Like it was said before...sprint training. have you ever tried to change the speed while going 12 mph. it ain't easy.

i say before. that way 1) you can settle down a little before going to bed and 2) your body is still burning cals in the hour after you workout.

I hate when people do that too...but some people have a favorite machine...and maybe that was his? lol. i do the same thing sometimes. i have a favorite elliptical and bike and i always try to use them no matter what.

what's worse than not reracking weights is when people can't put them back in the right spot. In my gym there are little stickers on every peg saying what weight goes on what peg....and i hate when i have to take 2 35lb plates off to get to the 10's i need because apparently people don't know their numbers!

unsweetened vanilla. I asked my fiance to buy it for me once and he got the sweetened one on accident (ugh, men!) and while it was absolutely delicious, I didn't even drink half of the carton because it's TOO sweet. I would just take a sip if i had a sweet tooth because it's like liquid dessert!

yes and no... i would not eat back ALL of my cals because, for example, if you get on the treadmill for an hour and you burn 500 cals it's not like you wouldn't have burned cals in that hour at all...so i would say eat SOME of those 500 back because MFP already accounts for your normal burn in that hour. here's what i…

you make a good point about how a longer run would make the 5k seem shorter...i never thought of it that way! maybe i need to experiment and try this!

I usually rest the 2 days before a race, but i run races competatively so i need the rest so that my legs and body are ready to go. if you are just running the race as motivation to work out and you don't care about your time then i would say there's no harm in doing your run on friday.

i have flat feet and uneven hips....so my knees used to kill me when i picked up running at the beginning of this summer. but i got a pair of new balance 890's and they are magical!

I am 5'4" 141lbs. I figured out my BF using my scale and about 4 other calculators online and i think i'm around 29%.

i think 10% is a pretty good amount of compensation. i had to take my engagement ring in twice to be fixed within the first couple weeks of having it and they gave me about a 5% rebate. it didn't take as long for them to fix mine as it did for yours though (only about a week for the 2 combined trips).

July 19th for me! got about 10, maybe 15 lbs i'd like to drop by then. my dress is a mermaid fit so i want to slim down a little so i can feel super confident showing off my curves!

I'm pretty sure my fiance has NASM. he paid like $800 and they sent him everything he needed to prepare for the test...a dvd, workbook, and textbook. he studied his *kitten* off and did the activities in the workbook...and he passed the test first try.
