Repeating is perfectly fine, but I will warn you about what happened to me. I was so nervous about week 5 day 3 (20 min straight) that I repeated week 5 day 2 for months. literally. It became such a monumentally impossible thing in my head that I was just hiding from it. Finally one day I accidentally selected week 5 day 3…

I'm on week 8, and I've been listening to audiobooks during my runs. I only let myself listen to another segment of the book while running, so it helps keep me motivated for my next run. I just did a 28 minute run, and I looked down at my watch thinking I was about halfway through and I only had 5 minutes left. The time…

I have the same one, and as much as like the features once you start your workout, I find the touch sensitive ring surrounding the face to be a bit twitchy. I do love uploading my workouts to Garmin Connect and having a place to track everything automatically.

I just got back from W5D3!!!! I have been avoiding it for weeks, and I accidentally selected it on my Garmin. Once I realized that I was way past 8 minutes, I said I would just go as far as I could. Next thing I knew, I was finished! I was able to maintain an 11 min/mile pace too. I feel ecstatic!!! Congrats to everyone…

I hit the street - C25K! Last year I quit during the winter due to darkness/cold, but this year I invested in some cold weather running clothes and lights/visibility gear, and I was happy to find I was comfortable running in 20-30 (F) degree weather in the dark!! In fact, my elliptical is collecting dust in my bedroom, and…

Hey, you're just about my MFP twin! I'm 5'11" and currently at 202 lbs. I was at 185 as recently as last summer using MFP, but I fell off the wagon during the holidays! My initial goal was 175. I was in the 140s back in college when I was a swim instructor, but my husband claims I was way too skinny... I guess in the end I…

Can't wait for this to come closer to me! (NJ) The hubby and I often use zombies as motivation during our runs. Cracks us up every time :)

Met when we were 16. Dated for 10 years, engaged for one, happily married (at age 28) for 5.5 yrs!

Love Buffy! My phone is for work, so standard ringer. Only exception is the cantina song from star wars when my husband calls. Also a lightsaber sound for when he text messages :P

Yep, my toes get tingly. Some have suggested to switch and go backwards for a while, but I find that incredibly difficult. I just lean back and put more pressure on my heels. I was thinking of trying to increase the ramp angle, but I don't know if I'm ready for that yet!!

My choice would be American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I still remember how it felt the first time I finished reading it, and I've reread it a few times now.

So true!!! At 33, my parents are wondering when they are becoming grandparents, but the husband and I can't imagine raising a child in a world where everything has to be antibacterial. If we tried to give a child the childhood we loved and remembered, we'd probably be considered awful parents. Whats so wrong with being…

Congratulations! Isn't it nice over here in Onederland?! :D

Its hard to tell whats going to work best for you until you try. I had a gym membership a few years ago, and I went for about six months but then lost interest. Later I purchased an elliptical which became a large clothes hanger. Now I just run outside, and I like it best of all. Make sure if you do sign up that you can…

Eric is my favorite, particularly due to the way they write him in the book. Oh, who am I kidding, Alexander Skarsgard is ridiculously good looking too. (Odd because I'd normally be into someone more like Sam and Alcide). Sam is a cutie, though...

By far the best before and after change I've seen. You look amazing. Congrats, you earned it!!!

For the first four months that I did MFP, I was using their calculated exercise calories for jogging, and I did lose weight. For the most part, I was losing the ~2lb per week that I wanted based on their calculated numbers. Any deviation was because of me going off plan. I've been doing Couch to 5K Now I have been using a…

Better off dead is one of my favorite movies of all time!

I eat taking turns chewing first on the left side for one bite, and then the right side. I also eat my sandwiches "typewriter style" and I need to have an even number of bites across the sandwich. This of course can't be started until eat anything hanging outside the edges of the bread. :blushing:

Welcome and good luck! BTW, love the piglet :)

I have been doing the same thing since starting MFP. Mostly, I just cut out artificial sweeteners (99% of the time...) and have been avoiding high fructose corn syrup as well. I spend a lot of time on the supermarket floor reading labels, and seeing how many words I actually recognize. I wish I had some actual resources…

You guys are the happiest people! Happy, happy! Joy, joy! I second that.

Very inspiring! I'm repeating week 4 now, and the idea of 8 minutes running is scary, not to mention 20. Every time I read a post like this it renews my hope a little bit!

I'm doing C25K with my husband; we're repeating week 4 right now. This is the first time I've had to repeat, and I'm not sure how much the excess heat and humidity have to do with it. I want to run outside as long as possible, but once the heat gets unbearable, I may try moving inside to the elliptical. I know its not the…

I have a theory which kicks in on every weigh in day. I am convinced my fat leaves as poop. I get paranoid about weighing in if I haven't recently :P Ok, now I'm embarassed :embarassed:

This too!

I RUN....barely....but I'm getting better!! (I <3 C25K!)

Book 4 is the greatest, so looking forward to seeing lost puppy Eric on True Blood! Anyone read the new book? I was disappointed a bit on how all the Eric scenes involve him being pissy. :(
