  • Eating late at night causes weight gain. Nope its not what time of day you eat but what you eat that causes you to gain weight. However it could cause heatburn and indigestion.
  • When you exercise you are turning fat into muscle. Ummm soo wrong. A fat cell is always a fat cell. A muscle cell is always a muscle cell. When you lose weight you are simply reducing the amount of fat stored in the fat cell and thusly it becomes smaller.
  • Umm fat never turns into muscle. I wasn't trying to imply that Biggest loser was a healthy way to lose weight. Just that it disproves the theory that you need to eat the calories you lost during exercise so you don't go into starvation mode. However, just like there are people who gained the weight back, there are people…
  • Last comment on this subject...We can discuss this topic without end concerning "starvation mode" and whether or not you should eat the calories you expend during exercise. My final example is the tv show the Biggest Loser. These contestants are usually obese. They work out almost 8 hours a day and still remain on a diet.…
  • Both of you are abosultely right...I wasn't trying to imply that it was impossible but as you stated it takes a MUCH HIGHER deficit. More than likely we are not reaching this deficit by exercising unless you are some type of professional athlete. So I was just suggusting when you are significantly overweight "starvation…

  • I personally am motivated by what I have already lost and don't want to gain it back so that is what I think about. Sometimes I recite a bible verse or find something else that makes me happy. Because I to am a emotional eater and I love food it always makes me happy. I suggest you go talk with someone like a counselor or…

  • No.... don't do it . Exercising doesn't mean you should go and eat more food. You exercised to get rid of those calories ....which results in weight loss.....why would you eat them back? It is almost impossible to determine how many calories you expend during exercise any way and your body is not processing the food you…
  • Naturally burns calories.......? You can not count the calories that your body uses daily to preform neccessities of living, i.e breathing...., coughing....., heart beating, as weight loss calories. Yes it takes energy to preform these task and your bodies fuel for this energy is in the form of calories. But they aren't…
  • Thanks for the advice. I am consuming about 25 to 30 grams of fiber a day. I already drink about 9 glasses of water a day also...is this not enough?
