I'm currently reading Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult, The Infernals by John Connolly and trying to decide if I want to finish Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin. I put it down quite a while ago and I'm still angry.

I eat at least one whole egg every day. I started doing this when I started trying to lose weight. I was honestly a little worried about my cholesterol, but after a year and a half, I had it checked again. My cholesterol levels (which weren't bad in the first place) were even better.

My Nook is for watching Netflix/Hulu on the treadmill (Merlin is my current treadmill show). The last few nights, I've been reading H.P. Lovecraft stories to my daughter. The book is a hardcover, leather bound edition. Before we start reading, I spend about a minute smelling the book. It smells amazing.

I had the EXACT same problems. I wouldn't even go to a sit-down restaurant unless we were coming home immediately after. If we were traveling by car somewhere, I wouldn't eat until we got to our hotel or our destination. It was awful. But once I started trying to lose weight, started eating healthier foods (a lot more…

I took my daughter to the ER on Friday morning because she was in so much pain, she couldn't sleep and couldn't stop puking green stuff. The tests showed a lot of gallstones and on Friday night they removed her gallbladder. Said it was very inflamed and definitely needed to be removed. They also said it was unusual in…

I can't recommend the c25k app enough. Also, Zombies, Run! has a c25k training app too.

Sitting on hard surfaces is very uncomfortable. No longer fitting in some of the clothes I really liked. I figured once I lost a significant amount of weight, I'd enjoy shopping for new clothes. Nope. Hate the crap out of clothes shopping still and try to avoid it. Having to work out. I'm lazy and even after doing this for…

I do not cry easily and i have never cried so hard as i did at this damned movie. I thought it would be a nice family film to watch while my dad was visiting. My daughter and i spent the last 30 minutes of the movie with tears running down our faces and the last 5 minutes flat out sobbing. Even my dad and husband were…

My scale hasn't budged. Like not at all. But I did go down a size since I started lifting. I try to ignore the scale but it's hard sometimes. I really do wanna get at least down into a 'normal' weight range (my BMI is actually still closer to obese than it is to normal). And I know people say BMI is crap, and for athletes…

QFT. I only had beets for the first time a few years ago. I asked my husband if they were supposed to taste like dirt. He said, "Well, they do come from the ground." My reply was, "They taste like they ARE the ground." Gross.

 Really? Because I'm still considerably overweight and my doctor (the one with an actual medical degree) told me at my last appointment when I was *****ing about not having lost any weight for months and months that my blood pressure was great, my cholesterol numbers were "gorgeous" and that I was very healthy, which…

I'm working on washcloths for a friend. I did one of those craft pay it forward things on facebook.

I'm also gonna go with "depends on what it is". I'd never ever ever eat turkey bacon. Just no. But I tried a yogurt blue cheese dressing that's half the fat and cals of most regular dressing and I actually ended up liking it better than the regular.

Throw in some PB and chocolate syrup and it's even better. Also, the zucchini tots. Yum. But I like zucchini a lot.

That. My sister is a waitress and she says some people don't even try to get their kids to behave. Said she's seen parents let their kids run around (dangerous), throw things and scream and not even say a word about it. Maybe this is incentive for those parents to actually parent. I like it.

Welcome, Kate, Sue, Julie and Kim!

Congratulations! I definitely agree with you. All the other things are nice but proof that all the hard work has improved your health is definitely the ultimate NSV. Mine was being able to go off blood pressure medication after being on it for 10 years.

I actually measure out a tbsp of creamer every time. I usually have 2-3 a day. My husband on the other hand, pours it in his coffee. One Friday morning, I bought him a bottle of creamer and he used it all by Sunday evening. And no, he's not fat. :grumble: The food that shocked me was the chocolate chip pecan pie I make. I…

I still wear them. But last night I dreamed I was going through my closet to get rid of them and when my kid came in and asked what I was doing, I told her and said that keeping them was just a safety net that would allow me to get fat again. Maybe my subconscious is telling me its time to let them go. Lol

Yeah, the first day I did 30DS, I was only able to get through 12 minutes and spent the next few minutes dry heaving. I had to modify for a long time (especially the jumping jacks which were murder on the knees). I think I actually did level 1 for a month or more. I could now probably do all 3 levels back to back. Keep on…

Yes. My husband and I have been together for 20 years today. Gaining 90 lbs didn't ruin our relationship and losing 60 so far hasn't ruined it either. He has loved me and been wonderful and supportive no matter what I've weighed.

Yes.

I've only been to 4 concerts in my life so it's pretty easy to remember.
-
Styx and Bad Company. In like 2000, I think. I'm not much for concerts. I don't enjoy crowds, uncomfortable seats or really loud music. I'm old. lol

I get that. I have a complete set of dishes that belonged to my mom, who died when I was 15. Even though I have never used the dishes and probably never will, I can't bring myself to let them go.

I have shorts that I've had since I was 16 (so they're almost 20 years old) and was at my lowest weight ever. My husband loved them and I was determined to fit into them again. I can get them buttoned and zipped now but they're still a little too tight to wear comfortably. Also, I may or may not be a food hoarder. There is…
