  • I'm 5'4 and cutting cutting. My goal weight is around 140 which is on the high end for my hight however since I lift heavy I've got more lean muscle so will be heavier. I'm currently cutting on 2200 calories per day and im losing. I'm assuming ill be maintaining around 2500 with the exercise I do.
  • Thanks ladies for the ideas. I went with making a Thai Tom Yum soup with them as I didn't have the stuff in for gumbo
  • I'm the same height and weight as you pretty much. I'm on 40% carbs and 30% each of proteins and fats. I'm loving eating the amount of carbs im having as I do pretty intense gym workouts with weights and bootcamp classes. I think your calories are pretty low unless you aren't going to exercise. I'm on 2200 calories per day…

  • Nope not told me that MrM27 and if he did I'd tell him where to go. I love my PB before bedtime so that wont happen. Love sardines but can imagine the exercise burps in the morning :)
  • I have IBS so sometimes im not regular. Have you tried senna as that should make you go and get you back into the flow so to speak. Sometimes stress can cause it and then worrying about it makes it worse. Exercising can help to get things going. I know people swear by coffee but I hate the stuff. Just see if you can give…
  • No but my trainer has recommended for my body type to eat fat and protein in the morning. To be far I did it today and I had more energy and didn't feel tired which I normally do.
  • I love steak but as I exercise at 6am during the week eating that at 5 would be hard work. I had eggs and bacon yesterday morning before the gym and while the eggs were fine the bacon wasn't so good.
  • I eat around 2200 on a cut at 192lbs. I exercise 5-6 days doing heavy lifting and cardio for around 90 mins a day. I don't think you are over eating. It may be that your body prefers to carry that little extra weight. I think if you are happy with the amount you exercise then I wouldn't bother with worrying about the…
  • I love frittata's. Think I'm going to spend the day batch cooking up things that I can then just take out of the fridge/freezer and eat on the way to work. Umm steak - Love the stuff. Just waiting on my musclefood order to deliver some so I can pig out on it :)
  • I do like eggs just not first thing in the morning as i exercise at 6am during the week. I have tofu in so could try that anyways. Thank you for the help
  • Thanks for all the advice everyone. I've stocked up on bacon etc and will be starting on this tomorrow hopefully when this stupid cold goes away
  • I have loads of protein powder so was thinking of swapping that as my post exercise meal and having it before the gym with some kind of fat added to it. My freezer is stocked up with 10kg of chicken but as I said before I don't like it cold. Thinking the rolls ups are a good idea. least bacon and sausages can be eaten on…
  • guess bacon will be added to my shopping list as well then. Any other ideas?
  • Umm ive not had cottage cheese for ages but cant remember if I grew to like it or not. Guess I'll be adding it to my shopping list tomorrow
  • Cindy - have you tried eating something small before you work out? I struggle if I don't eat before the gym as I get really bad nausea which affects my workout. \I eat afterwards as well but as I go to the gym at 6:30 before work there is only a certain amount I can eat on my drive to work which is when I drink my protein…
  • I've eaten steak and eggs before for breakfast but only on my rest days simply due to time and the fact eggs can repeat on me. I'm liking the yogurt idea actually as its easy to do every morning
  • I like nuts but they only sustain me for about an hour and that's when I've eaten before hand. I'm sure if I have them with something else they would work
  • Yogurt and PB - Yum. Something I haven't had in a while. I'm not a fan of chicken cold to be honest but defo love avocado. Thanks for the ideas everyone
  • Didn't think of meat for breakfast actually. My trainer has suggested having a high protein and fat breakfast before the gym. I'm a fan of fry-up but eating too much before my workout isn't good. I'll defo try the roll ups
  • f/28/188lbs BP: 105lbs DL: 176lbs Back Squat: 220lbs Been liftin heavy last few months. Had knee and back injuries which have halted progress but still working on it. Really wanna work on my dl going forward
  • If you are new to weight lifting then you will build muscle even at a calorie defiict. It's only for people you have been lifting for a while that find it harder to build mucle while cutting calories. It is possible to lose fat and build mucle. In three months of working out with a PT and doing body pump 3 days a week and…
  • I'm in if there are still spaces
  • Any idea what the macros are roughly likely to be for these?
  • I cook for one and while sometimes i dont feel like cooking most of the time it's not too bad. I do tend to batch cook food and freeze in it portions a fair bit as otherwise I find I wont eat as well as I should do. Just have a day a week where you cook up extra portions and freeze them. Its so easy to take it out in the…
  • Just made this bread and its baking in the oven as we speak. It smells so amazing. I've made a few changes such as soya milk (I dont drink cows milk) and used chocolate protein powder but apart from that used everything the same. Lookin forward to it coming out of the oven.
  • It's hard to take a rest day as everything in your brain tells you to carry on working out. I'm exactly the same but I know that my body needs to the rest esp as I lift heavy so my muscles are breaking down. It may make it easier to set aside one day every week to rest (sunday is my day) and then work your schedule around…
  • I exercise every day and have to eat beforehand otherwise i feel really sick. During the week im up at 5:30 and at the gym by 6:30. I normally have a smoothie or a small bowl of cereal before the gym then a protein shake afterwards. I know the difference in my energy levels if i dont eat
