It is sad to say, but, some people never "feel skinny" or admit that they are. My advice would be to post a pic of you on your mirror, the one BEFORE you lost weight. Then every time you look in the mirror, you will SEE the results of your hard work and committment to getting healthy! Hopefully after time, you will be able…

I have a Polar FT4. You can set the parameters of your heart rate range. While you are in this range, I think this is when your calories are counted. Though any HRM may not be accurate, it is better than not having any tool. I love my Polar! I hope this helps. Sorry about a short answer, I am off to the gym in a few…

Buy a HRM to track your calories you burn with each workout. I have Polar FT4 and love it! It cost $89. A little pricy, but, it has more than paid for itself! I hope this helps....

I usually marinate mine in a fat free Italian Dressing for several hours before cooking and I love the taste. I usually grill my chicken breasts, but, still marinate with almost any way I prepare it. Hope this helps.

It must be a little difficult for you. You are on a health journey and she is not. Just keep up your dedication to being healthy and encourage your friend whenever she gives you the opportunity. People at my work have finally stopped offering my unhealthy snacks. They all know that I am on this journey and encourage me…

I am 5'4.75" and right now weigh 137 lbs. I started at 154 lbs on Feb 7th (when I joined the gym). I have done almost strictly cardio until this week. I started TRX with a trainer. I FEEL THE RESULTS!!! The workout is only 30 minutes, but am feeling like I have done a marathon workout. Eating right and exercising is the…

In my opinion and from what I have learned over the years, as long as you are eating enough to support your BMR, you are doing fine. Any exercise calories do not need to be consumed. This is how you lose weight. I hope this helps.
-
You don't need to eat your "exercise" calories. Just make sure you eat you BMR calories. You will not go into "starvation" mode if you do not eat your exercise calories. Hope this helps.

I at times take a break and indulge in alcohol....ENJOY!! Just not too frequently.......:drinker:

Fat burning cardio!! I feel much better! Better attitude, more energy and the desire to do the things in life that I love! I had lost interest in doing things like camping, shopping, etc....I now have the energy and desire to enjoy life again! Thanks for asking!

You are thinking right! I learned in nursing school that one should never eat less than 1000 calories a day. So, you are on the right track.
-
Please add me. Thanks
-
I think that the calories you see are the actual calories burned since you placed the device and turned it on. It would be interesting to know if you keep the device on 24 hours if it will actually track all calories used in conjunction with your heart rate??

Thanks everyone! I knew that I could look to MFP members for help! It is greatly appreciated!

Definately morning. During the night, while you sleep, your body loses an average of two pounds! It works to recharge your vital prgans and repair them during rest. I always weigh first thing in the morning after going to the bathroom (potty) and without any clothes on. GL!
-
My personal advice is: Do not eat up your exercise calories. Only eat your BMR calories to lose. After a few weeks, I alos stopped losing. So, I took a day off and ate cookies and grilled buttery sliced beef sandwich with cheese! This "cheat day" worked for me. The next weigh in, about 2 days later, I had lost 1.5 lbs.…

I seem to have the same problem. I usually do my workouts around 7-8 am though (gym is not too crowded). When you are feeling tired in the afternoons, try getting up from your desk and walking around a little. Get the blood flowing. Maybe a caffiene drink, but, no chocolate. GL!

Fat burning cardio! This will melt the inches away along with a healthy diet. GL!
