it does matter what you eat. Especially if you're working out. You need more vitamins and minerals, less fat and sugar. Then your bod will loosen up those pesky pounds. Eat more plant food. Not to mention you can eat a heck of a lot more plant food.

Wow, everyone is so different!!!! I swear by hiking and the right food, but right now I'm not living close enough to trails to do it daily like I used to. Back in the gym, I'm trying to simulate hikes on treadmill, using elliptical like crazy, using weights and keeping heart rate up, tracking calories, watching my…

well you know how some claim "this machine accelerated my weight loss by, blah blah blah". For me its hiking, which is not a machine, so I like to hear people's experiences

Take a look at my diary (better example of diary is January and February). I eat loads of veggies and only plant foods (like beans, legumes, nuts, fruit, etc.). I have a ton of awesome recipes to make totally "normal" meals that fill me up till I'm spilling over, and that's what your brain likes...a full belly of food and…

Sugar is super addicting and is in most of the foods in the grocery store aisles. Try to stick to the natural sugars found in fruits and agave, and those pesky white sugar cravings will go away.

LOL, no canning tomatoes is canning tomatoes. Do the research. Processed foods hardly contain actual natural foods. Like sugary cereals, artificial sweeteners, soda, etc. A tomato in a can is a tomato in a can.

Yes, wheat flour. And if you look at the Engine2 food line, you will see that with many items, a certain amount of preservatives is necessary. We all come from the convenience food era. The point is a WHOLE FOODS, PLANT BASED DIET. Processed foods: artificial sweeteners, dairy, sugary cereals, hot dogs, white flour, white…

But I'm always totally totally full. When the belly is full, the mind knows the body isn't starving. Full satiation is what the body and mind want in order to allow use of fat reserves. I

The documentary will blow your mind.

It's home made marinara sauce, from scratch. The sweetener I used was agave. The tomatoes came from the can, yes, added sodium. But it's a totally "legal" item. Totally plant-based. Love the China Study!!! Glad to see someone made an effort to take a glimpse of the diet even for a second.

I've got enough left over fat reserves for now. I plan to add beans and legumes back into my diet after I lose the last 10 lbs. I will dive into my home made oil-free hummus at that time...cannot wait!

Plant Based diets aren't raw diets. Roasting, boiling, steaming, grilling, blending, freezing, etc. of things that grow from the ground don't make the item processed. Processed foods are, for example: artificial sweeteners, soda, oils, white flour, anything that is "food-like" (sugary cereal, candy, mcdonalds), and to make…

It's actually really interesting scientific stuff. This post is for those with the same interest.

Potatoes are great, but oil to fry them wouldn't be. Oil clogs arteries. And I think I watched Nap Dynamite a million years ago.

Vegetable broth, cabbage, cauliflower, garlic, spices, asparagus, spinach, or any other vegetables I have on hand, turned into a soup.

Please explain to me what the process was that took place in the canned tomatoes. Do some research before posting please. See Forks Over Knives. It will answer all your questions.

It's coffee. Coffee grows from the ground. Any other brilliant questions?

Just as an update, before people jump on to this post, this isn't meant to invite arguments, or political nonsense, especially from those who come unarmed and uneducated about the topic. This post is meant for those of us who are Plant Strong, Vegetarian or Vegan who eat this way solely based on the HEALTH BENEFITS of a…

No idea what tots is. I fully support bacon eaters, but I can honestly say, if I can avoid heart disease or other unnecessary diseases , then I will.

Do your own research before assuming you understand what we mean by "processed foods". Here's where you'll find interesting brain food: (on Netflix) Forks Over Knives Hungry For Change Food Matters Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead These documentaries also have websites you can visit. This Plant Strong lifestyle is about quality…

I get more vitamins and minerals now than ever have, ever. I've spent the last year researching the topic...Now, time for you to research as well. Here's 1 snippet of info to get you started: 400 calories of oil will hardly satiate you 400 calories of meat or "food-like" items will satiate you 50% 400 calories of vegetables, legumes, beans, fruits, will satiate you 100% (canned…

Actually, the post is totally ok. And, just to clarify, this is about food, not politics. I happen to be very conservative. The reason for this way of eating is solely to reduce the chances of heart disease, cancer, alzheimers, and any other unnecessary diseases that people contract. I fully support the bacon eaters out…

The idea is to eat a whole foods, plant-based diet. The marinara sauce is home-made, fully plant strong, nothing processed, I eat whole wheat pastas, and wheat flour, which is used for wheat bread, sour dough bread, and wheat tortillas. The corn tortillas are 100% corn. So yes, they are "legal" in the plant strong…

Tomorrow's Plant Strong lunch will be Spaghetti Marinara!!! My awesome plant-strong sauce: 1 large can, diced tomatoes 1 small can tomato paste 1/2 head minced garlic or to taste fresh basil - to taste oregano - to taste pepper Himalayan salt thyme 2 tbsp agave 1/2 yellow onion Simmer for a little bit, then serve 1 cup of…

Ahh yes, see, our bodies haven't evolved at all since 65 million years ago, so...when you starve your body, yes, initially you lose weight because your body will use the fat reserves for energy, however, later on, when you start to eat normally again, your brain automatically knows that it doesn't want your body to starve…
