It may be 80% diet, and 20% exercise, but it’s 100% mental...will live on my fridge forever! Fantastic determination I totally admire it! Hands in the air for your success!!

We've lived by two rules for close to 20 years... 1) NEVER EVER say anything to each other that you wish you could take back...and 2) Surprise me Love is ALWAYS worth it.

Previous to "lightbulb moment" - Not able to participate in MY life...too fat to garden (my passion), too fat to even go up the stairs without having to catch my breath and deal with painful my feet and ALWAYS being the "happiest" fat person in the room etc. (I could go on for a page) "Lightbulb" moment... After…

Signed up and ready!! Thanks for putting this together:happy: !

If you follow the plan...the weight will come off. You just cannot look at weight loss in the short term. It's crazy making!! Old adage - "You didn't put it all the weight on in a day and so..." Take a deep breath and focus on how your mind and body are feeling. And then maybe follow in kyrannosaurus's footsteps and throw…

LOVE the rowing machine!!

It looks like you came out of the gate at full speed. Cut yourself some slack and make a promise to workout 3x/week for a couple of months and then go from there. Maybe also try some different classes - even ones that make your tummy "flip" before you've even tried it - you might just find another challenge that you love.…

Sorry...but image is priceless! But I'm still with bd0027 - you're going to find out exactly what kind of damage has transpired...in the morning. And "Just say No!" to fuzzy socks.

My votes on the squats! OMGosh!!!

There is no failure! You're doing it!! You just need to give your body some time to build up the strength/stamina it needs in order to get through Week 5. Each run is a practice for the next run. I also found Week 5 the hardest week of all the weeks. I repeated Week 5 twice (the whole week) and then was able to reach Week…

When I grow up, I want to be just like you!! You are a breath of fresh air!! Tired of the 100% focus on just weight loss. Women need to be strong (and still eat their favourite cookie!). Life's too short and you look amazing!! Thanks for the thread.

All that AND a Canuck's fan...totally awesome!! Congratulations!!

It's great to see everyone's progress!! I just finished Week 5/Day 2 and I'm pretty pleased with myself. Although previous to this run, I had to give myself a couple of days of "self talk" before I got on the treadmill. Thankfully I was successful and will complete Week 5 on the weekend. I'm running at a 4.0 (short legs?!)…

I totally sympathize!! Not getting enough sleep (or getting too much) always leads to my overeating!! I am a shift worker but I have found these things to work for me... a good cardio workout, going to bed at the same time every night (depending on the shift of course, a long hot bath and no TV/Computer for at least an…

Fantastic thread! LOVE all of the information!! :flowerforyou: I started an 8-week running program (5K Runner App) 6 weeks ago and am now working on Week 5/Day 2. I began the program as a way to keep myself motivated through the holidays. Truthfully, I never thought of myself as a runner - especially because of my size - I…

Our stories are similar... After losing ten pounds, I discovered MFP at the beginning of September. I worked hard and lost another 24 (still have 60 to go). On December 20th I decided to take a break from dieting, logging and exercise and just enjoy the holiday. I don't think you were stupid at all. Losing weight takes a…

Gettin' teary just thinking about it. SO much work and determination!! I hope you are just bursting with pride because that is an incredible accomplishment. Best of luck of the next part of your journey...not that you need it :flowerforyou:!!!

You have answered your own question, my dear. You gotta want it!! Shoot for 6 out of 7 days (take Saturday off).

Thanks Bookworm! I appreciate the reply. My mind has been so resolved to losing weight that so far everything is going really well. I'm looking forward to seeing more loss.

I am SO happy for you!! That takes so much courage and determination. You should be really proud of yourself. You are an inspiration to those of us who still have that much weight to lose. Good on ya!

1) I am DONE with being overweight and feeling like crap all the time - it's not really living, it`s barely surviving! 2) During my last doctor's appointment I heard two things a) Irreversible damage and b) losing weight is really difficult. Well, screw it! In my case, there is NOTHING harder than being 100 pounds…

Good answer!! The motivation has to come from within - she has to want it - end of story.

OMGosh!! Totally inspiring video. There are a few people I'm going to pass this along to. Thanks for posting!

Dear Balexsisstar... Life is not all about absolutes. Good food/bad food, good person/bad person for having eaten or not eaten what you think you should or shouldn't have eaten (now there's a mouthful). You are young yet. Give yourself at least 6 months to figure out what a healthy eating regime and exercise plan…

Because you can.

2 Ryvita crackers with a low fat turkey and a low fat cheese slice melted on top. For something sweet a Clementine orange.
