I am going to continue to work on daily logging, and am adding 10 minutes of guided meditation when I arrive at work and before I leave work to help with stress management. Positive thoughts for everyone on achieving their goals this week!

Goal was to log daily which I did in my notebook but not on here; so that is going to be my goal next week to log in both notebook and MFP. I had an okay week. I consistently got over 10,000 steps a day in and this weekend I was able to navigate steps with a normal gait with only minor discomfort in my knee so it seems to…

So sorry you had to watch/chat alone. I had to teach a class this evening so will watch this weekend. Your comments have me curious about what the twist is. I agree I haven't really been drawn to one specific contestant more than the others. Gonna do a push up challenge with my students tomorrow between each class. One…

Everyone is doing so well! It was 22 degrees when I got home tonight. I used to go out walking no matter what the weather but I just can't bring myself to do it. Doing my meditation before I prepare for a 14 hour day tomorrow. It's going to be tough to make time for my walk...maybe I will join my students in physical ed!

I can't ever pick a favorite contestant cause I would like to see them all win. I didn't think about the benefit to being the only one on a team. Wonder what will happen this week.

@unknown_sister: congrats on the walk! Since we got ice, snow and cold windy weather yesterday and today, no walking outdoors for me. :\ instead I am making sure I get 30 minutes in between walking the halls at work and the treadmill. My goal this week is to log daily. Welcome to the new posters too!

Hi everyone and thank you for starting this thread again! I had a less than stellar October myself so I appreciate the nudge to refocus my efforts. I have been coping with shingles and a torn ligament in my knee the last 3 weeks. I commit to logging daily (I like the idea of logging everything in am and then editing it as…

Forgot to mention that a benefit to watching online is I can stop at commercial breaks and take as much time as I want to complete the challenges! Got a good workout in inbetween viewing.

I didn't enjoy the show as much as I have the others. I guess it just seems like they try to cover everything too quickly and there isn't a lot of depth to what the contestants are going through.

Hey team, sorry I haven't been as active in this group. I have shingles, the classic around the waist from belly button to spine and it has made it very hard to do much exercising and since the pain and itching interfere with my sleep, I am super crabby and not really motivated to logon etc. Just started watching this…

What great progress! And welcome!

Watching the show live and chatting is so much more interesting by the way.

Watched the show finally just in parts as not able to sit still for long. I was getting lots of walking in due to getting shingles but today I injured my knee so going to get creative about exercise. I have found an appreciation for how the contestants exercise despite injuries. But I have lost 5 lbs in the last week per…

Dropped using snooze button. You can get a lot done with an extra 45 minutes in the morning.

Absolutely a victory!

Sorry group for not getting weight reported in and missing the show chat. I developed shingles and haven't been doing much more than I have to. Will try to watch the show and do some type of exercise.
-
By the way, been meeting my goals every day this time!
-
I find them helpful as well. I always read them even if I don't find the time to post or I don't have anything to post.
-
He doesn't seem as approachable as the others. I'm not sure about the trust between him and his team members.
-
anyone know why they take their tshirts off? they can't weigh much or is it to show the physical changes???
-
ooooh I like that insight "the pain of being here (working out and eating healthy) is less painful than being home (living old unhealthy lifestyle). That's motivation.
-
kitchen and bathroom done already....living room next commercial break and I'm going to do some of my Jillian Micheals curves workout moves. What is different about Bob's Comeback Canyon vs. the ranch? Besides Bob of course.

no jogging for me while scrubbing the floors lol
-
I've caught myself about to do the same; it is funny, isn't it? I wrote our name on a post it so I wouldn't forget.
-
What one thing can you do to help you achieve your goal? I have put my list of reasons on post it's inside my kitchen cupboards after clearing out anything unhealthy that has snuck back in, on the fridge and the computer (I wrote "have I done 30DS yet? on that one).

Like willtry08, I am not much for social media. I do read several blogs on MFP and I follow discussions on Web'S for Dr. Pamela Peake, who wrote book that helped me lose 113 lbs. I logged into Facebook for this first time in months and checked out some of the people mentioned but it just isn't my thing. The groups here on…

Going to spend a healthy Saturday...started with meditation, oatmeal and egg white omelet for breakfast, then a day spent with my sister's very active kids exploring at a fall festival and this evening I'm joining a new meetup group in Rochester for an Oktoberfest get together. In between I have to get a workout in. Enjoin…

Congrats Allie, OneGoodBean and Ceria! Those successes are so good to read about. I can really empathize with you Allie with the struggle to break through a plateau. Yay you did it! I would have to say I'm just hanging in there even though I've lost some. I have struggled with cravings, long stressful work days and low…

Sorry it took so long to reply. So you had a in your face aha moment and a slower wake up wake up moment. I hope you are successful at losing and avoiding/putting off knee replacement. I do know several people who had it done in their 50s and 60s and it made a tremendous difference in their lives. I took time to read…

It's so cool that you are able to share your successes! I am maintaining which is okay. Goals this week are: (1) Curves 3 times; (2) 10,000 steps a day; and (3) get up 45 minutes earlier so I can get some meditation and yoga-based stretching in before work to help manage my stressful days with student with emotional…
