I pronounce it the way you do, but "comfort-a-ble" makes more sense, since that is the way it's spelled. After all, you don't "comftor" someone, you comfort them. But I'm still not changing the way I say it. For the person who asked about California, I was born here and have lived here almost all my life. We use the R. For…

Salt and Vinegar chips, hot cheetos and hot fritos. Can't keep big bags in the house or I WILL keep stuffing them in my face. Also, Nutella and french fries. Not together. Although that actually sounds kinda good.

Cosplayers are one of my daughter's favorite things about SDCC. She has to stop and take pics with the really awesome ones. She probably would have stopped you if she had seen you. I'm currently playing Skyrim again since I just bought the Dawnguard and Hearthfire dlc.

I like some songs with realllllly stupid lyrics (10001110101 by Clutch comes to mind), so I guess music.

Pushing Daisies The Others Miracles Dead Like Me Apparently I like shows that nobody else does because they seem to get canceled quickly.

I know, right!? I had never been before, but when I was complaining about not wanting to spend too much on a dress I may only wear a couple times (not a dress kind of girl), a friend told me to try Ross. I got the dress, skirt and top for $43. I was super impressed.
-
You look great! And this may be a weird question, but were you at Ross? Because I was there yesterday. Trying on dresses for a wedding (I think I saw the first one). I also tried on a skirt and top and ended up buying both outfits because I couldn't decide which one to wear. So I posted pics of both on Facebook asking for…

Every now and then, when I get bored with plain water all day, I'll get a 6 oz container of raspberries and smash them through a fine mesh strainer. Then I mix the raspberry juice with 2 packets of Stevia in the Raw for a little extra sweetness, squeeze some lemon juice into it and dump it in a pitcher of filtered water.…

I know Tulare. We were stationed in Lemoore for 3 years. Used to go to Tulare to hit up the outlet stores. :)

I've watched Thankskilling a couple times with my kid (she's 18 though). Just so you know, Netflix has a movie called Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead. I'm fairly certain we're going to watch it. As for the OP, my husband would always take our daughter out for father/daughter days. He still does, in fact. Last…

I listened to that on a road trip a couple months ago. I really liked it. Definitely makes you think.

I have only lost 60 lbs but... After 10 years, I'm no longer on medication for high blood pressure. I no longer have to take meds for IBS or acid reflux either. I'm much less worried about dying of a heart attack in my 40s like my mom did. I can run 10 miles without stopping. I can shop at Victoria's Secret because they…

Books. I love to read so I figured I'd like ebooks too. My husband got me a Nook for xmas. I love it for watching Netflix/Hulu while on the treadmill and browsing the internet but I hate reading on it. It is great for travel though because when I'm on vacation, I don't want to take a bunch of books, but I always end up…

Oryx and Crake was a good one. I really like Margaret Atwood. I've definitely been on a zombie kick lately. I'm currently reading Monster Nation by David Wellington and Rise Again by Ben Tripp.

Yes. Also, knowing exactly what I'm going to do helps. When I first started, I didn't have it planned out so there were days I'd just go "What am I going to do today?" and end up not doing anything. After that, I decided to do a jillian dvd every day and c25k 3 days a week. Then I was doing weights 3 days a week, running 3…

Yup. Holden was a whiney little snot.
-
That's how I feel. Except I don't take anything. Working out just pisses me off. My family treads very lightly around me during/after my work outs. I feel ripped off that I don't get that happy/good mood feeling.

lol <Barbie weights did that. No lie.

I've already got my tickets. Four days and preview night.

Agreed. Last night we were catching up on True Blood and when Claude came on, I was like, "Wait, THAT'S Claude? Seriously? No. Just no." I read Shawshank before I saw the movie and I still thought the movie was better. In fact, that's the first thing that came to mind when I read the OP. I did enjoy The Mist too, but my…

I just picked this up from the library today. I'm not much of a comic reader but every now and then, a series does hook me. I read all of Sandman and Y: The Last Man. I read Fell and loved it and wish Warren Ellis would get back to it. I'm currently reading The Walking Dead.

This is the best thing I've read all morning.

I LOVE Christopher Moore so much. My daughter and I read A Dirty Job together and there were parts we had to stop because we were laughing so hard we were crying and couldn't breathe.
-
1. The Stand by Stephen King 2. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee 3. Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett I read a lot too. On Goodreads, I have 1051 books on my read shelf and 192 on my to-read shelf.

Interestingly enough, one of my "felt old" moments also involved NIN. My 18 year old daughter LOVES them. A few years ago (when she was 14) we were listening to "Head Like a Hole". I told her that song reminded me of being her age and a freshman in high school because it always came on MTV when I was getting ready in the…

I don't know if I'd call these the BEST things, but some of my favorite things are... He didn't treat me any differently when I weighed 245 lbs then he did when I weighed 150 lbs. He still made me feel sexy and wanted. He kisses me before he leaves for work every morning (I'm usually still in bed asleep). He leaves little…
