  • Just did week 5 day 2 tonight and it felt good. My legs didn't bother me at all! In a way it seems easier because I am doing this on a treadmill and with shorter run times, I have to keep looking down at the timer which only seems to frustrate me that time never goes by as fast as I had been hoping. Another crazy week at…
  • Thank you for Kath and Jenyfur for the motivation to just go for it on week5day3! Today I did week5day1 and it wasn't too bad at all. I even noticed that my heart rate isn't quite as high as it used to be in the beginning! Oh, Kath good luck on your first 5K - you will do great and absolutely love it!
  • I just finished week4day3 yesterday. I'm glad to have made it through, though I admit that even though I did it years before I get paranoid about running for 20 minutes straight. It seems like a large jump from everything we've ever done. To those who have finished that week, did you just go for it and plow through or did…
  • Just couldn't wait to tell you that I finished week 4 day 1! I kind of didn't want to, but my daughter went with me and did it beside me! My shins kind of hurt at the end tho. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
  • Larry thanks for the advice and peptalk. Tonight I just did W3D3 and it felt pretty good. I did get my orthotics on Tuesday and have been breaking them in, so don't know if that made a difference, but whatever it is - I'll take it. Looking forward to starting Week 4 over the week-end!
  • Started on a new project at work, so haven't been on. Even though I was tired after work, I managed to do w2d3 on Tuesday and it seemed to help with the stress of work!! Then last night I did W3D1. I've noticed since starting on Week 2 my legs hurt from right above my ankles in the front to mid-way up my calves, even…
  • I did W2D2 today and it felt pretty bad. I don't really know why cause when I did W2D1, it felt fine. If W2D3 feels this bad, I'll repeat week 2. It felt like I had a bowling ball attached to my rear!
  • To get your maximum heart rate you should be able to subtract your age from 220. I'm 53 so my maximum heart rate is 167.
  • HunnyLuvsJorge, you sound a lot like me! I run on a treadmill & am also 5'1. My run is at 5 while my walk is at 3.5. While doing W2D1 yesterday, my heart rate went up to 160!! which is something like 95% of my max since I'm 53 years old! I also worry about my running form, but maybe I should be concerned about my heart…
  • I'd love to join in. I just did week 1, day 1 yesterday. I plan to do week 1, day 2 tomorrow. Previously did the C25K two years ago and ran for the first time in my life. Last year after surgery, quit running and put on weight. I hope I can get back to this.
  • I am in a Core Fitness class and we definitely use the hula hoop. I used to be able to do it when I was younger, but now?? Nobody can explain to me what I'm doing wrong. Guess, I'll just practice more.
  • Word for word, this is exactly what I wanted to say. I really like the ones that zip up the front! I am also a DD and can jump rope with that on!
  • Thank you to all of you for your welcome and advice! I feel more motivated now!
