You can also do similar replacing half the water with coconut cream when you make Jello. It's nice with the pineapple flavor, but works with pretty much any flavor (I use vanilla berry).

For 8 months last year I ate low carb high fat. Not only did I lose 60lbs but I was pain free, and my moods were stable and positive. Even though things at home weren't perfect (horrible teenage stepchildren). For the last 3 months I've had carbs (yes, like the true addict I am I let down my guard over Xmas and I've been…

I've also removed and reinstalled the apps, which is clearly not the problem given two different phones.

So those stupid "person above" posts get thousands of responses, and yet someone posts that they've lost 70LBS (OMGTHATSAWESOME) and y'all are like "meh, whatever".

eat bacon instead ... :)

20% carbs? That's very high for Keto. Most people are at about 5% carbs. Fat and Protein depending, mine are set at 70% fat and 25% protein, but sometimes I have a bit more protein and less fat. I didn't lose for about 3 weeks, so I upped my fat and reduced my protein a little and now I'm losing again.

Ketosis and keto-acidosis are not the same thing. The nurse gave you bad advice.

Up your fat, and EAT MORE. I guarantee it'll work.

She's not only admitted she's aware she has an eating disorder, but is "recovering" which indicates some sort of counselling and treatment. I think the OP is just looking for some guidance on what's normal and what's "obsessive" behaviour. OP, I say do whatever makes you comfortable. If you stock up when you can afford it…

40 - 50g of protein a day is not NEARLY enough. If you wanted to cut back on anything, you'd be better off cutting back the carbs.

can't afford scales? there are places you can go to weigh for free ... drug store, gym, doctors office?

Sabotage? Really? So if two people in a relationship are a bit overweight and a bit lazy, and one of them decides they don't want to be anymore, why on earth would you expect the other to change as well? That's their choice. I eat low carb, and have lost 60+ lbs. My partner sits on the couch and eats lollies of an evening…

My daughter and HER daughter are both born on 14th October. 17 years apart. Every guy I ever dated when I was younger, plus my ex husband, plus my father are all Leo's. Now I'm with someone who's NOT a Leo and I've never been happier or more at peace.

I know how you feel. I've gone from 275lbs to now about 213. I've had this idea in my head my whole life that when I felt like it I could lose weight and I'd look great in a bathing suit. Perhaps a nice white bikini. The reality is quite disappointing. I was resting my arm on the window sil in the car the other day and…

WTF is wrong with you people who instantly jump on someone who wants to eat clean, but think it's okay to eat cookies and pizza and other rubbish? A "balanced" diet as you put it means balanced as far as nutrients, not an excuse to eat crap. Eating Clean is not restrictive. Cutting all of those trigger foods out of your…

Low carb is NOT a gimmicky diet. It has been around for years and has a proven track record of helping people who were previously unable to lose weight on portion restriction alone to finally acheive sustainable weightloss. Not to mention the miriad of health benefits involved including but not limited to avoiding diabetes…

Lol ... no. Sugar is sugar. The effect is the same. In fact the sugar in a can of coke is the same as the sugar in a slice of bread, or a bowl of pasta.
-
Bacon, egg, cream cheese, almond milk, throw in some spinach ... you're right, yuck. Smoothies = too much sugar.

This has NOTHING to do with migraine sufferers.

My two SIL's go walking etc to lose weight. They never lose weight. They show up at the walking track with latte's and a pastry for breakfast. One of them looked me up and down real catty and asked me the other day "you trying to lose MORE weight?". Lol ... jealousy's a curse.

Ive always got them - my whole life. Used to be 3 or 4 bad ones a year. In 2012 and 2013 it was about 2 a month, I mean can't work, can't drive, can't leave the bedroom bad. Relpax worked great once I got the Migraine, but nothing seemed to prevent it, and despite many scans and blood tests the Drs (and Neurologist)…

other than some fancy equipment in a lab somewhere, no, there's no device. You need to log individual items and work it out.

why was the OP flagged?

Stuff weighs less when it's cooked. I always weigh the raw ingredients and then cook them, but I think I'm short changing myself calories. For example, raw bacon has a lot of calories, but after I've cooked it in the oven it weighs a lot less and there's a fair bit of fat left in the tray that I don't eat. I just can't…

Think of all the money you'd save. It's easy to waste a stupid amount of money buying lunch every day. I used to work in the city and buy lunch most days. Now I work somewhere where there is not shop nearby, and only a basic fridge/microwave kitchen. Takes 5 minutes after dinner to throw some food into a plastic container…

It was included in the list of nut butters. It reads like it's a nut.

We don't thanksgiving in Australia, but Xmas? Sure. Wine, lollies, cheese, salami, other cold meats, dips, crackers, cherries, then the main meal (usually cold food as it's the middle of summer here) potato, pasta salad, cold chicken, ham, prawns (with seafood sauce), then pudding, icecream and custard or pavalova or…

Eat 640 calories extra every day and try and get to a healthy weight. Not having a go at you, it's fine for everyone to say "eat less calories to lose weight" so it's equally fine to say "eat more calories to gain weight".

60lbs in 6 months for me. Only exercise I do is ride my horse once a week. I have a desk job, and eat 1400 to 1800 cals a day.

i used to have my scale on a hard floor and never move it in my old house, I have no option to do it anymore. I like to weigh first thing in the morning, naked, after a pee. There's no privacy in our house to do this, our bedroom is carpet, and the ensuite is tiny, no floor space at all to leave a scale where it won't get…
