  • Spend more money if you want. From polar the more expensive really just means more gimmicks so its about what you want from your HRM. Polar are a well known, well spoken brand, I don't really see how your heart rate can be more accurate thats going to help you?
  • Absolutely LOOOOOVE My polar FT7!!! I've had it since February and it's really helped me, one for knowing how many calories I've burned and two for running. I am very new to running and now use my heart rate to run further (I know I can run 2.3 miles if I keep my HR around 160ish on the flat) I got mine for just under £70…
  • I'm excited for being told my legs look good. Right now they're short and plump but when I'm done they are going to look amazing!!
  • Congratulations you are glowing!! You just look so much healthier!!
  • I got a trainer to create a program for me as I was a total newbie. 5 minutes on the stationary rower then grab a bench and dumbells 6-10 chest press (i'm not good at terms and my card is at the gym) I started on 4kg dumbbells now on 10kgs 6-10 sumo squats holding a dumbbell (as heavy as I'm comfortable carrying -…
  • I am by no means someone you'd look at and call "fat" but all of my friends are skinny, I am the fat friend and I'm the only single one. I know that losing weight won't get me a boyfriend but when you go out every weekend and watch your friends get all the attention and you're the one going home alone, again, it's…
  • Same boat pal. My thighs make me sad but we will go to the gym come home and sit with our plain pop corn and wait for are bodies to lose from the thighs...
  • 2lbs a week is not "ideal" it is the maximum recommended. You are close to your goal therefore a loss of 2lb a week will be very difficult, yes doable but you will need to be strict and there is a fine line between healthy and unhealthy.
  • I second the martial arts idea! I do Les Mills Body Combat 3 times a week which incorporates a little of martial arts in some of the moves and after four months my legs are really showing some definition now! Still a long way to go but if I had the opportunity where I lived to take up a martial arts class I 100% would!!
  • Yeah something like Yoga and Pilates for beginners that you can do in your own home and stop as soon as you feel unwell.
  • Time. It will take time for your body to adjust, then you can change again and it will readjust. Give everything a month before you worry. Be realistic about your goals. It all takes so much TIME!! Good luck!
  • If you up your lifting/ reduce your cardio, you might not lose "more" as such but more of what you are losing will be fat as opposed to muscle. In the long term as a lifestyle change you will benefit more from lifting more.
  • Coach driver? Lots of service stop visits? Firstly stop buying "crap", and make wiser snack choices and log accurately!!! Do you have a set of food scales? Weigh literally everything, you will be shocked! Choose to walk where you might have taken the car. Little things make big differences, big changes lead to people…
  • Nike Free Run 5.0 till I die
  • i didn't really notice till 15lbs. If you have a lot to lose it might take more. Remember the first lot of pounds is just water weight.
  • They are the worst thing I have ever eaten, I thought I was eating glue. Never again, I just weight my pasta 50g is worth 200+kcals compared!

  • Weightloss is calories out > calories in the higher your heartrate the more calories you burn. As far as I'm concerned the fat burn is a gimmick
  • Currently I am aiming for less than 30% last time was three months ago and I was 36%
  • All the time... Whenever I say no or explain it won't fit in my calorie allowance they have to tell me how they don't care they're happy how they are etc EXCUSE ME I'M NOT PREACHING, YOU EAT AWAY I SAID I DON'T WANT IT!
  • Are you weighing ALL of your food?
  • Personally I consider myself to have exercised if I have raised my heart rate, worked up a little sweat and had to puff. I think exercise is relative. It is relative to the person doing it, depending on your "size" and fitness level simply standing up can be nearly a workout for some. So long as your pushing yourself and…
  • Short term fix maybe but if the dress doesn't fit now, within three weeks it probably still wont fit very well. Buy a new dress and slim down slowly so you end up looking good, not skinny fat.
  • So long as you're portion control is good, you can successfully lose weight eating whatever you want :) Good luck!
  • Being able to wear body con dresses and not looking like someone who shouldn't! Massive NSV with my muffin top!!
  • Only if you think being vegetarian means eating only salad.. You'll have more success eating the foods you enjoy and give you energy by portion control! Life is to be enjoyed and you will succeed in weightloss by training yourself good habits so unless you intend to stay veggie then how will you cope when you go back on…
  • For me I lose off my chest, around my collar bones, neck, cheeks, belly then last of all thighs!! Don't worry it will come!!
  • I hate both. Treadmill? I think I'll just go outside and Elliptical? my hips feel kinda sore. Also agree there is no way your burning 500kcals in 30mins. I tend to go with the rule it is incredibly difficult to burn more than 10kcals a minute and my polar FT7 tends to match that rule.
  • Personally I relate hair length to age. Just my opinion but very few older folk pull off long hair
