I only became comfortable doing yoga because of my amazing teacher! She taught and still teaches me proper alignment which I seem to need endless help with. My lower back pain is almost entirely gone. I'm trying to cultivate a home practice but one barrier is concern about my form. I've taken to sometimes using my laptop…

Wow thanks for the posts! I'm join to check out he MFP yoga group. I like the idea about leaving my matt out-need to find a spot for that!

I don't really know the answer to that Azwen because I haven't done yoga videos but I do know there are some free and some paid websites that allow you to stream videos. One free one I have heard of is doyogawithme.com. The most well know paid one (free trial) is yogaglo. I'm sure you could look on Amazon too. I would try…

Great! If anyone has any tips for what helps them get down on the mat to practice regularly I would love to know. If you practice at home do you have a dedicated space? Do you try to do same time of day? I practice in my living room currently and trying to carve out a more private spot in my den

The facts are in the movie. And in everything in the scientific journals that tells you a plant based diet is the best for overall health and cancer prevention. Sorry if you find that threatening. yeash. Enjoy being so right all the time

I really don't like all the snark that's why I stay away from the forums. Stay positive and follow your own intuition and data about what makes you feel good. I started out on here 3 years ago eating a standard american diet. Now I'm a vegan and eat no processed foods or refined sugars and I feel so much better and my…

I thought it was a great documentary. It was very eye opening as to how our entire culture is in so many ways structured around feeding sugar addiction. I think your new diet sounds great-good luck!!

Wow these are mostly lovely! And some are quite creatively tawdry

YakTrax Be careful out there!

Your body looks amazing. I don't understand the problem. You do not look twiggy to me at all. Many women would be thrilled to have the figure that you have.

I think it's postural as has been mentioned. In our society we tend to push our hips forward. Tuck your hips in and pull your shoulders back for proper posture. Also your butt should stick out a little. So some yoga! You are also underweight so if you want to add muscle you will need to boost your calories.

I think I might log that under circuit training?

Congrats! That's a huge accomplishment!

I love to cook so my trick is I make what I want to eat! I host and I make what everyone else likes too-but I'm a vegetarian. I prefer raw and cooked vegetables to anything like the turkey and stuffing so I make the sides that I like and I fill up on those!

Oh I'm a sucker for Bonnie Raitt-I know I'm dating myself but her songs are pretty timeless

What's so great about sit-ups? There are lots of other ways to strengthen your core. Perhaps consider yoga or creative ways to do planks? Good luck! I hate sit-ups

I think that is way more protein than your body can use. Lentils are a personal favorite for me!

Also hopefully you are using exercise and not only diet with your weightless. What we eat and moving our bodies are in my opinion incredibly powerful antidepressants. Not that no one should take meds but for many many people eating really whole foods and moving their body every day does wonders for their depressive…

Also what are you eating? if you really want guidance and support it is very helpful to open up your diary. Good luck!

If you feel super fatigued then something is not right. I feel super energized from my workouts. Immediate thoughts are sleep, hydration and fueling. Are you getting enough quality sleep? Are you well hydrated? Are you eating a high quality diet and getting enough calories? If the answer to all of those is yes then…

I don't sweat a lot either unless I do sustained high intensity cardio. I asked my personal trainer if he thought sweat was an indicator of how hard someone was working and he said no way. He has seen athletes really bring it and not sweat much so I guess I'm off the hook

Thanks for posting! I hadn't heard of it but looks like something I would like to see

It sounds like you're talking about two different things perhaps? One is hunger pangs (or from your description possibly cravings of some kind). The other is nausea. When I first starting logging on here I found myself sometimes feeling nauseated about eating. I think some of it may have been just my body going through a…

I'm mostly vegan and have absolutely no problem logging all my calories on a plant based diet.

I'm not sure where you get the idea meat is cheaper? I eat beans, lentils, chic peas etc for my protein. About 99 cents a pound.

Here are a few suggestions I found online. Not something I have had a problem with yet but I hate running with wet feet so I'll be following as well http://www.coolrunning.com.au/forums/?showtopic=36636

Thanks for all the great tips :) I like the beer suggestions lol. I guess I was particularly interested in the idea that protein should be used to aid muscle ecovery post very strenuous workouts I think there is a future in creating a recovery beer with some hemp protein.
