I think you may need to break down each exercise............not sure though.

Impressive! I would like to have the spreadsheet to acurately count calories.........thanks!

I agree, I never realized how many calories I was consuming until I joined MFP. Now I know why I wasn't losing weight before MFP.GL!

I would agrre that the HRM is more accurate. It is constantly counting and averaging your HR.

I agree that you should see your doc. But a few other things you may want to try are.....good support comfortable shoes and back stretches. I found that stretching helps my back a lot. Also nice hot showers / bath will help to relax those sore muscles. A deep tissue massage works wonders for me too! Your back problems…

Hi Becky, welcome to MFP. I really love this site. It helps me track calories, nutrition and exercises, to mention a few. I find it very helpful is helping me watch what I eat and encourages me to be diligent at exercise. GL!

It has helped me. I do not write down anything on paper since I joined MFP. It keeps track of everything for me and I even have it on my droid to use when i cannot get to a computer!

Not sure if it works for weight loss, but, it is good for your immune system. And I have heard that the only form that works is the liquid. Not sure if that is true or not. I take the caplet form. But, I will not take it after I run out.

At a sustained high heart rate you could go into cardiac arrest.

Yes, that is getting into a danger zone for your heart! Please slow down. All of the research that I have done, and my profession (Flight RN), shows nothing near the 200 mark. I have found a web site for you to check out. To accurately calculate your cardio heart rate, you need your resting heart rate in the equation.…

Ah, those good ole cheat days.......When I started this life change, I told myself that I would have one cheat meal a week, that way I could enjoy the old fat foods that I so love. But, now that I am almost 4 weeks into my lifestyle change, I have only cheated once.......Everytime I think of having that "fat" meal, I get…

You are thinking right! MFP has helped me. It tracks EVERY calorie! It even has bacon grease (I thought that was just a southern thing). Good Luck on getting healthy!
-
Here goes everything! A positive attitude and the support of friends (MFP friends, also) and willing to succeed! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Hi, congrats! Calories consumed plus more needs to be used to lose weight. It is a balance thing. If you consume as many calories that you burn, you will remain approx. the same weight. To lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you consume. Starting aerobics is a fantastic start! This site helps you track…

Great start............but I don't think that running will be the best way for you. If you hate running you may become very bored and eventually stop. The concept of running is great. It will increase your heart rate into a "fat burning" zone. And that is where it should be for your cardio workout. But, if you can find an…

The people here are very encouraging and have positive attitudes. I do have irregular sleep issues and am also a smoker. I believed that I could not exercise and smoke because of becoming…

I would suggest taking Vitamin C 1000mg everyday, without fail. And if you do start feeling a little under the weather, increase it to at least 3000 - 4000 mg a day until you are back to normal and then decrease it back to 1000 mg a day.
