"Is it 10 grams of protein more, or is it 10 grams of protein less? Who cares, just get started" :)

I'm about 36 lbs in with another 14 to go. Feel free to add me

There's "offended" and there's "I can't help but look at your junk because it's right there" .... I think you got the latter, OP

Yes, lift! Retain as much LBM as you possibly can and you may even benefit from newbie gains ...but don't worry, as a woman it would be difficult to end up bulky.

2-3 times per week. Now that I am eating better I really enjoy wandering around Whole Foods to see what new things I can discover that will fit in with my macros and calorie count. I hate errands, so this was a big change for me. One thing that helped was changing grocery stores to one that is by my gym so I can pop in on…

Look up the Mateusz M video, "Unstoppable" on YouTube - it's about 5 minutes of pure unadulterated movitation. It's a nice kick start whenever I am looking to get back into the swing of things. :)

Seems like a personal thing to hone in the things that can and will push you to go beyond whatever you thought your limits were. For me, I work with a trainer 3x per week and keep reminding myself that I've made an investment and need to make the most of it. I'm also willing to destroy myself because I know that my trainer…

^^^THIS! Last night my trainer was the one who actually told me to get in front of the mirror so I could see (and appreciate) my rear delt definition while going through my reps. I've never seen her look so proud.

I try and estimate (if I don't know, I put in 3,000). Otherwise I won't know what my running net calorie intake is. There have been times when one cheat day has negated 2 weeks of deficits.....I don't want to be surprised by that just because I didn't log

Sometimes I think these things depend on the mood you're in when the person makes the comments. I'm not sure how the comments were delivered, but I think I'd revel in it... I'm all "fuh yeah I've lost weight!!"

These are my people! Friends/family in real life are probably exhausted with me since I can't seem to stop talking about diet and fitness. I sound like a robot programmed to only spout off about macros, calorie counts, circuit training, and interval running. Always welcome more MFP pals, feel free to add me!

Here's a mishmash of advice that's worked for me.... Acknowledge and accept that relapse is normal, and be mindful enough to identify those moments of weakness (seems like you've done this since you're posting now). Once you've identified the issue, minimize the damage. You're understandably discouraged by the recent…

Another one for me: I feel guilt for being a fraud, falsely advertising the size of my chest. [Read: My boobs have gone down from a D to less than a C and I still haven't bought new bras. Some poor man is in for some disappointment when he realizes there is nothing there!]

There really is not any way to 'spot reduce'. Just focus on creating an overall calorie deficit and the fat will come off. Stick with it and the tummy fat is bound to go!

My green juice that I like to have at breakfast is $6. $6 on top of whatever food I'm eating! Before 7am!

I started keeping a journal lately which has helped a lot. I am sure that a lot of what I write looks like the rantings of a mad woman, but it's been a great way to vent my frustrations and talk myself off a ledge on the days when I am feeling down. I also like going back to read my entries from the days I was fired up ...…

You're more than welcome to add me if you have an open diary and plan to be an active user. If you'll humor a recommendation..... One thing that REALLY worked for me was going through the forums and finding people who have found success. Having fit, knowledgeable people as MFP Pals has been a tremendous help over the…

Watermelon...great for mindless munching without packing on the calories

I second the comment about opening up your diary. If you have an open diary and are an active user, then am happy to support you throughout this process if you want to add me. Good luck!

There's a thread around here somewhere about Mindfulness - there are some good ideas in there that have really helped me. Like so many people on here, I have yo-yo'ed for years and am really making an effort to get it off and keep it off this time. So much of what we go through is mental, so it is helpful to take time and…

I'm sleeping a lot less due to waking up multiple times in the night. I used to be able to sleep through just about anything whereas now I wake up because I'm thirsty, need the restroom (thanks to all the water I drank!), or am sore from whatever abuse my trainer inflicted on me. I also wake up well before my alarm because…

Love this thread! I've noticed several changes.. could argue that some of them should have been anticipated, but really the feeling of it happening is so much different (better!) than what I thought going in. 1) Discovered I have dimples (they were just hiding under fat all this time!) 2) I actually *like* yoga pants and…

Those days are such a struggle! At least for me, there is the fear that if I give into a certain craving and eat more then I will fall off the wagon completely. On those days, I have gotten to where I make myself do a little cardio and then pick up a slice of pepperoni pizza from Whole Foods on my way home. It is 300…

I think knowing your weight is important in developing and fine-tuning your weight loss plan. You can try and guestimate the calculation for your TDEE now, but that calculation would be much improved if you know your weight, log your food/exercise accurately, and track how those inputs/outputs are affecting your weight.…

A few for me: - I had a meltdown one Saturday night out when my friend kept insisting that I be in a group picture; I went so far as to leave early because I was so upset. - The realization that part of why I was having trouble finding a boyfriend was because I was at a weight where I wouldn't want to date me. - The fact…

To steal from a well-known motivational speaker, know your WHY. Your Why is what will keep you up at night and get you up in the morning. If the will and the drive are there, you will soon be waking up before your alarm even goes off.

I ran into a similar issue. My night workouts with my trainer are good, but my morning/afternoon ones stink and we have had to bail out of a few sessions halfway through because I was so light-headed. Figured out it was all my diet. At first I just flat-out wasn't eating enough before the work outs. After that, I was…

Kimberly here, down 35 with about 15 to go. I'm not a Weekend Warrior like I used to be (aggressive brunching made me fatty!) but I still take down some scotch, champagne, and craft cocktails. I am usually good during the week and then you'll see a couple of 2,500 'Quick Add Calorie' days from when I am out festing. I'm a…

I'm 5'6". I was a 36D when I was in the 170's and am now kidding myself thinking that I can fill out a C now that I'm in the 140's. I miss the chest, but definitely not all the other weight that came along with it. I get far more attention now that I look healthier overall than I did when I was heavier and had the rack on…

I think they are trying to be encouraging. I think it is silly when someone in the break room is chowing down on a slice of pizza while commenting on how good my plain chicken looks. We both know my chicken isn't as enticing as their pizza, but I think they are trying to applaud my choice/restraint.
