I've found that once MapMyWalk/MapMyHike syncs a workout at the end, MFP adjusts my calorie burn from my iPhone steps downward (from when I might check in the middle of the walk, for example) so I don't think it's double-counting.

"It goes 'ding' when there's stuff." Because this is so me at work and grad school right now.
-
What I've been doing is setting Endomondo to "walk" because I'm so new at it, so that is the bulk of the workout...but as things get more complicated how do you track it?
-
So, something like Endomondo does?

I actually lost weight when I started college in '09. I'm not sure how much, because I never paid attention to the scale; I just noticed that my pants size dropped. I had untreated anxiety and depression. During high-stress times, I could go as long as a week without eating any meals...maybe a snack somewhere that a…

Dude, sorry! When I went to post the last one was a woman. You are a 9 too, sir.
-
Women aren't my scene, but objectively speaking, 9.

Oh yeah, Dean Winchester any day of the week. Put him behind the wheel of that 1967 Impala and look out. Oh man, how yummy.
-
Have you SEEN his son? Sploosh!
-
Oh, and the 10th Doctor, of course!

A long coat and a touch of vulnerability. So I'm pretty much a sucker for Sherlock and Castiel from Supernatural. As far as body types...lean, but not skinny. Bulging muscles aren't my thing....John Harrison from the new Star Trek movie is about my upper muscle-limit.

Love your ticker!
-
22! Feel free.
-
That sounds delicious!
-
Saved!
-
Neat! But I'm a bit pressed for cash and would like to avoid buying any extra gadgets.
-
Wrestling? Wildlife? Anyway, it's a reference to my favorite Doctor Who episode!
-
Aw! It's always good to see another Who and Sherlock fan on here! The doctor's office is probably more accurate, but I'd like to do it a little more often than that, especially since I'm such a newbie. I want to make sure I'm on the right track.

I like the later in the week idea. I've been doing Mondays...and this past weekend my sister had a big party. Not encouraging results!
-
Interesting perspective! I'll give it some thought.
-
Hey, by your ticker, you've obviously been quite successful, so whatever works for you :) Personally, I want to see the big picture...the body's day-to-day weight within a pound or two is so finicky and based on so many variables, that with my personalitly, I'd go all-out neurotic on the topic.
-
Yep; that's why I'm aiming for weekly. I still want to monitor trends, and once a week feels like a good length of time to do so.
-
...thanks for the image? :embarassed:
-
That they do. I like fish now, and cooked veggies. That's huge for me. Haven't found myself liking veggies on pizza yet though...it's a texture thing.
-
~salutes~ Yes, ma'am!

[\quote] If you can work it into your day, then eat it! I'm PMS'ing like a crazy lady today and wanted the same thing. So, I had two squares of a chocolate bar (instead of the whole thing) and two pieces of pizza at a friend's house tonight. Could I have eaten more? Sure. But I didn't. Did it satiate my craving enough to…

 :noway: If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
-
I considered that as well. But chocolate...I have no control around chocolate. My savior has been those FiberOne brownies. Good enough to satiate my craving, but not so good that I'll down 6 in one sitting. And as far as the pizza, I've never liked mixing pizza and veggies. If I have veggies with the meal, which I probably…

Preach! I'm trying to defer my pizza craving until tomorrow, since it's Friday! and I won't have much time to cook anyway. It turns out my favorite pizza place makes a personal pizza! If I follow the generic personal pizza entry in the database, I shouldn't go over, especially if I get some exercise in. ...and to be…

Word! This is my philosophy, too. But I'm a newbie and still in training wheels.
