Keeping track of your steps is a great motivator! Hope you get your fitbit. I have been indulging in afternoon naps as summer school is just 8-12. I totally think the Spanish siesta is a great idea...

I prefer working out barefoot too; I know the experts say you need the support of shoes but it just seems better without. I made it to Curves today! I set a goal to get there twice this week so halfway there!

There are some really good books on overcoming food addiction that guide you through the self reflection of figuring out our relationship with food if you haven't looked at them. I had a great breakthrough with The Hunger Fix. I know each person's struggle is different so keep trying til you find what works for you. This…

HLaR79, keep at it...you're so close! BevKidd, plateaus are so frustrating! My journals are the best resource to help me figure out if it's "mind, muscle or mouth" that's getting in the way. Not too mention, they show me just how much I have done. This is the last week of school....stressful, exciting and sad all at the…

The warm weather has been nice, hasn't it? And another NSV too! I met my goals last week and am working on the same ones this week. I also noticed I haven't been doing my daily meditation so that's another goal. The end of the school year is fast approaching so it is stressful trying to teach, manage anxious students and…

Mid week self check time. How did I do? 1) 30 minutes a day

Good luck with your goals! My goals are: 1) 30 minutes exercise a day 2) lots of water (sorry had to copy you ;) ) 3) complete one mini goal a day Today's mini goal was to create a to do list for the week.
-
Congratulations on reaching this first goal! Celebrate!

Well I have just one goal I want to accomplish by May 8. Gonna try using an incentive to see if it keeps me on track. 1) I will walk 15 minutes before and after work. If I do, I get to spend some money at Bath and Body. Skittles, enjoy your cruise!
-
I didn't meet my goals this week. This is frustrating as they weren't that challenging.
-
<3 Skittles, you've got some good goals. Okay, I had a great Monday and Tuesday but Wednesday kicked my butt. Tomorrow is a new day.

Deem114, I know exactly what you are saying about anxiety; last month, I faced mine and went to Chicago with a friend from work. It was awesome and at the same time very difficult. I am so glad I went; I hope you feel the same way after you go on vacation. I did so well last week on my goals that I am going to up the bar…

HLaR79, congratulations on reaching a milestone!

Mid-week and it sounds like everyone is hitting those goals! Yea us! I made it to Curves once this week, no eating out so far, and 15 minutes walking every day. Plus I have been drinking water rather than coffee during the day. Extra credit!

It's all about accountability for me, even if it just to myself. Logging daily is so important for me too cause if I don't see it in my log, it is so easy to minimize overeating and rationalize unhealthy habits.

Well, I haven't really had goals as I have been working on some life issues (new job next fall and in January a close friend was killed by her husband). I am going to try to refocus on my healthy goals this month. 1). No eating out which means pre planning meals. 2) Curves once this week 3) 15 minute walk every day Let's…

Well last week I stepped out of my comfort zone and took a road trip to Chicago with a coworker. Yes, I was uncomfortable and anxious at times but mostly I just did the things I wanted to do; went to a play, a favorite restaurant of Pres. Obama for a great sandwich with a local beer and some very entertaining performance…

You are so right about being more organized and prepared; I made some changes this week that involved planning ahead. Result was I met every goal I set for myself. And I followed through with plans I made when I have been isolating myself again. So yesterday was a fantastic day spent with a group of friends with great…

Oh, I hope you have good results. A student of mine went on a me to diet with his family and has lost close to 20 lbs and we have notified his mental health is greatly improved. He is happier and more engaged in healthy activities.
-
HLaR79, congratulations on falling below 310. I haven't been on for awhile but I'm working on 30 minutes exercise a day and healthy coping skills.
-
HLaR79, so sorry for your loss of your cat. Pets are such a wonderful part of our lives. It has been hard to spend time outside as it has been very cold here in MN; yesterday's windchill was -35. In fact, it was colder than Hell (Michigan) here this week according to my niece. I have otherwise been doing well on my goals…

HLaR79, sounds like a very good time to see them; hope it gets under control. My January goals are: 1. Spend time outdoors every day; 2. 30 minutes walking daily; 3. Eliminate some stressors in my life that trigger my emotional eating.
-
Sounds like a good place to start!

Hey Skittles, you are not alone. I have regained 90 lbs in the last year and a half. I know how and why but it does not make it any easier, does it? One day at a time is sometimes too much for me. If you can go to zumba, I can get dressed, shovel the 10 inches of snow in the driveway, and go to Curves. That's one day...

So sorry you don't feel well; take care of yourself. I did well on Christmas Eve. I took fruits and veggies to my sister's which we snacked on while playing games. Her kids gave me a huge fruit basket they put together so I have lots of fresh fruits instead of candy to have over the winter break. Now I just need to work on…

Well, I am exhausted after a very busy day at school. The kids are getting restless... I went way over my sodium count today but was under calories. I'll try to watch that closer tomorrow.

Ugh, I have not been working on any healthy goals for a couple of weeks. Maybe I will use my day off to reset. I did well yesterday when I did not over indulge despite all the treats my coworkers brought in but stuck with the salad I brought for lunch and the veggies with low calorie dip. HLaR79, I hope the news from the…

Hey Skittles! Welcome back! I was overwhelmed with emotional stuff this week so I am not sure I met any goals. It just all gets to be too much sometimes. I hope next week is a healthier one.

My goals this week are to pack healthy lunches, continue to exercise 30 minutes a day, and to keep a positive mindset.
