Chicken tacos or chicken and veggies. Either way, it usually ends up being chicken and vegetables in some incarnation or another. That's kind of sad now that I think about it, lol. I eat that a lot...

My first thought - meal prep. Meal prep for each of you, that way there's no confusion over what, when, or how much each of you eat. Meals are already portioned out and ready to go!

I took my shirt off at a big pool party this weekend (40+ people), and didn't feel ashamed. It was the first time in years. I have a little more to go to reach my first goal, but wow did it feel good. No stress of what to wear, no stress of wanting to make an excuse to avoid the party. No wondering if people were judging…

Weigh your food before it's cooked. The nutritional values on labels are for unprepared portions unless stated otherwise.

I'm lifting my eyes in a rolling motion, does that count?

I'm a big fan of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard, it's only $0.75 per serving when you get the 5 lb jug, and the service is excellent. Tons of flavors to try too. www.bodybuilding.com

Maxed out the leg press machine last night at 490 lbs x 12. I'm finally up to using the inclined leg press with plates, that's a big win for me! A few months ago I was struggling with mid 200's x 10. /cheer

I've been told many times in the past that "you can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself first." It took years of hard knocks until it finally sunk in, but it's very, very true. Take care of yourself first, it's important. Then you can take care of others more efficiently, effectively and passionately.…

Mine is open, feel free to add me. I use a fitbit that constantly adjusts my allowance based on my activity, so it may look pretty low for my allowance early in the day. Male, 6'0" SW: 250 CW: 214 GW: 190 Eat ~ 1800-2000 calories a day. Active 4-6 days a week.

This is strange, I've had mine for a month and it's been great. I wear it 24/7 and only need to charge it once every 4-5 days. I don't leave it on the charger though, once the battery is full I pull it from the charger. I'm not sure if that helps. I would ask to replace it personally.

I realized life is too short. We're all on a ride to the grave, and I want to have enjoyed a happier, healthier, longer life than a short, miserable one that I didn't appreciate like I should have. When it's time to put me in the ground, I want to feel like I've lived a good, honest, respectable life.

Why not learn healthy eating habits so that you can sustain them when you have lost weight?

You're both grown adults, the age doesn't matter in this situation.

Awesome advice, thank you very much! I'll definitely keep it mind if/when I hit that dreaded wall. :)

Thanks! I think the best part so far is having gone from a tight 38" pant to a tight 34". So for at least a couple more weeks it'll be an awkward, very loose fitting 36". I'll take it though!

Congratulations!!!

Very inspiring, great job!

So you're going to direct your own personal resentment to random men that show you kindness? Huh. Good luck with that.

19 lbs to go. I should hit Onederland in about 3 months. It's one thing that keeps me motivated every day, knowing that I'm almost there!

I've had to do both. One part finding an alternative food to satisfy my craving, and then still occasionally allowing myself to have that one food that I really want but only at a "cheat" meal. For example, going out with the guys - I'll have a vodka and tonic, scotch (neat) or wine. On the rare occasion of a cheat meal,…
