I track in MFP everthing I eat so I don't go over 20g Carbs, 85g protein, 142g fat. I don't worry about the calories though, they take care of themselves if the macros are right.

Yeah, no idea. What size jeans? You could buy a pair to fit you today if you wanted. I think you need to say I'm size XX now and I'd like to wear size XX jeans in 2 months. You could probably expect to lose around 2kg to 3kg a month. So is, say, 5kg enough for you to fit into the size jeans you want? There is no quick fix.…

I don't understand the whole "depriving yourself" mindset. I mean ... at all. What exactly are you depriving yourself of? You are rewarding yourself by NOT eating it. I think the key for me has been to stop seeing rubbish food as a "reward". It's like rewarding yourself for giving up smoking by having a hit of meth. Every…

If you're doing all that exercise and not eating enough that might do it. Also, in spite of advice from what I like to call the "junk food brigade", it's not as simple as calories in calories out. If you're eating too many carbs or too much processed food, and not enough saturated fat and protein, you'll struggle. (It's…

Also OP, you wrote "My Stats: SW: 220 Pounds (Jan 20th 2014) CW: 176 GW: 135 6 ft, 19 Female- Being quite tall you might think that 135 is a bit low but I am quite thin naturally (under all the fat lol), quite lanky so I think 135 would be achievable. " in something else you posted on. And your profile says you're 35. I…

For me : The ideal body weight for your height (5ft 9in) is between 125.28 and 169.23 lbs (or between 56.82 and 76.76 Kgs in metric unit). For you : The ideal body weight for your height (6ft 1in) is between 140.22 and 189.41 lbs (or between 63.6 and 85.92 Kgs in metric unit). For someone a ft shorter than you : The ideal…

As a mother of 4 teenagers, I don't think it's bad to have a song which sends a message that you DON'T have to be skinny. So many girls of normal weight have such huge body issues, thinking they're fat because they're not squeezing into a size 0. And as a woman, I can tell you a good percentage of boys DO like a little…

I do hate to miss out on all the fun. I do have to support the argument that WHAT you eat is just as important, if not more so. I know from personal experience I can eat 1300 to 1400 cals a day of "whatever I want" including sugar and processed foods, and not lose weight ... for weeks. I can, however, eat meat, vegetables,…

I have to disagree. If you're eating bread and grains, you're not low carb, sorry. Not saying people can't eat what they want, but call it like it is. It's like me having bacon for breakfast every morning and calling myself a vegetarian :P
-
I'm guessing low carb isn't for you then mate. Because low carb means pretty much cut out bread, potatoes, grain, sugar, and the carbs you DO eat come from vegetables mostly. Perhaps another way of eating would be more suitable. High carb low fat maybe?

Lol I think there's some confusion above as to what deficit means. 1) how much of the day do you feel hungry? Only time I'm ever hungry is when I get back from a two hour horse ride on a Saturday. I don't normally breakfast before hand nor have time for a BPC. 2) how much of a deficit are you on? roughly 500 cals a day,…

There are plenty of ways to get some good fats and calories into you. Grab a handful of nuts. Add some butter or olive oil to your cooking (yes, butter is good for you). Add a little cheese, use full fat products instead of "light" ones, buy fattier cuts of meat, bacon etc. Add mayo (also good for you).

Yep, eat protein, plenty of saturated fat, little in the way of carbs, and hunger will be a thing of the past. I no longer think one meal to the next, nor am I tempted by everything I see (office birthday cake for example doesn't interest me). What you eat will make more of a difference than how much.

Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese and Cucumber. No snack, don't need it.

Success Stories is probably not the most appropriate section to post this in. Try "Getting Started" or "General Diet and Weightloss Help" ... have a read of a few posts there and then ask any questions you might have. Rather than expecting someone to "tell you everything about losing weight" when it's been posted on here…

I have a HTC One M8 phone with a built in fitbit app. The phone works as a fitbit, so you don't need a device. I also have the MFP app on my phone, and the two talk to each other seemlessly with no help whatsoever from me. My phone records my activity, and when I open the MFP app to enter in foods, there it is. Even…

Keep it simple. Only buy foods from "Round the Outside" in the supermarket as a general rule. This is where all the meat and vegetables are. Avoid the crap in the isles (mostly). 50g of carbs is maybe not low enough for ketosis. At least it's not for me, I need 20g or less. You need to get your headspace right, where…

Oorrrrr you could eat low carb high fat. I've lost 46lbs and I'm still happily eating the same 1700 to 2000 calories a day I started with. But starving yourself is good too.

No pill is going to fix things. Plus, Xenical pulls fat out of your food (thereby reducing the calories you process) and leaks it out your bum. Sounds fine you say? Well yes, possibly, except getting a decent amount of good fat in your diet is really important. Cut your carbs, up your protein, stop eating rubbish = win. Oh…

Shows how little you know about dietary requirements. Low fat is the opposite to how you SHOULD eat. My diet is about 80% fat, 15% protein and 5% carbs and I've never felt better, had better bloodwork, or more energy. LOL yourself for not knowing what you're talking about.

Lol supposed to eat oatmeal? Who says. I eat no grain foods whatsoever, and I'm losing weight and healthier than I've EVER been. Don't eat it, try bacon and eggs for breakfast instead, you'll feel so much better.

Not usually in the pasta isle, they are mostly in the "Natura foods" section, where they have all the Atkins bars and gluten free crap.

These are my goto on a weeknight. I'd eat 4 to 5 packets a week. I fry some bacon and green beans in butter, throw the noodles in after washing them well, add some vegeta or garlic salt or something, some chili powder. A tablespoon of cream and about 25g of parmesan cheese, stir through. I consistantly lose weight, and am…

1. Riding my horse every weekend even though I'm scared, and it hurts. 2. Getting under 100kg in 30 days. 3. Being more tollerant of those in my house who eat rubbish, sulk and do nothing. Repeat after me "It is NOT my problem..."

Don't know, I put in something this morning which I KNOW for a fact has 2g of carbs, but the entry said 13g of carbs (correct brand and serving size) and over 20 people confirmed it but it was WRONG. So ... check the package anyway, just to make sure.

OMFG the radio station that my co-worker insists on putting on every morning in the office. Loud enough you can hear that stupid Katie Perry or Nikki Minaj song played 4 times a day. And annoying when you're on the phone. I want it to stop SO BAD.

I do because I track carbs not calories, and it's easy to go over with vegetables. I used to just make a couple of custom entries though to re-use like "Garden Salad Small" which would be for any side salad like with a steak or something. 30 cals, and 3g Carbs or you could have "Salad - sandwich serve" and just work out…
