Your bf% starting so low is likely to cause more rapid weight gain than someone who started in the mid 20s. Walking is great exercise and you don't need to stress about doing more than your body can handle.
-
You're eating far too few calories...I've eaten 2200ish calories my entire pregnancy and I'm rather petite to start.
-
Up 30 pounds total from my happy weight and I'm 38weeks. Hoping to end at 32-33 pounds total gained. That seems reasonable. I'm also hoping that I'll lose 22-23 of it by my 6 week check and the other 10 over the following 5 months.

I can tell you from experience that it's far from behind if you're considering "fasting" to make up for eating 1000 calories over maintenance. I say "fasting" because really this is nothing more than a "binge" and "starve" cycle that you're considering--only the "binge" is simply a little overeating which all normal people…

Wow, that's incredible.
-
And calling what she's doing "binging" is not helpful. She's not freaking binging...if you're eating in response to HUNGER you are not binging. I wish people would stop using that word.
-
It's not "binging" when your body is literally crying out for food. If you've never recovered for, an eating disorder then you really can't possibly understand. It is EXTREMELY "normal" to "binge" when you're in the weight gain portion of recovery.

I guess some people are truly that dense or fail to comprehend how the human body operates. Good job my friend...and I'd eat cereal all day too if I was trying to gain weight.
-
People intentionally trying to gain weight don't INTENTIONALLY restrict their fat intake. There's your problem. You seem to not really be invested I'm this goal--it really is "that easy"--eat normal food, stop DIETING, and the pounds will come on.
-
Love this! I wish more women understood and lived by this instead of obsessing over every single ounce and depriving themselves (and often their babies) in order to gain as little as humanly possible.
-
you're doing fantastic! I'm sure your maternity photos will be lovely! Also, ultrasound weights are estimates at best. At 36 weeks the average baby is ~5.78 pounds so your little one is only ~4-5oz more than "average" which is negligible and actually completely normal if you're having a boy since boys weigh a bit more than…

Only at the doctors office since the beginning of pregnancy. I don't like the thought of what or hot much I eat being affected by the number on the scale...I can gauge whether I'm doing well by being honest about my BEHAVIOR (what I'm eating and how active I've been). The scale can't tell me that. 37 weeks and up 27-28…

doesn't sound like too much. I've eaten 2000+ since the first trimester and my weight gain is within normal ranges at 36 weeks.

Height: 4'11 Pre-pregnancy: 110 Current: 137 as of 35w3d Thinking I'll land somewhere under 145 so under the 35 pound limit which is just perfect! I eat ~2200 calories MINIMUM per day. Workouts consist of stairs and the elliptical, i also do an arm circuit a few times a week. Having a healthy baby is more important to me…

I'm due August 3rd. 36 weeks now :)

If you were restricting carbohydrates then the weight gain you are seeing is water weight and after the initial replenishment if glycogen stores the weight gain will likely taper off--which it should have done by now. I really wouldn't recommend that any pregnant woman in the 2nd trimester eat only 1600 calories. That is…

I'm 36 weeks--I do an arm circuit a few times a week, elliptical, and stairs. I was jogging a few times a week but Recently stopped because it's uncomfortable on the hips and vaginal area.
-
Oh and after 20 weeks it's err commended to gain 1 pound per week On average--some weeks will likely be more and some less. That's not a problem.
-
I'm assuming you lost weight during your weeks of morning sickness? Try to acquaint yourself with the normal pregnancy weight gain...at 20 weeks 10 pounds ABOVE PRE PREGNANCY WEIGHT is recommended for people who start at a normal weight. It is not at all for the lost weight to come on faster than if you were gaining from…

Well, I'm 36 weeks now and baby girl could really arrive at any time. My OB thinks I will have her early and I do too but I'm not going to hold my breath. In any case, I've given quite a bit of thought to my postpartum plan and I want it to be reasonable, effective, yet not in any way compromise my milk supply. So, my plan…

You can't always measure water retention with your eyes--I wouldn't be shocked if you have more waiting to fall off.

Prepregnancy: ~110 Fertility treatments and the like...no scale, but a significant gain between September and December when my doctor first weighed me. Current at 34 weeks: 137 Hoping to keep my weight at/under 145 to bring me to 35 pounds to lose to be back to my prepregnancy weight. That will also be 20 pounds up from my…

"normal" for someone overweight is ~3/4 pound a week. You've got 26 weeks to go--so that would put you at right around 20 pounds total which is perfectly healthy +/- 5 pounds.
-
Yay in nursery progress! So exciting. I'm hoping to be at 145 (or less) when I deliver. We are really close pregnancy wise. I'm 33w2d as of this morning (Tuesday the 17th). Of course, if I'm not I won't stress it. The dress is from forever 21 and it's actually non maternity, the boob area is definitely too small though.
-
Looks like you'll be right around 35 pounds--which is TOTALLY healthy. Don't be too hard on yourself.
-
At least in the U.S. if you're a healthy BMI then doctors recommend 25-35 pounds It sounds like you're doing great!
-
So have you gained 14 or 7?
-
Our total weight/weight gain is almost exactly the same. That's incredibly uncanny. Unfortunately, I'm 2 inches shorter than you and don't look nearly as good at 120 as you do. Way to go on a healthy weight gain.

I'm Christina. FTM to a baby girl and due Aug 3rd. I'm 25, will be turning 26 a month after my little munchkin is born.
