  • My 21st is coming up in a few weeks, getting a new figure hugging dress and some heels :) Hopefully the dress will be in a uk size 10, as I tried a 10 on today (accidently instead of a 12) and it pretty much fitted! :)
  • I didn't tell anyone except my boyfriend that I was dieting either, I think someone first asked "have you lost weight" after i'd lost about 35lbs. Now i've lost 70lbs EVERYONE is noticing! :D I personally didn't notice myself until I had lost 50lbs, I know that might sound silly, but I didn't BELIEVE that I actually looked…
  • 1) Being able to phone my boyfriend on his lunch break 2) Seeing my dad 3) The amazingly warm feeling of a hot chocolate after a long day out in the cold!
  • My allowance is 1400 a day cos i'm on my feet for the majority of the day, and I manage to get a long walk in everyday (well 6/7days) too. So tbh I usually eat about 1500 a day, losing around 2lbs a week. (Lost 3 two weeks ago and 1 last week :))
  • I never used to eat there a lot, maybe once/twice a month tops. But ever since I started eating healthier, if I do go there after about an hour or so I just feel bloated and sick! Even if i've just had a small fries. I'm just not used to the processed food full of salt! Especially since I never add it to my own cooking.…
  • i still get this occasionally, usually on tuesdays cos im up at 5am and dont usually go bed til about 11pm :P I find watching motivational things help, sounds silly but im much less likely to eat something "bad" after watching something like the biggest loser. Also low cal but sweet drinks help, like pepsi max! Be careful…
  • this summer i WILL get my arms out for the first time since I was about 12years old (9 years ago), its crazy to think ive hid them away for so long.
  • I'm glad someone has posted something like this. Get so annoyed when its said on here and tv that I need to eat less carbs, or i'm not allowed a potato, ridiculous. I was taught when I was younger you need a healthy balance, around a third veggies/fruits, quarter carbs, quarter meat and then the rest is either fat/dairy. I…
  • I don't necessarily plan to give myself a reward... but if I try on a pair of jeans and they're a size smaller than usual, i'm gonna buy them! It definitely motivates me to carry on :) also I agree with the above about it being a lifestyle change, i'm never going back to the way I used to be. This being said i'm not NEVER…
  • I know bmi gets a lot of criticism, but i'm using that as a guide. I'm aiming for 168, cos that'll give me a bmi of around 23 (i'm 5'10). Once I get there i'll decide whether it's for me or not!
  • NO pills, NO crazy diets, just a healthy lifestyle change. 12months later, i'm 67pounds lighter. Defo the way to go! If I had done a crazy diet and lost it in half the time I would have been back to my old weight by now due to depriving myself.
  • Thanks people I will be doing that :)
  • I used to eat big all day and a bad habit I had was eating just before bed, so I literally just went cold turkey and now don't eat after 7pm except for maybe a low cal hot chocolate or something. It seems harsh but now when its after 7 and I want something I just say no, if I eat too close to bed time now I just feel sick…
  • Chewee bars! The white chocolate ones are so nice and help beat chocolate cravings and are only 91 cals each :) Btw i'm from the UK, so i'm not sure if their only available here or not! haha
  • Definitley breakfast. Around 600 cals for breakfast, 450 for lunch and 350 for dinner. And i'll snack in between if its a gym day.
  • Just a few thoughts I had when reading, but I lost 62 pounds last year (excluding cheat days such as my bday and christmas day!) and I ate at least 1500 every day? If i'm at the gym I sometimes eat 1800, and I still lose 1 to 2 pounds a week. I always thought that 1200 is too little to be eating everyday? I'm definitely…
  • My before and after is my profile pic :) Dunno how to add photos on message boards :P Also how do you add your "ticker" in to posts?
  • The only time I don't record my calories is Christmas day and my birthday, as these days I think its silly to not enjoy myself! As for other cheat days I don't have them, I simply eat everything in moderation. For example the other day I bought some Ben and Jerrys caramel chew chew! Only ate about a 1/4 of the tub tho…
