I've done it once all the way through and am about to start it again. I loved it! Only takes twenty minutes and you only need a couple of hand weights (or bottles of water etc). I didn't measure weight or inches before and after but you see such a big improvement in your fitness really quickly that it's very encouraging…

Just getting started again but my diary is open, feel free to add me, I love getting ideas from other people's logging

Hey - I feel your pain! I'm not doing a specific "detox" but am on day three of just generally eating healthy and avoiding sugary snacks (my nemesis). Am getting horrendous headaches. Have exercised on both days though because even gentle exercise makes me feel better and more energised afterwards. I'd say go for it -…

Hi, north west here  want to lose 3-4 stone but slow and steady. Feel free to add me!

Hi! Me too, just getting started (day two!) but have been on MFP for a few years on and off. Like looking at other peoples diaries too! :)
-
Congrats on your weight loss so far. I lost a similar amount a few years ago and then stopped using MFP because honestly I was sick of logging everything and wanted to just get on with life. Predictably I put all of it back on over about five years so am now starting again. Don't waste all your hard work! I think it's fine…

Just keep at it and you will get better, honestly! I've completed it once before and am just starting it again. By the end of 30 days, even if you don't make it to level 3 you will be so much fitter than when you started. Just try and beat what you did last time by a little bit each day.

Panache get my vote. Apparently the female contestants use them on the biggest loser so they are pretty sturdy! They come up true to size as well.

I am also a fan of having two lunches- I have two breaks at work and I have a proper meal in both, albeit in a smaller portion.
-
This is the most inspirational post I've read on here, thank you for sharing. You look amazing but more importantly you ARE amazing.

Charlotte, 26, Manchester I'm 5'3 and am going to lose about 4 stone altogether (eek!) So far I am down 1.5 stone :) I have been doing the 30 day shred and the odd 5k.

I bought a dress last May that I have never ever been able to fit into (I don't know why I didn't return it...) but today.... IT FITS!

I have a treat meal once a week, but have a portion that I think the maintenance me in the future would have! I think if you are feeling so guilty about a whole day, you might feel better with one meal. Having said this, I do believe in everything in moderation, so if you aren't denying yourself anything then you don't…

I think a mix of both would be best for you, particularly if you love running! My experience of the 30 day shred so far is this: 6 days level 1 4 days level 2 I do it 4 days a week and run 5k on another day. For me having rest days is important because they are both quite high impact on the knees. I recently noticed that I…

Jinx! Me too.

I love this! When I first started I couldn't run more than about 30seconds without feeling like I was going to die. But I did 5k this morning. I still have to chant "can't run by walking" sometimes, it was my mantra in the early days!

I just wanted to chip in to say you have great legs! Sometimes it's hard to see our own good bits :)
-
WOW! The difference is incredible! You are doing so well, very inspiring. :)

Hi all! I'm 26, live in the UK and this weekend hit the 170s :D I''m 5'4, started at 192 five weeks ago and am down to 178. I've been tracking on my phone and only recently discovered all the boards. I like finding new healthy recipes and am currently doing the 30 day shred. I update daily and like encouraging people :)
-
I agree, I like your sensible approach! I sent you a request :)
-
I started yesterday and have sore arms this morning! I like the kind of exercises she does and am looking forward to being able to do them better...
-
I think if left to my own devices I wouldn't drink much. Whilst tracking there have been three evenings in the last six weeks where I've had a drink because I'd rather eat my calories!
-
Thanks :) my daily diet is about 50% carbs. When I eat bread I have a slice about 35g and it's always at least 50% wholemeal. With regards to potatoes and pasta I LOVE both but at the moment I am not eating them very often (maybe once a week for each) because they just don't seem to be filling enough for the calories.
-
Oatmeal! And all vegetables :)

I have porridge for breakfast most days and am losing about 2lbs a week. It's one of my favourite meals because there are lots of different healthy toppings you can add so it doesn't get boring. As long as you are accurately calculating the calories and nutrition in it, I don't think it would slow your weightless down.
-
I agree with psmd - pesto and salmon is a great combination
-
If it's a one off then enjoy yourself BUT stop when you are full. Try eating slower than you normally would. Then be super healthy the next day and make sure you get some exercise in. Life is too short!
-
 Now I must immediately try almond milk...
-
What a great story and well done you!

I just buy regular porridge oats, all supermarkets have an 'own brand' version. MUCH nicer than instant and you control exactly what's in it.
