Eat a ton of vegetables, hearty ones, like squash, beets, portabella mushrooms, etc. Did you know you can eat an entire pre-packaged bag of spinach and it amounts to a whopping 60 calories? One giant portabella mushroom is 20 calories! You just have to jazz up your veggies and grains with garlic and spices, and even liquid…

That's great! Thank you!!

I will totally eat anything that grows from the ground, but sometimes, they can be heavy on the calorie side. In order for me to lose weight, and God knows I like to eat, I consume more of the low calorie foods to fill up. But here and there, I have to have my beans and nuts for variety and because they're so darn good!!…

The greatest subject ever! Plant Strong... Clean eating can be learned watching "Forks Over Knives" and "Hungry For Change" , both on Netflix. They also have websites. Animal proteins are not clean (yes, cheese is an animal protein along with eggs, milk, etc.). Oils are also horrible for your health. I've never been this…

You sound like me. I finally started a Plant Strong Diet. It sounds crazy, but it's easy. Simply: * If it has a face or a mother, don't eat it (cholesterol and animal proteins are terrible for you) * Don't eat anything processed (NO processed foods, NO artificial sweeteners, NO white flour)\ * NO OIL, at all, ever!!! All…

Incidentally, I started on the 4th also and I'm down 8 LBS. No exercise for me because I know that 75% of weight loss is directly related to FOOD. Take a look at my food diaries. I eat like a horse, I'm full like crazy, no crappy exercise, and I'm dropping weight like it's cool for the first time ever. Seriously, if more…

I will reward myself by finally meeting my boyfriend's ex-wife! Hey, she's demanding it!! But I shall love it  On Implants, I have them too. I'm 5'3" and normally 115lbs (now 130) and I had 400cc implants done over a B cup. I had saline implants done in 1998. At the time, silicone was not available. I still have my…

That's abuse in my book. Use his negativity as fuel, and get your revenge by getting your body back! Don't let it hurt you, just prove to him that he's an *kitten*!!!

Count me in! 2 weeks into this and I'm pretty sure I've lost no weight. The scale I had was totally wrong, so I bought another one. Essentially, I don't know what my true start weight was. Gosh, I wanna cry!!!

I'm a bartender, so I can relate. I serve really great food, and it's so tempting to have my favorite sandwich and fries. Nevertheless, after tracking calories and eating healthier foods, eventually your palette changes and you start looking at that amazing grilled ham and cheese on a buttery white bread with perfect…

But say that I eat 1200 calories today, then burn 200 on the treadmill, then that's it for the day. What will be my results??
-
So exercise was your only means for deficit? Had you set MFP with goals or just maintenance?
-
That actually makes more sense. I didn't think to see it that way. I've been staying within 200 calories using that also, but I would love to have lost "9 LBS in the next 5 weeks" as opposed to "4 LBS in the next 5 weeks".

You rock!!!

I've lost nothing yet. It's only been 7 days. I am taking the poll for motivation. Good job, btw, your answers are exactly what I need to hear to be inspired. Keep it up!!
-
I totally understand what MFP is saying, in small print of course. If anything is super motivating, it's the huge loss I could "potentially" have by NOT eating back those calories. What I'm getting at is if not eating back exercise calories is not going to work for you, then why would MFP give you a forecast? In reality,…
