RAWR! Awesome!

True. Getting married isn't like waving a magic wand. Nothing will change.

Amazing work. Congrats to both of you!

Yes, what everyone already said. You can't spot reduce, but adding in some exercise can help create a bigger calorie deficit and help you lose fat all over, and make you feel better. There are lots of workout videos on youtube; I think most of the Jillian Michaels ones are there. You can do them in your house with minimal…

This post is ridiculous. Yes, please pass more judgement and tell us all about how you would have prevented this.

Anyone here can feel free to add me. I started Stronglifts in March and have been doing some sort of version of it since then. I'm probably moving more towards more of an aesthetic program like Strong Curves, but that still has a lot of heavy stuff, too.

It's awesome to be strong! Great job--you look great :)

I think that's the whole point. Too many people use kids as an excuse not to exercise, not to clean the house, not to shower, etc etc etc. I didn't find it that hard when my kids were younger either. It's actually more of a challenge now that they're slightly older and I'm driving them to activities, friends' houses, etc.…

Finally got around to doing one :)

That's about it.

Don't you know that putting on pants, brushing your hair and doing the dishes also take time away from being a good mom? I have seen all those examples and more on mommy boards.

wut?

She looks great, and good for her that she hasn't used her kids as an excuse. But I can tell most of you have never been part of any "mommy" message boards. Going to the gym obviously makes you a horrible mother that doesn't want to spend every waking moment tending to their children. Here are a sample of other things that…

Fairly small town here, too. All of the people at my post office are very friendly, but the efficiency is lacking. Usually there's one person working the front desk. Then they disappear into the back to look for something, which always takes at least 10 minutes. What they're looking for is never where it's supposed to be.…

For a couple years in college, I ate sandwiches multiple times a day. Crazy crazy times those were. I wouldn't want to do it again, but those are the kind of experiences that shape the rest of your life, so no regrets.

Yes, this. I'm eating 1600-1800 and lifting heavy a few days a week. I've never been significantly overweight, just a little squishier than I wanted to be, but I've definitely lost fat, gained strength and "toned" up over the last several months of this. I'm 5'5", 150 lbs. My weight hasn't changed more than a few lbs since…

This is a great success story all around. Congrats.

Yes and yes :).

Useful post is useful! I want to make these, or at least make my husband make them for me. Thanks for posting!

Sorry for your loss. I started out doing Stronglifts in March, but I've sort of switched to Texas method (based on Starting Strength), and now moving on to something like Strong Curves. This was the first group I was ever active in, so I have a hard time letting go, even if I'm not following the program :)

Nutella is delicious. And the label on the jar tells me exactly how much sugar is in a serving.

I'm already in better shape than most people my age. I can afford to skip a few workouts. I only have half an hour before the kids get home. Why bother going for a walk/jog now if I only have half an hour? By the time I get changed and go to the bathroom I'll only have 25 minutes. and also this one
