Good for you, you are losing in a way that is sustainable and not hard on your body. Guessing you will have little difficulty maintaining in the long run. Keep up the hard work, you are going to look unbelievable as you are already so pretty!

Congrats! That is an incredible loss. What is the HMR Program? I don't think I am that inspiring but something that keeps me going is thinking of losing & fitness as a lifestyle change that will last forever, not a quick fix or starvation diet. Whatever I am doing has to be sustainable, there is no quick fix. Good luck and…

Not sure why state you failed at the revenge part? Looks like a total success to me! Guessing you mean when you started focusing on yourself instead of the revenge you found true success. I do a little of both to be honest, both thoughts motivate me. I am grateful to Donna (a mean waitress) and an even meaner relative,…

I can't really remember exactly but loose pants and heightened self esteem rank high ;)

Walking plus eating less has worked for me in the past.

Just eat clean; or go vegetarian; or cut out all crap and eat half of the rest; run many miles a day or something similar and eat whatever you want. Eat half of everything including crap. I bet these things would work. After logging for long enough you'll just know portion control etc. Only you can know what will work best…

that is a true success...willpower and having the mental stamina to overcome an urge are what this all boils down to. CONGRATS

If I can do it at 51, so can you.

This is a really good thread; feel free to add me. 51, maintaining a 37 lb. loss. Want to lose about app. 15lb. more but not in a rush. Have added weight to my regime and must say that is the way to go girl friends. Muscle eats calories and we lose muscle as we age...so build more muscle right? makes sense to me and to top…

I have noticed people respond more favorable to me now in general...men and women.

You are a beautiful young woman, don't ever forget it. Good job overcoming depression on your own...wow, impressive. keep up the great work!
-
That is certainly a milestone worth talking about...and in such a short time. Good job!
-
Great job seeing the positive and not dwelling on the negative. Good luck!

The results show, but I think you should see a dietician or dr. so that you know how to do this correctly. You don;t want to hurt yourself in the process and you obviously have the willpower and dedication that it takes. Good luck!

HELLO...AMAZING! I'm so impressed, that came with a lot of hard work and dedication. Congrats on a job well done. Your story is inspiring and I would love to hear how you did it. Especially the emotional part. Not that I personally have an issue with depression, I know someone who does and I'm wondering how you kicked…

First off congrats on taking control of your health and your success. Secondly, I would see a dr. about your question. Third, I would focus on reducing body fat percentages while building muscle and not so much dropping weight anymore. I'm no pro but from my experience that's what I'd do. Sounds like you are already doing…

Well buddy, I don't know you and I see a HUGE difference. The super exciting part of your success is what's been happening on the inside. AMAZING in only 8 months to have that type of positive impact on your health...crazy. Similar changes happened with me too. Keep it up, you are obviously doing something right!!

What an inspiring success story, brought tears of joy to my eyes for you. Congrats for taking control of your health. Would love to hear more about how you did this. You are living testimony of what motivation and willpower can do in a person's life. Awesome read, thanks! Keep it up, never go back!

Great post - I use an empty one lb. box of butter as inspiration or a reminder of what a lb. of fat looks like. I keep it in my room to remind me. weird maybe, but it works for me. Visualize 35 boxes of butter stacked up, that's what I've lost so far. 35 BOXES!!

Good for you for taking control of your health and life. It isn't always easy but obviously it can be done as your are living proof! Many people face adversity and crumble, you haven't, congratulations. You are an inspiration to others in similar situations (and not.) I am proud of your accomplishment, you should be too.…

How was the surgery? Are the scars bad? How much did it cost?

From what I've read there are many factors that go into this and everyone is different. You have youth on your side, which should be a bonus. I'd start lifting for sure and focus on the health benefits of weight loss primarily. Good luck and congrats on your loss!

Mom of three, 14, 19, 21, have already lost 35 lbs. with 20 more to go. Wish I had got on the bandwagon ten years ago with taking care of myself, I've been on tracy for last two years...working out and eating better. I teach and juggle family life, which is difficult as those of us who do it know. taking care of myself was…

You have a wonderful cousin. Glad to hear she set you straight, you look really good. I wouldn't obsess about the scale at this point. You are basically "there" ; I'd try to change my muscle to fat ratio and work out harder incorporating weights to switch it up and tone that body that you worked to hard to get. You look…

You should eat back all of your exercise calories like MFP says to. I also use a university gym, it's fantastic! Good luck to you, if you want this you will get to where you want to be. Its all up to you in the end. Reading success stories is very inspiring. Good luck and don't overdo it at the gym and get hurt, slow and…
