I bought the Polar FT4 and love it!! It doesn't download to the computer, but, it does count the calories, time, etc....that I easily plug in here on MFP. Whatever you chose......it will benefit you in your health journey! Good Luck!

Congrats on your baby!!! If you want encouragement and support, please send me an invite!!!

Agreed, we need a before pic to see the effectiveness of the exercise.

GET your scales back or buy new ones. That is really the only way that you are going to have any kind of accuracy when weighing your food.

YES!!! That is an NSV!!! Congratulations!

That is WONDERFUL!!! See, the scale can sometimes depress us, but, these little NSV always make us happy!!! CONGRATULATIONS!

I work out at the gym at least 5 days a week. When I am at work (I work 24-48 hour shifts) I do the 30DS. I would say that it is ok to do the same routine that is done in 30 DS. You are getting a full body workout with cardio. I went to the second workout when I felt that the first was no longer a challenge. So, I am now…

I have doen Atkins before and lost 20 pounds. But, sadly, I gained it all back when I stopped the diet. You should watch carefully what you eat after stopping Atkins. Continue exercise, and I wish you the best. Good Luck!

Zuma is dancing! I love it! It burns calories and you have fun! It works for me!

Big Bump!!

Atkins! Yes you lose weight, but, can you afford the diet?? I can't! And I had "carb" cravings like crazy! So, when I went off the diet, I gained back the lost weight, plus 20 more pounds over the next year! The only way to lose weight healthy, and keep it off is to eat healthy and exercise!! Fad diets only work while you…

Great idea to give the scale to your boyfriend!! Yes, you are obsessed!! STOP!! You are only setting yourself up for failure!!! Weigh once a week or less and always weigh at the same time of the day and with the same scale.....GL!!

I talked to my trainer yesterday about the same thing!! I was on 1200 calories/day and working out 6 days a week (cardio and strength training). He thinks that I am not eating enough calories for as many work outs as I am doing. He suggested that I increase my caloric intake to 1600 calories/day. But, not to change what I…

I do not record normal daily activities. I do record workouts. There are days that I burn almost 600 calories at the gym and I like the way MFP keeps the calories/food/workout in a simple format for its users. GL!!

YES! YES! Yes! Though I do not have a period anymore, the weight gain is a normal thing during that time. It is attributed to water being stored in the body. Keep up your exercise and calorie restriction. You should see the difference when your cycle is over for the month. But, be aware that it will happen again next…

The exercise equipment I use at the gym always has more calories burned than my HRM. So, IU go by my HRM (chest strap and wrist watch). I would suggest to use them together. I feel that my HRM is more accurate than the gym equipment.

Burning fat as opposed to burning muscle is a good thing. I am not sure why this is bothering you. What symptoms are you experiencing?

Walk. It's safe and easy and not threatening at all. And it doesn't "advertise" to the world that your intention is exercise, it just says hey I'm a lady out for a walk. BRAVO!! Excellent advice!

Peolpe that express their political views and vulgarity! Especially both in the same sentence!

THANKS!

EXERCISE is the answer. Cardio and weights. Please don't let the prospect of loose skin stop you from getting healthy!
-
You are definately going to the wrong one!!! I love the gym I am going to. The people there are friendly and encouraging! They also have little contests or incintives to attend. I came in 3rd place last month and won 3 free TRX training sessions with a personal trainer! I can honestly say "I LOVE MY GYM!!!"
-
FANTASTIC!!! Go ahead and cry!!!

I used to be the worst about getting up at night and snacking! Unhealthy snacks, too! That was a big downfall for me. I slowly rid my kitchen of ALL cookies, chips, ice cream....etc... you get the picture. And in it's place put healtheir snacks. Fruits, veggies. Now when i get up "hungary", I will have a banana, apple or…

Try a complex carb diet. I eat lots of brown rice and beans, get full and am satsified for longer periods of time. BTW, complex carbs do NOT spike your blood sugar. Their nutrients are released slowly into your system, therefore only releasing smaal amounts of insulin. Hope this helps!

BUY IT!!!! I bought one and absolutely love it!!! It helps me to keep from slacking off when I am doing cardio and TRX training! Well worth the investment. You can also set your HR parameters (low and high).
-
Since your medication is a stimulant, it very well may be the reason for your tachycardia. Normal HR range is 60-100.....anything over 100 is considered tachycardia. Please talk to the prescribing MD about the side effects of your meds...........I hope this helps!
