  • Can you please point me to where you found that pizza recipe? It looks delicious.
  • It was good! Really filling too, I was surprised with the size of the portions I'll add it to the regulars if my wife likes it. That was my first recipe from that site, i've been using sugarfreemom.com. I've like all of those a lot too.
  • I'm making a baked ziti recipe from skinnytaste.com http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/09/low-fat-baked-ziti-with-spinach.html with some roasted carrots and parsnips.
  • I've been weighing on Fridays too, in the morning right after I get home from work. This week I lost 2.4lbs. That is nice and all, but it really does just mean that i've got plenty to lose. I'm aiming for 200lbs for my 30th birthday (April 24th), 7 pounds to go, then on to the next goal! So do you all have routines or…
  • How long or how many miles does it usually take you to feel back pain? Have you experimented with stem height and length? What sort of bars do you use? There are lots of great options with multiple hand positions. I like drop bars, but the butterfly trekking bars look interesting too. Tall stems look a little nerdy, but my…
  • Mine is open. I don't believe that it's all that interesting that anyone would seek it out. Either way, I don't really worry about comments or snooping. I am human and prone to imperfection. In the end, I am only accountable to myself.
  • sugarfreemom.com I've used this website exclusively for the past three weeks and have loved everything that I have tried. Great site for lean and nutritious recipes.
  • I'm finding it very hard to log the bad days. Not out of guilt, but lack of nutritional information on the fatty foods at local restaurants.
  • Enjoy your birthday! Mine is next month and I plan on enjoying it as well. As was already said, I don't believe you will gain 15 lbs from indulging. If you really feel guilty, maybe some exercise the next day?
  • I have multiple reasons to improve my health. I am responsible for my 15mo daughter's dinner, so I want that to be nutritious for us both. I also want to be as healthy as I can be for longevity and energy to get the most out of my time with my family. On top of that, my wife looks fantastic, I want to return that favor. I…
  • Well, in my case, I can only eat what I bring with me. Lately i've been eating a couple pieces of fruit or some berries and drinking coffee... lots of black coffee. My diary is public if you want to compare.
  • Thank you! The best part is, I am enjoying my weekly meals so much more than past diets. In the past my healthy foods were always so bland. I found all of the recipes at sugarfreemom.com, that site is wonderful. I started this for my daughter, to cook her nutritious meals. Now it's for both of us.
  • What is my macros? If I had one serious addiction.... it's soda, not beer. I've cut that out entirely because I can't drink just a little.
  • No worries, not gonna happen! I'm a beer snob!
  • I tried to think up a better term... but they were all long winded. I suppose "healthy lifestyle" would have fit!
  • Exercise? Whats that? Unfortunately, i'm not currently exercising. When the weather gets around 50 degrees, we do frequently go out for long bike rides with a trailer, 20ish miles usually.
  • Thanks for the suggestion. I do love a lot of the Founder's offerings..... except the All Day IPA. Not really a fan of session IPAs. But still a good point
  • Wow, very insightful. Care to expand on that?
  • No, I never plan on giving up beer! I realize I can fit it into life, but I wasn't sure how or when. I think I am trying to approach this the same way as you, but I am still trying to learn how. This is only my 2nd week into my new eating habits. I want to make sure I don't sabotage myself.
  • Thanks everyone. The example with lettuce was a good illustration.
  • Ah! That makes sense. Thank you everyone.
  • Boy, you guys really get around. Anyone here riding with a local bike club? My week so far. I've pulled my 9month daughter in her trailer on each ride. -Monday: 20 miles -Tuesday: 7.4 miles -Wednesday: 13.32 miles I'm looking to do an organized ride in september with my sister and daughter. It should be a lot of fun.
  • 12mph is a decent average speed. Welcome back to the saddle. I'm just getting riding again after about one year. My wife and I had our first child and I have been pulling her in a trailer. I jogged when I was in high school and I don't have any desire to do that again. I swear my shins are still aching from it.
  • I haven't been on this site for over one year. My wife and I had our first child and she is now old enough that I have been cycling with her in a pull behind trailer. We did 20 miles yesterday in roughly 2 hours. We've been riding 2-3 times a week, roughly 15-20 miles each ride. I've gained 16lbs over the last year, time…
  • I have the exact same problem. I get really terrible leg cramps on a bike if I don't eat enough potassium.
  • The hamster dance, haha! Are you referring to ancient website the hamster dance or is there a new song that I am unaware of? Today at the gym I listened to Portishead... I guess that is actually anti workout music but I think it's soothing.
  • Oh man, I can't take that stuff! I don't drink very often so when I do I won't fret about calories. I'll have a Bell's two hearted ale, that's the good stuff.
  • Another 3rd shifter here. I do things a bit different I guess, I start my "day" at 12:00 midnight and end at midnight... the page automatically changes days and I don't want to navigate through them. Anyway, my diary is open if you want to see it. I consider my 3:30 AM work break to be breakfast then I go home and sleep. I…
  • Personally I would just rest and feel better. I also don't like the thought of going to the gym with sick people sharing machines with me.
  • +1, I am not a vegetarian but I also like morning star veggie burgers. Turkey burgers are pretty good too if you don't care for the veggie patties. I agree about trying not to eat when because of your emotions... but it's easier said than done. I was grouchy the other day and went after some jelly beans, but tried to limit…
