty spaghette sauce and chili seasoning mixes.
  • I tried cut and paste from snip --- didn't work. Tried attaching a file using the icon above -- didn't work. So I've saved them as a google doc on my google drive. You may have to take this link and copy it into your browser. I've submitted a question to support. google link:…
  • I'll try to figure it out or see if I can email them.
  • I have a miniature rat terrier and she need a 6 year old boy to play with. I can't wear her out; she wears me out.

  • I add 2 Tbsp of chopped pecans and one tsp of a faux Pampered Chef Cinnimon Plus receipe I made using Splenda. I do the Quick Oats (1/3 c) in the microwave and then add these toppings. Delicious and filling - comes out to about 130 calories.
  • I bet you were on top of the world. Great job! The hard works pays off.

  • Learning how to once again listen to body cues is difficult and I appreciate your dilemma. From a personal experience, I find I'm much more satisfied if I eat very close to my calorie goal - up or down. I've also found that my body needs at least 1200 to 1300 calories to keep out of what I call the survival mode -- my body…
  • An old food but for me a new purchasing experience. I got tired of having ugly hard-boiled eggs. No matter how I did them, 18 times out of 20 they wouldn't peel easily. So I bought some at the grocery store already cooked and peeled. Best idea I've had in a long time. Beware they have a rather short shelf life.
  • I eat between 1350 and 1500 calories a day which includes two or three planned snacks. My diary is open so feel free to take a look. I've also entered some of my own recipes as I am really watching sodium intake. So I make the modifications, create the recipe, and add it to "My Food" which makes it easier to add to the…
  • I need to print this out and post it where I can see it every day. You have worked hard and the transformation is unbelievable! Thanks for sharing.
  • A single poached egg on a toasted english muffin; scrambled (use a smaller skillet); hard boiled; french toast. Lots of ways. Eggs are no longer are enemy - as posted earlier - they are a big bang for the buck. I always have a hard boiled egg as a mid-morning snack.
  • anyway I can get it! Straight out of the jar past the bread and into my mouth!
  • Smile sweetly and say "Thank you - I feel younger too."
  • Dear wrubsie - The important thing is you are back at it! I'm a firm believer in living in the present. I've often wondered why I could quit smoking cold turkey but I can't eat according to plan consistently! It is more than willpower. I think it is a combination of circumstances and personal mindfulness that will make…
