I usually take a wedge or two of purple cabbage to snack on, frozen grapes, blue berries or strawberries to fill me up when I feel like just snacking on stuff. Also, drink a glass or two of green ice tea or hot tea or water before you eat, that will fill you up a bit and keep you from going over.

I try to be more vegetarian these days and have an idea I came across to use almonds a different way. Pretty delicious too. Take fresh raw almonds and soak them in some fresh water overnight, rinse and store in a zipbag in the fridge. They are terrific tossed in a salad or just eaten raw like that. Not so hard on the teeth…

I like the NUGO from Costco because they are low glycemic, kinda like rice crispies bars. Not to bad tasting compared to some! Lots of protein in them which helps me since I'm about 80% vegetarian.
