Instead of resting between sets you could try working opposing muscle groups and moving quickly between the two. It really works a sweat.

I can hardly see how your doc can object to water aerobics. If you are not really out of shape it is pretty hard to get your heartrate up, and if you start to suspect you are then you can modify like a lot of the ladies are doing. How about hula dancing, ballroom dancing, or belly dancing?

I don't think you should eat if you are not hungry. But if you are burning a lot of calories then I don't think you should be afraid to reach for that avacado or tahini. 1400, 1500, 1600 you can explore what feels right.

Thanks for asking this. I just gained 5 lbs last week for no reason and lost it all this week for no reason. I know weight loss is not a straight line but it is frustrating. It is good to talk about it and hear all these similar stories and supportive comments.

Try having your cheat day be the day you go up to 1500, and the rest of the week stick to 1300. You have to create that deficit.

Sit ups give me headaches too. I do crunches, dancing, circuit training, full body exercises instead. Pay attention to your body.
