  • Bacon. Hands down, my favorite source of protein is bacon. Now do I get bacon all the time, no, but we do indulge in a slice or two on Sunday's, because everyone should get to have the things they love every once in a while. :) On the other hand, our most common protein source would be beans, on Monday, I cook up a crock…
  • I prefer a simple one or two syllable name to call my dog, therefore "Please Don't Feed the Moose" is simply referred to as "Moose" or "Moo-dog". I have a long history of giving my dogs oddball names. :)
  • Damn! I am not a vegetarian and I never will, because bacon, but I just had to favorite your blog for recipe ideas. I enjoy eating meat-free here and there, but your photos and recipes sound absolutely fabulous, so maybe we will have to eat a little bit more meat-free in the future. Thank you for providing such awesome…
  • Bra. Hands down. I've gotten into the bad habit of wearing cami's with built in bras because I get some support with a lot more comfort. Luckily, I have a job that allows me to do this. Since last summer, I have worn a real bra only a handful of times. Life is good.
  • I have a glass most nights before bed, as long as I'm not going over my calories, it has never been an issue. Drink up and enjoy!
  • Long Live the Queen, super fun times! It's available on Steam.
  • Can I be a black-haired ginger?
  • This! I've also used it as a filling for veggie lasagna or enchiladas.
  • I am an even 5ft and (currently) 156 lbs. I have been doing well with a 1320 calorie plan. I have been losing and most day's I don't go over my calories nor am I hungry, but some days I am ravenous, so I listen to my body and eat when I'm hungry, I just try to make it a healthier choice. Everyone is different and no two…
  • Ditto. I'm not overweight because I hate food. :) If I had to give up the things I love, I wouldn't be able to do it. Moderation is my new motto.
  • I was able to find this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/calories/maruchan-ramen-seasoning-packet-46866077
  • Moving to Florida. :) That is how I'm dealing, because yeah, I have asthma and the cold, cold air on my lungs makes me start coughing as soon as I get outside. The good news is, you do warm up quickly once you get moving. I still don't wear layers though unless it is bitterly cold because then I get too hot. I have warn a…
  • It may be the product they use to clean the lettuce and veggies. I have issues with it too, it is a product called Fit. It causes mild swelling in my lips and tongue, bloated stomach and loose stools (within an hour of eating something with it).
  • Many lettuce's are cleaned with a product called "FIT" and I have allergy-like symptoms with that product. I can no longer enjoy salad bars that use it to clean lettuce and other veggies.
  • Avocado's and pomegranates. I used to be able to eat both and love them, but now they cause nausea and overall stomach discomfort. Sometimes to the point of vomiting. The avocado's make sushi restaurants fun.......I have to be super diligent there cause a lot of rolls come with avocado whether they say it or not.
  • Yep, I will be tracking, though I may have to write everything down just to keep track (cell service sucks at my parent's house so I probably won't be able to log it via the app). "Hiding" a day from myself is just silly. It won't change the fact that I gorged on green bean casserole and homemade rolls and (hell yeah)…
  • Totally agree, you must love yourself for the parts you have. My sister-wife had a child 15 months ago and she used to be "skinny and beautiful", now she is healthy, but her shape has changed. She has decided to love her slightly pudgy belly (baby stretched it out) and the fact that she is an outty instead of an inny…
  • I know there are programs out there to "walk off the weight". It sure it better than doing nothing! I too dislike exercise for the sake of exercise. I walk to work and back (a mile each way) most days and though the weight isn't flying off, it is going down and I am slimming/toning up.
  • Wow and Diablo 3 addict - though currently not playing either due to class load, but I graduate in December, so after that I will be free again! Also, Animal Crossing - New Leaf. Guilty pleasure of mine. :)
  • Way to go! You are well on the way to being a much healthier you! And it's never too early to celebrate, always celebrate the steps it takes you to reach a goal, not just the goal itself!
  • Words, so many of them, so I didn't read others responses, but here is what has helped my boyfriend and I. We drink a carbonated water that is sugar, artificial sweeterner and sodium free. Brand name is La Croix and comes in several flavors. We like it so much we decided to go the next step up and bought a Soda Stream. It…
  • Other than Ghost in the Shell I'm not into anime, but I do love me some cosplay, so add me if you would like.
  • My favorite is a healthy remake of Olive Garden's zuppa toscano. Cook 1 package of turkey sweet Italian sausage in a skillet by removing the skin and crumbling (like burger). While that cooks, heat 8 cups of broth (of your choice) in a large pot to boiling, add about 5-8 (depends on size) cubed red skin potatoes (I leave…
  • The one thing I don't like about MFP is the fact I cannot just "like" a status, so LIKE. :)
  • Do I need to prove my geek-cred or will you just take my word for it? If so, you may add me, if you need proof, just ask. :)
  • I don't have a cat, my dog does, and they are inseparable. :)
  • Well, currently, I still live in Missouri, my home state, but I'm moving to Florida (around Orlando or Tampa) in January after I finish school to pursue my first teaching job. I just thought it would be nice to get to know some people before I move and maybe get some tips on places to live, etc.
  • I log on daily and I try to be active at least 5 days a week. I love to cook, so I can definitely post recipes too. Feel free to add me. :)
  • And me! :)
