  • Thanks Eddie! Today I felt like I went crazy and chugged vegetables. I didn't have any fruit or nut but guess what? My net carb was 26 and I had 8 servings of vegetables including beets which are pretty low fiber. So, I think I couldn't possibly eat enough vegetables to put me over 50. I need to re-read the other phases in…
  • You can do it! Just focus on the fact that feeling this way means a change is happening. I had TERRIBLE nausea for about four days but at the end felt better than I have in a long long time. Hang in there
  • I bet they are motivating! Maybe I will try them out. Who knows how accurate they are? It seems like from what you are eating and the weight loss you are experiencing that you are in ketosis and things are going well! I'm hoping for a bump up in feeling well and energy tomorrow. I haven't done my normal exercise routine in…
  • I was kind of wondering the same thing. Looks like we're on about the same time-table. I started Wednesday last week so it's been 6 days. I was pretty low carb before (100ish grams/day) so I was hoping to dodge some induction symptoms. On about day 4 I started getting really nauseated just thinking about food. I'm feeling…
  • Hi! Wow it sounds like you've already done a lot of great things. I only started induction 7 days ago so I'm by no means an expert :) When I started I felt so confused and overwhelmed by information; hopefully your past experiences will make this transition easier! What I did at first was exactly what you described. I…
  • Eddie (and anyone else interested) have you seen this: http://cavemanketo.com/configuring-mfp/ It's a blog post with directions on how to configure MFP to calculate net carbs by automatically subtracting fiber from carbohydrate. Also, it has a tutorial on how to change your settings for your macros to better reflect a low…
  • Thanks! It's easier than I thought :)
  • Hi! Today is my first day of induction so not sure how helpful my diary will be.... but it is open to friends so feel free to add me! Hope your first days go well :)
  • Hi! I'm always looking for more friends and support! I just started a low carb plan this week. I was already around 90-110 carbs/day because I am gluten intolerant and don't eat any breads. But, the scale has stalled so I'm trying a few weeks of carbs from veggies only (no fruit or alcohol) before I add it back in…
  • Hi! I'm starting tomorrow. I already eat a fairly low carb diet since I am gluten intolerant. I do have a weakness for fruit and wine :) Please feel free to add me as a friend and reach out for support! I am a little nervous for the "flu" period but am excited to find out what it feels like to have lots of energy. I have a…
  • Hmmm I'm BRAND new to this so I can't really offer any advice. But I was interested to read what others had to say. I am mapping out a menu for the next few days and trying to just see where the calories land. It's looking like they will be around 1500. I walk 1-2 hours per day as part of my commute so I think 1200 is a…
  • Hello all! I'm a relatively new to paleo. I became interested after realizing that I am intolerant of gluten and dairy. I'd love all the support and tips I can get so feel free to add me. Liz
  • Hi! Feel free to add me! I love paying forward all the help and encouragement I've received along the way. It helps with the accountability piece as well :)
  • Yes, I would agreed calories matter too! I lost a bunch of weight in the first few days which my doctor tells me was likely water weight as a result of inflammation caused by my gluten and dairy intolerance. After that, it was back to the slow and steady progress. I do concentrate on eating whole/unprocessed foods as much…
  • It's very interesting (to me) to look at the way that different foods affect me. This helps me to learn what is "healthy" FOR ME. Not for anyone else. For example, dairy gives me sinus headaches. Therefore, I do not feel it is healthy for me to eat dairy. Gluten gives me migraines and significant digestive complaints. I…
  • How did you end up liking the shakes? I just finished the 30 day program myself and really got a lot out of it! I thought it was normal that I woke up every morning with a headache, stomach ache, and was exhausted ALL the time. I followed the program pretty religiously and therefore cut out dairy and gluten. I felt amazing…
  • MMmm those sound really tasty! I can't have dairy (whey) or soy so it's hard for me to find a protein powder without those ingredients. I use the arbonne protein and I think it tastes great and also mixes easily if you're using it without a blender.
  • Sounds like a great idea! 5'5" female, 26 years Starting Weight: 166.6 lbs. Current Weight: 159.4 lbs. Goal Weights: 130-135 lbs.
  • I'm doing barre classes also. I love it! I tried wearing my HRM during class a few times just to get an idea of the calorie burn and I ended up making my own exercise for it. My classes have a little cardio mixed in (jumping jacks etc.) so my heart rate was pretty high. It ended up being a similar burn to circuit training.…

  • Haha I feel like I get the high score every day too :) Do you guys eat your activity/weekly points? I decided to go for eat this week just to see what would happen.... but it's hard not to feel guilty!
  • I actually just joined weight watchers a few days ago! I'd used this site for a while but felt like I needed more structure, at least for a little whle. Are you tracking on the WW website or on here? I'm not really sure which is better? Feel free to add me :)
  • Hi guys!!! OMG I have been soooo MIA! I am so impressed by all the fabulous progress. I didn't have time to read back through everything but I did notice that J-Courtier ran a 10K, that's amazing!!! I just finished up W6D1 and it felt pretty good. I got a little tired with 2 minutes to go but that's to be expected. School…
  • Hey all! Wayyy to go on all the good work! Remember when I said I was going to log in more???? Well.... clearly didn't happen as I planned. Oh well! New week to try again :) I'm going to do the big 20 minute run today - kind of nervous. I can do it....right??? I have been doing lots of other kinds of workouts too. Now that…
  • I'm on my way out the door in a minute to do W5D2 - a little late but better than never! I'm setting some October goals for myself and one is to log into this thread (AKA the non-mobile version of this site) at least every other day. So hopefully I can make that happen. J-courtier and Rachel - I can' believe you're done!…
  • I can't believe the progress that's happening here! To those who are sick/injured - take care! It seems like such a motivated group of warriors sometimes needs to remember to give ourselves permission to let our bodies recover :) I am hoping to squeeze W5D2 in tomorrow. I'm struggling to come up with a consistent schedule…
  • I love the W2W ticker! I'm going to put it up as soon as I am done with this post. You all have inspired me to do a 5K run. I'm looking into different ones in the area. The weather is starting to cool off so I'm not sure about doing a run in November or December??? My friend wants to do one in December but I'm not sure…
  • Hey all!! I'm so inspired when I see so many of you posting that you are doing 5K's and long runs! It makes it seem like this is something I will also be able to do one day :) I finished W4 yesterday - can't believe that I can actually run for 5 minutes in a row. I will start W5 tomorrow. Jenny - way to go running in the…
  • Hi all! I haven't logged in for a while, this thread has been busy! I do log in to MFP every day to track my food/workouts but it's harder for me to get to a computer to see the threads. I just finished W4D2 and I must say it was much easier than W4D1. It might have been because I ran on a treadmill today, which I find…
  • Wow this thread has been busy this weekend! I didn't log in but I did finish W3 up this weekend. I'll be doing W4D1 tomorrow - not sure if I'll do treadmill or outside? I'm hoping for nice weather so I can continue outside for as long as possible. Keep up the good work team (Name TBA)! I liked all the names - you guys are…
  • Hello all! Today is a "rest" day for me. I'm doing an arms workout from P90X to burn some cals. I got an amazing groupon for a sushi place that is just delish. So I'm sure I'll go a bit over on my cals today... j_courter: Wow it sounds like you are one busy lady! What a great run. I can't imagine running 5 minutes in a…
